      I'm glad to hear that you find the cardigan beautiful and that you're excited to give it a try! 🥰 If you're looking to adjust the pattern for an adult size, you'll need to make a few modifications, but I am sure it can be done. Best of luck with your project😊

    Hey, absolutely love your work! I want to make an adult size. How can I adjust the sizing for that?

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet
      @AdoreCreaCrochet  3 месяца назад +1

      Thank you so much for your kind words! 🥰 Adjusting a pattern for an adult-size cardigan involves a few steps:
      Measurements: Take measurements of the person who will be wearing the cardigan, including chest circumference, arm length, and desired length of the cardigan.
      Gauge: Crochet a gauge swatch using your chosen yarn and hook size to determine how many stitches and rows you have per inch. This will help you calculate how many stitches and rows you'll need for the adult-size cardigan.
      Pattern Adjustments: Once you have your measurements and gauge, you'll need to adjust the pattern accordingly. This may involve increasing the number of stitches and rows in each section (back, fronts, sleeves) to accommodate the larger size. You may also need to adjust shaping, such as armhole depth and neckline shaping.
      Try as You Go: As you work on the cardigan, periodically try it on or use a dress form to ensure it's fitting as desired. You can make adjustments as needed along the way.
      Finishing: Once you've completed the cardigan, block it to shape and size if necessary, and add any desired finishing touches like buttons or edging.
      Remember, adjusting patterns for size can be a bit of trial and error, so don't be afraid to experiment and make adjustments as needed. If you need further assistance or have specific questions as you work on your cardigan, feel free to reach out!

    Do you have a pattern that follows this same method but adjusted for adult sizing? Really wanting to make this but in chunky yarn and adult size

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet
      @AdoreCreaCrochet  14 дней назад

      I’m glad you’re interested in adjusting the pattern! 😊 I don’t have an exact pattern for adult sizing in chunky yarn at the moment, but you can definitely modify the existing pattern. Simply increase the number of stitches and rows to match the size you need for an adult, and use a chunky yarn to adjust the texture and fit.
      Best of luck with your project. Happy crafting! 🌟

      I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the stitch count by row 5. It can be really frustrating when a pattern doesn't seem to work out. Let's figure this out together! Could you please double-check the previous rows to ensure all stitches are correct? Sometimes a small mistake early on can affect later rows. If the problem persists, feel free to share more details or a picture, and I'll do my best to help you troubleshoot. You can also check the freewritten pattern on my blog adorecrea.com. I'm a newbie, i just wonder how if i made this cardigan with milkcotton yarn, is it good? Please give me your opinion, thanks😊

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet
      @AdoreCreaCrochet  2 месяца назад +1

      Using milk cotton yarn for this cardigan can be a great choice! Milk cotton yarn is known for its softness, durability, and hypoallergenic properties, making it a comfortable option for clothing items like cardigans. It also tends to have a nice drape, which can work well for garments.
      However, there are a few factors to consider:
      Weight and Thickness: Check the recommended yarn weight and gauge to ensure your cardigan turns out the right size and shape.
      Care Instructions: Milk cotton yarn may have specific care instructions, so be sure to check the label for washing and drying recommendations. Some milk cotton yarns may require gentle handwashing or air-drying to maintain their softness and shape.
      If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask. Happy crafting! 🌟🧶

    Could this be made a bit smaller ?

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet
      @AdoreCreaCrochet  28 дней назад

      Absolutely! To make the crochet cardigan smaller, you can adjust the pattern by:
      Using a Lighter Yarn: Choose a lighter weight yarn or a smaller hook size to reduce the overall size.
      Modifying the Pattern: Make fewer repeats of the pattern sections or adjust the number of stitches in each row.
      Adjusting Measurements: Take your measurements and compare them with the pattern. You can make modifications to the number of rows or the length of sleeves and body to fit your size.
