    I was so hesitant to make a sweater with crochet that i didnt give it much thought. But when i came across ur video, i was delighted. It was the easiest and u have explained it so well. I made the sweater in one day!! I chose to make it sleeveless but i am happy that there is an option for sleeves too, if i decide to add it later on.

    Very nice tutorial. I make a beautiful little cardigan, it came out so nice, a little smaller than yours as I'm a tighter crocheter. Maybe slow down a smidge as I had to pause video and catch up at every row. Thank you, I will make another out of DK and a 4.5mm hook for newborn, we'll see if that works out!

    This was great! I haven't had much luck with clothes in the past. But I decided it was time I better get it right because now we are expecting our own baby!
    One suggestion: it is extremely hard to see when you are referring to a space or a stitch. Like, "dc here, skip this stitch, dc in the next stitch, etc". I couldn't see the holes in your video. I have seen other tutorials where they use another color yarn when you want to show a new row so there is a contrast. You could do that or take more time to show the camera. This sweater is really simple and I know anyone who wants to start making clothes can make this! (It will just be easier for us who make mistakes easier if we could see the stitches you refer to in the pattern!)
    Thank you! I cant wait to check out your other videos and make more things! We've waited 8 years to finally have a baby and he or she will be extremely spoiled!!!

    Hi Sara! when will I learn..hahah I love this cute sweater, I started it with a 6mm hook for a bigger size and when almost done the length realized it was turning out for a 0-3 month old. It's the yarn I used which was a Bernat Premium Red Sparkle 4medium...now not thinking that it's 97% Acrylic and 3%Metallic..lol that is why is was turning small..haah but It is so beautiful so decided to carry on with it..I am learning more about when it's not 100% Acrylic I won't get the right size...Now I know! My other projects thanks to you are just amazing and beautiful...Thanks for all that you do!

    • @CrochetForBaby

      I’m sorry but I don’t know anything. You can try adding 1 extra stitch for each section so 4 extra stitches for 3-6m and 8 for 6-12m.

    Help! I keep doing the sleeve wrong!
    I have too many double crochets every time I count when we get to the part around 23:20 when you say we should have 21 dc. I'm not sure if i'm counting wrong ie counting a stitch which shouldn't be counted or if I'm actually doing too many.
    Mainly getting stuck on the first full circle of the sleeve on where to insert the hook at the start and end of the row. Also when you say about the first dc and the stitch reduction counting as one - do you mean all of this counts as 1 dc or does the first dc count as 1 and then the stitch reduction count as another 1?
    Do you have a tutorial which shows more clearly where to insert the hook?
    Despite pausing the video I cant be sure where you're actually inserting it each time when compared to my work.
    haha if not I might be left with just a baby sweater vest
    thanks

    • @CrochetForBaby
      @CrochetForBaby  4 года назад

      First there is no right or wrong way of doing this so you got this 😊 you can can make your reduction on top of any stitch, if there is no stitch then insert the hook into any space as mentioned. The important thing is to not have a gap between stitches that’s why I do the stitch reduction or commonly known as dc2tg or dc decrease either way it all means the same. These stitches normally have two loops before closing so that’s what counts as 1dc since you’re closing two loops into 1. So don’t count the loops or the legs as I call them sometimes lol, I hope this helps.

      With bulky yarn just use a 3mm hook. If your tension is loose then yes use a 2.5mm

    This pattern doesn't add up. I have the right amount of stitches on the first row. But when I'm supposed to have 60 stitches I only have 59.. You say the first chain 2 doesn't count. But I can't see if you finish the row in the chain 2 or not. I don't and that gives me only 59.
