Welcome to the Mini Pop Cardigan tutorial! In this video, we will guide you through every step of this easy and stylish top-down raglan cardigan for babies and children. Free written pattern for blog subscribers here www.mjsoffthehookdesigns.com/...
The Mini Pop Cardigan is seamlessly worked from the top down using a simple and beautiful granny stitch cluster pattern. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced crocheter, this pattern is perfect for you.
The video tutorial will cover the 6-12mth size pattern but don't worry; the written pattern includes sizes 0-3mth to child size 12, ensuring that you'll find the perfect fit for your little one. With its oversized design and 4-5.5 inches of positive ease, this cardigan is both comfortable and trendy.
We will start the video by working on the yoke, where we'll separate the body and sleeves, creating the foundation for this cardigan. Then, we'll move on to the body, band, and collar with buttonholes, providing detailed instructions and tips along the way.
Join us as we rejoin the sleeves and work them in the round, adding the finishing touches with ribbed cuffs.
So grab your yarn and hook, follow along, and create your very own Mini Pop Crochet Cardigan. Let's get started!

amazing, really. I like it . ❤
Thank you ❤
I would love to see this in adult sizes
Here is the adult version ruclips.net/video/chv4yNpWvJo/видео.html
How many skeins did you use for the 6 to 12 month? In your link I didn't understand the yarn arts. So sorry.
Just zoom in on the pic, makes it look adult size 😂
Is this available in a bigger child size?
@sharonstevek.6797 It says 2 skeins in the information. The table of skeins used for each size, is towards the middle, under this video, right above where it says which hooks to use. 😊
hey MJ! thank you for such a cute pattern! i love this so much, finishing one right now. I was wondering if you will make one with a hood? that would be so cute! I will try to add a hood on this one but was thinking if you can make a pattern for it.
I love this little sweater! I am trying to make one for my small 24 month old who is in more of size 18 month clothing so I am making the 18-24 month and am struggling sightly on the counts. I have fallowed the pattern to a "T" and row one I'm still only getting 10 clusters when i should be getting 12. I have taken it out 3 times. I am just now going with it and hoping for the best! I'm still in love with this sweater just new at reading patterns.
I made this one and it turned out so cute. Thank you for the pattern. The tutorial was awesome.
I have to figure out how to post a picture
Hello which size did you make?
@@wendydawson279 I made my swatch and followed along with the video tutorial. I believe it was 6-12mo
Wonderful! Post photos of your MJ's makes in my Facebook community group 😁facebook.com/groups/363218121026907/
❤❤❤
Çok güzel olmuş
This pattern is well done and wonderfully made. I just need to figure how to make it for a child age 8
Love the pattern, bought the pattern now, can I ask what make your crochet hook is please
I am just starting this pattern. It is adorable. One question, you use 2 sizes of hooks, which size do you start with? Thank you in advance
I love this and so pleased you put an adult version ❤
Hello I love this little cardigan I would like to make it for my granddaughter but I would like to use the halo yarn. So my question is do you think it will work will with this pattern thank You
I got the pattern and just started. Row 1 had so many ***** that is very confusing to me, I got a highlighter and marked the size I was making. Still confused I went to the tutorial and compared the pattern to what you did. Finally got it. Thank heavens that you have the cluster counts for all sizes in the pattern. I know about **** in patterns for condensation of wordage, but with so many in one paragraph if I went back to the preceding paragraph it made no sense. A little editing here is needed. I have been crocheting for55 years and this is only the second time of •••• confusion. Hint: a crochet diagram would have solved it for me. Going fine now but a beginner would have cried. Love ver the little pattern and I had the yarn in stash. Miracle great nephew due about May 31. Great summer cardigan.😅
I’m sorry to hear. This pattern has been professionally tech edited by a leading tech editor in the crochet industry and tested. This is how professional patterns are written.
Am loving your patterns. Easy to follow. Am question..currently doing the mini 0-3 mths and want to add the hood, do I work up the 21 rows? Or less? Wondering if 21 is too many. Thank you
Just finished 2 cardigans for my cousin's baby girl. But I want make more for my daughter 3 years old. Can you tell me How many fisrt chain for toodler girl 3 years old, please! Thank you so much for video
You mentioned to leave a long tail on the sleeve to seal the hole at the end. Can you show how to do it? Not sure if I missed any part of the video. Thank you
Hello thank you so much just did my first cardigan as a beginner and love it.. do you have a pattern for a 6yrs old?
Could you connect after finishing the yoke to make a full sweater vs cardigans?
Heyy🎈🎈How many chains should I start with for an 18-24 month old?I lovee your work. I crocheted a cardigan from your work. Thank you❤❤
Beautiful what size was this sweater on her you crochet
Can you use 4 ply yarn instead of dk yarn or do you prefer sticking to DK yarn I just wanna make sure it doesn’t affect anything thank you
Can you also make a pants to go with it
Hello I’m trying to do size 2-4 but really struggling at row 8. Please could you explain what rows I should repeat and how many? Thank you
I don't think I did the ribbing right, do we go up including the increase part or do we go up to just about the increases?
Can I please ask a question? Beginner here, loving the tutorial so far and it’s been super easy to follow but I feel I’ve hit a snag. Once I have separated the back from the sleeves etc, when I am continuing to finish the main body is it still 2 rows of increase and one no increase, or do I not need to do anymore increases for the 10 or so rows? Thanks so much in advance! 🤍
Great video. Just curious about the long tail left when attaching to do the sleeves. Was it used to sew up any holes?
You will use it to sew the hole under the arm.
@@mjsoffthehook, thanks. I went ahead and did that.
Obrigada 🙏
does the chain three when you start the first row count as a stitch, thank you
+Nice one, I am making cardigans for premie babies do you have any tips for downsizing please
I would try a fingering or sport weight yarn with a smaller hook. Easiest way to make it smaller.
Hi.. I'm from the Philippines and i can't find mary maxim yarn/micro acrylic yarn here.. Just want to know if cotton yarn 8 ply are ok to use? I'm a begginer btw.. Thanks..
Hi ! I have started size6-12 months old as you have done in tutorial & finding numbers are different in pattern to watching you doing same size .You have 28 clusters on row 5 but pattern is saying 30 for same size can you help please Lynne Jones
How would I adjust this for 3-4 yr olds
