Anyone and everyone could apply for cards they couldn't afford because of the credit bubble. And, honestly, regardless of recessions, credit companies BANK on getting interest/late fees from people who can't pay their statements in full each month.

Yes, when people live together everyone needs to contribute. The young relative could do the shopping and help keep house, watch the baby so the mom and dad can work, maybe even get some extra jobs.
It's tragic that love for his wife and child wasn't sufficient for him to "man up" as the saying goes. His life looks bleak unless he changes his way, which seems doubtful. I don't think the wife thought he was carrying his weight, but she didn't want to disrespect him in front of a Television audience. Very kind of her and probably part of her culture, as well.
His only contribution was a snarky comment: "that's 900... what are you doing with the extra 100 bucks?" I kept waiting for Gayle to tell that fat lose that he has to get a STEADY FULL TIME JOB!
My husband and i are doing pretty well. I bought a budget book for next year and started filling in the regular bills. We already keep our grocery bill at a nice number. So glad my husband is on board with being more mindful so we can better tackle my student loans. Im hopeful to get that whittled down significantly in the next 18months! It was the calmest money talk ive ever had with a partner! His overtime this month went to christmas for the kids and that was with reigning him in. I notice that "bank fees" are a recurring item. Is that a Canadian thing? I've banked in the US all my life and I've occasionally had a fee for a printed statement (with online banking, I've eliminated that). Can someone enlighten me?
Yes we have usually minimal “account fees” or something extra like an over draft protection fee or a fee to take a deposit from an account that I meant to hold money longer term. For these folks in the show, I think it is mostly they are withdrawing over their limit, using non bank ATMs, etc
I would guess the extended family lives there to take care of the 2 year old so that the wife can work and they can not pay daycare. To make up for the fact that she is married to a lazy, spoiled man with insufficient education, income or the ability to contribute to childcare or household labor. Women have to be much more careful of who they hitch their wagons to.
I understand why Kevin feels some type of way. While everyone is judging him, I bet it doesn't feel good having all of these people, her extended family, smooching off of you, in your wife's ear, etc. That difference in culture should've both been discussed and agreed upon before getting married and having kids.

Yes, when people live together everyone needs to contribute. The young relative could do the shopping and help keep house, watch the baby so the mom and dad can work, maybe even get some extra jobs.
She needs to ditch this guy.
He walked out on the family shortly after this.
Wow! Gail just did a Dave Ramsey plecectomy...plastic surgery Baby :-) RIP. Love it!!!
How do these lame men score women like this? She's intelligent and attractive and has a good career... he doesn't seem to bring anything to the table.
If you watch the "princess" show, it's far more common the other way round.
His only contribution was a snarky comment: "that's 900... what are you doing with the extra 100 bucks?"
I kept waiting for Gayle to tell that fat lose that he has to get a STEADY FULL TIME JOB!
Agreed. He’s also so not cute!
$500 gift oh my god
God go to a food bank and cut the cable
That party is for the parents. The kid won't even remember.
He loves to spoil his kids (which are his step kids).
Tbose are so many freakin credit cards 😮 i have 5 and thats way too many lol.
My gosh, he is obnoxious!!
He's an ass. He's blaming her when pointing a finger and not looking at what's pointing back. He doesn't want to work hard.
The way he spoke on the phone when he was applying for a job was just awful. He sounded as lazy as he is! When you are making a call like that, it’s time to be professional. Even if you’re a tradesman.
That's just his voice he can't do anything about that.
That pink coat 🙌🙌🙌
Gord's smirk is so gross.
Today, if Gail said she was cutting their variable expences by 69%, they would have said, "Nice"
Why she married this guy?🤔
Rosyln did so good!
I think the guy is lost and doesn't know what kind of jobs are out there. He needs guidance.
Kevin is holding out for a managers position.
This is not a man! And parents living together? That's a never to me!
That vw bug power wheel 😊
This dude complains alot, for a guy not having a steady income for his family...
Snow?..🥶🥶..eughhhh...!
Husband needs a good job
Why part time
Can the other relatives help?
He's a looser he will move on to the next woman! An he's not pleasant to look at. He needs to go!
she needs to divorce him; I don't see him changing dramatically. and what's with all the relatives living with her?
Kevin explains that it's part of her culture.
She did divorce him.
In America if you were that much in debt you wouldn't be able to live in such a nice home! Is it the parent's I wonder?
The whole family lives there.
Parents and sister
We were never told.
Why is her sister living with them
Hey Gail, no need to come over and drop your bag and snoop around. 3 mil net worth and 0 debt. 😊
Why do they need to put $50 aside in Canada for health & dental? Don't they have free health care there?
Dump that hubby.
Debts but nothing nice in the house?
What country are they in Australia?
Canada, I think.
This guy is a bum
I notice that "bank fees" are a recurring item. Is that a Canadian thing? I've banked in the US all my life and I've occasionally had a fee for a printed statement (with online banking, I've eliminated that). Can someone enlighten me?
Yes we have usually minimal “account fees” or something extra like an over draft protection fee or a fee to take a deposit from an account that I meant to hold money longer term. For these folks in the show, I think it is mostly they are withdrawing over their limit, using non bank ATMs, etc
The best thing is to live alone with a dog😊
You try being on disability stability and getting paid once a month. How do I survive and how do I get out of debt
WHOOO DO U KNOW??.... THAT GIVES U ALL THIS CREDIT?
Give the guy a break her whole family LIVE with them and she is a control freak it is shit when family live with you
I would guess the extended family lives there to take care of the 2 year old so that the wife can work and they can not pay daycare. To make up for the fact that she is married to a lazy, spoiled man with insufficient education, income or the ability to contribute to childcare or household labor. Women have to be much more careful of who they hitch their wagons to.
I have debts 😊😊😊😊
I understand why Kevin feels some type of way. While everyone is judging him, I bet it doesn't feel good having all of these people, her extended family, smooching off of you, in your wife's ear, etc. That difference in culture should've both been discussed and agreed upon before getting married and having kids.
The family was MOOCHING off them, not "smooching"...which means kissing...
You're right. Thank you.
