This crochet baby cardigan sweater can also be made smaller or bigger by simply changing your hook size and making it in the exact same way with same number of starting chains as this tutorial. TO MAKE SMALLER OR BIGGER
NB use 2.5mm hook with #3, dk or 8ply yarn
0-3M use 3mm hook with #3, dk or 8ply yarn
3-6M use 3.5mm hook with #3, dk or 8ply yarn
6-9M use 4mm hook with #3, dk or 8ply yarn
9-12M use 4.5mm hook with #3, dk or 8ply yarn
Materials used:
Cardigan = 130g of #3 yarn ( Bebe Alize Sekerim DK)
Two 12mm buttons

I just these past few minutes finished making this jacket n the dress. It's turned out lovely so cute. Lol I just made one little mistake I put the button hole loop on the wrong side of the dress but it's ok a mistake learnt. Thank you so much for all your hard work.

I’m almost done with the dress and then I’m making this 😊 I made a matching yarn fan stitch blanket and then I just need to make booties (I’ve never made before either 😂) and a hat and I got a whole set. I made this to match the dress but it didn't sit right at the front when put over the dress- I'll try it using the bigger hook for the yoke & the body - to see if I get a better fit.
My tension is loose compared to yours😂.

I did three buttons
I love it but first after 3 front double crochet chain 1 3 double crochet to the sleeve what to do for sleeve hole
The sleeves are worked at the end.
Do you have the matching hat for these...I just found the shoes..hahah I am working on the front panels for the jacket now..then the sleeves and then I am done...next will be the dress...I love it so far!!

If I want to make a a bigger one for ages 1-2 what are the measurements and crochet size because I have made alot of things by following your steps

I am working on this size , I used a 5.0 and added 2 extra rows. I also am using a smaller 4mm yarn , but u could probably adjust it with a 3mm by using a bigger type of 3mm yarn or maybe a 5.5 hook. On the dress I did the exact same except the skirt part I went up half a hook size and made the skirt on the dress snd the sweater a little longer
If I make it for Nb I just use a 2.5 hook and fellow a long is that right or do I had more rows...????? Help

Sara, a friend wants me to make this...the baby is 6months and going to use the caron simply soft yarn...would the hook size change? and how much yarn do you think I will need..should I make it a bit bigger so it can last...because babies grow so fast..lol
I would probably use a 4mm hook with that yarn. It’s going to come out bigger specially if you crochet loose so in that case I would go down to a 3.5mm instead. As far as how much yarn, I’d say you can probably make it with one and a half skeins.

I used dk weight which is #3 yarn here in the us. If you have a Michaels I love their snugly wuggly yarn #3.

I am working on this now. I was confused Sara...at the end of the 4th pattern row. (where we are repeating the 2nd and 3rd rows) when the last 4 dc's are done...do you chain 1? before you pinch the second chain to make a SC? lol

Question, I did 2 extra rows on this sweater to make it bigger, so using thr 38th stitch didn't work out , I see the same exact number if stitches in the front and and back . Make sense ? I'm pretty sure I figured it out
