📌📌📌CORRECTION: For rows 4-14 you will have 76 dc and not 88 as mentioned in video 📌📌📌 📌📌CORRECTION: When diving the sleeves I said 17 instead of 15. It should be 15+27+30+27+15 equals 114 📌📌
Oh no!! Sorry about that. So yes please check comments or description box before starting in case there are correction as I always write them there if any 😉😊
But for row 4 you said there was 74 dc, then row 5 was 84 dc, then row 6 was 94 dc, I haven't gone further than that yet, but it doesn't make sense with your correction??
Sara, Thank you again for this wonderful tutorial! I figured out my edges and now they are right. I have crocheted for 45 years and this is MY FIRST baby sweater!! Thank you!!
Love this little cardigan , I actually converted into a Bolero . As a Brit I also find it very easy to listen to your voice . Thank you for you help through your videos 🌸
This was my first baby sweater ever and I followed along step by step and it actually worked. It's not perfect but it's so close I don't think anyone will notice. I plan on doing another one with no mistakes? Thank you for taking your time so I could do it!
Have just finished mine in 4days,, am buttoning now. Am a beginner and I enjoyed your tutorial skills especially by use of tape measure... This measurements have really helped me keep track. God bless you so much.
I need to point out that on the row where we are connecting the yoke to form our sleeves you said 15 stitches between the first sleeve and back but 17 for the other sleeve. But after completing the row you say 15 for both sides. So I had to undo my work and reposition my stitch markers. No big g deal for me as I’m a seasoned crocheter! I love your work! Very beautiful baby sweater! Will be making a couple more!
Thank you for this pattern, Sara. I love it; it works for both boys and girls. Thanks also for giving us alternative ways to do the neckline trim and trim down the front. I find it easier to do regular HDC’s. Your trick about going between the stitches around the neckline (rather than on top) makes it look so pretty!
Ive tried 4 times to make this i just couldn't keep up , i got as far as row 8 on 76 stitches after that i found it difficult to maintain 76 stitches with the increases for sleeves ,i just gave up, if you do another video with the corrections shown il gladly try again, i ended up making another cardigan on another video of yours which turned out fab too 💗
Lovely easy pattern, I added a row of puff stitch in the middle of the main body and then a row of puff stitch in each sleeve to match, came out amazing x
I really like how well you explain how to do this sweater. I’ve made several and they all came out great. One was football themed. Thank you for this video lesson on the sweet baby sweater and pants!❤
I am beginner, with this tutorial it really help and very easy to do. I have done many other project but I think this one of the best to use for a beginner who is trying to make baby outfits and cardigans with no trouble.
Hi Sara, another one done! Easy but very nice result. I am finishing up a stash of yarn and this model is exactly the quantity I had left. Thanks again for your great tutorials. Be well, have a nice week-end.
hi i loved watching this tutorial. I have only been crocheting for 4 years and found everything easy but got very confussed as to which way was the right and wrong way but i think that this is my problem not yours as i am still learning i might rewatch the tutorial again with out crocheting along to see if i can see where i went wrong. thank you for you time and doing this video xxx
Thank you so very much for sharing your creative mind and hands as well as including us left handers!!! Kudos to you!! You are wonderful in professionalism, explanations, and it's appreciated!!!
I t was a dream for me to crochet a cardigan as I am very beginner but with this video and your amazing description I will do this for my grandson honestly you are amazing thank you so much 😊
Hi sorry to bother do you know what hook would be the best for the newborn one because I don’t have a 3.00 mm I only have the boye 3.125,3.50,3.75 and I don’t know which one is best they confuse me?
@@mitchelleestrada3625 Hi there! I would use the one that's the closest to 3 mm. I think the 3.125 would work fine, but it really depends on the type of yarn you're using as well. Maybe someone with more experience than myself can provide a more knowledgeable opinion. Good luck and remember to have fun! 😊
Tks for detailed and easy to follow instructions. I also did the extented single crochet pants. In order to make a set, I did the bottom part of the sweater in the esc stitch as well. Came out great.
Wow I watched from start to finish. Your instructions were clear and you made it easy to follow. Thank you I can’t wait to make one. Diane from Australia
Thank you for sharing. You’re work is always beautiful and your tutorials are so easy to follow. I love how you take the time to explain each step. Thank you so much XOXOX
This is spooky. I’m in the U.K, and looking for a crochet cardigan for a baby boy. I have my yarn and my hook, I just need a pattern. So I clicked on your video, and you have the exact yarn that I have next to me. James C Brett Super Soft baby double knit, in pale blue and white. This is clearly fated to be the cardigan I shall make!
Your way of teaching is very clear, your patterns are beautiful and reasonably simple to follow. I could have used a bit more clarification and up close pictures of when you are explaining the first couple of rows of the sleeves and the decrease stitches as well as the button holes. I really like the way you show pictures of the items in the beginning of the video. So often I will see a video (by other teachers) with a very small picture on the front, but when I go to take a closer look, there is no picture of the item. I really like the way you show details of the item. I hope I can find the boys hat video. This is my first baby sweater and it turned out very nice. Thank you.
Thanks. Please note that for rows 4-14 you will have 76 dc and not 88 as I mentioned in video. I’ve just been made aware of this mistake 😬. Thanks for watching 😊
Hi! I love your patterns and your easy to follow RUclips videos! I have been making baby jackets like crazy for my baby to be and asked before on another video you had if you had written patterns and on that jacket you said you didn’t have a written pattern I could buy. I was wondering if you had a written pattern that I could purchase on this baby jacket. I start and stop the videos a lot because even though I have been crocheting for over ten years now your baby jackets are the first baby clothing items I have ever been able to follow along and make. Thanks so much for making your videos beginner friendly😊 If you don’t have written patterns will you have written patterns coming out to purchase soon? Thanks for all your amazing videos and hard work😊
Hi Crochet for Baby! This is really a great tutorial! I've done the pants already. Could you send the actual measurements for the sleeve openings as well as the measurements of the body beneath the yoke. Thank you. I appreciate you for the amount of time and effort it takes to do this.
I love this video! You go step by step and explain it so well. Ive made 2 of these sweaters so far. I'd like to make more and it would be so much easier to also have a written pattern.. That way I could work on it wherever or whenever I want to and not be limited to only when I have access to a computer or TV. Do you have written instructions? If not, would you be wiling to make them?
You don’t say what to do at the end of row 2 on the Fp/Bp row of the bottom when you get to the end of the row. Do you totally skip the chain 2 and don’t put anything in it and just chain 2, turn and go straight back into doing the Fp/Bp?

I bought your pattern on your site, it has been helpful having that and your you tube video to follow, except that when you attach the first sleeve, and start the decrease, on your pattern you do not mention skipping 2 chains and on the video you skip chains and then start the first decrease. Which one is correct? Thanks for your help! I am almost done😅
This little jacket turned out beautifully, thank you!!! Where is the video for the matching hat you mention in the video (jacket, pants and hat). Love your channel :)
@@CrochetForBaby I have made this Cardigan for a new born baby.😊😀💞 It is very very very beautiful 😊. I hope to make that pants also. I wanna say that your fingers are very beautiful ma'am 😬 i love them 😬😁😅💕

The corrections are above when you make those rows.
Will it matter if I have 115 DC at the end of my Yoke?

Difficult ti visualize the decrease stitches on sleeves.. need to go slower. All the corners need to go slower🙂
Can you show how you hold your yarn. I tend to make the stitches to tight.
