Tradie turned mental health clinician - I can't state enough the incredible impact these two blokes have had on breaking down the stigma around Aussie blokes mental health issues! Well done on starting and continuing two highly important ventures!
I came across the Trade Mutt story when Dan & Ross presented at a business breakfast last year - ever since I've been a big fan, avid follower and promoter. It's because their purpose is clear and their approach is simple to solving a very complex problem. Awesome talk Dan!!! I think you guys rock!!
I wear my shirts with pride and the number of conversations those shirts have started in incredible. Well done Dan and Ed. I see the shirts in many places now, which is a great legacy for Dan and so many others who've lost the battle with Mental Health. Great job on your Ted Talk too - public speaking is not an easy gig.
The work that trademutt does is so Important. These boys deserve a gold medal for what they have achieved to date, and what they will no doubt achieve in the future. Get behind them, and help save lives. Yes, it's that important
Took me a while but I finally messaged tiacs and have booked my first session next week with a counsellor. Glad I did and I encourage anyone who decides to contact these guys because they do an awesome job. Well done @trademutt
With two Tradies in the family, I feel excited and proud to wear your shirts out and about . Its a real and relevant contribution to the mental health space - one thats making a difference. Change is afoot and you two blokes are on the front foot changing up accessibiity - thanks for the comittment to doing the hard stuff, theres over 2000 people thanking you for it. and I love seeing other TradeMutt shirts far and wide:
It takes real initiative and compassion for change to do what these boys have done. Can't wait to see the many more awesome designs that trademutt offers and I absolutely love my shirts. What a cause!
Well done Dan, That was an incredible speech it actually made me cry a little bit too. Between June 2017 and October 2021, I felt alone/invisible due to my disability (blindness) it was like I was a burden on the community. But I want to. Thank you both now because since I’ve been wearing your shirts i’ve had. Tradis beep their horn when passing by and even random people in shopping centres come up to me and say love the shirt mate! And I see the new warehouse is South of the big brown snake a lot closer to where I live. I will have to come in and say hi one-day.
So powerful when men speak out about this. Men take their lives at an alarming rate. As a Social worker/counsellor it's incredibly encouraging to see this initiative. YNWA.
Incredibly proud to support TIACS as a Legend Alliance Partner as we know how important their work is to our tradie landscapers, many of whom now wear our own custom designed funky shirt! Love ya guts, Dan and Ed. Keep up the good work!
MESMERISING! This talk beautifully spotlights such an underrated topic of mental health! When a great story and outstanding delivery meet, a masterpiece like this TEDx Talk is produced!
Someone putting their hand up to ask for help shows a level of vulnerability that is so bloody hard. It takes a lot of strength to ask for help. With a husband who has Bipolar I thank you guys for doing what you do and bringing mental health discussions out into the light 💜
and thats the key - initiatives like Trade Mutt are making it a safer space to be vulnerable enough to put your hand up - plus actionable help with the helppline
I am a big supporter of trademutt. I'm proud to wear my shirts and I will always be proud to support trademutt. The work you guys do is invaluable and whenever i can, I will buy a trade mutt shirt.
Oh my gosh,This ended up in my feed as an ad. We just lost 1 of my best girl Brother yesterday! He has struggled for years❣️ Though it finally became too much 😢💔 I feel very passionate about this! God Bless you Guys ! 🙏🏻🙌🏻🌟😇🤍 ✨ And God Bless Dan. ❤️🩹♾️☮️😇
YNWA ❤ sharing your message from our workplace in our small way to people in the Snowy Mountains with a different work shirt every day. Keep the conversation going. Thank you for all you do. 😊
I bloody love my Trade Mutt shirts, they're fabulous quality and I love that the proceeds from their sale supports such a valuable service. I'm a teacher in a rural school and wear Trade Mutt shirts to work most days. They keep me safe from the sun and the students think they're awesome too!
Astonishing effort. I wear my shirts with pride and explain to those who comment just exactly what it's all about. I'm a high school teacher and students and teachers alike comment on the shirts I wear. This year, I have changed my shirts to yours! There are many conversations to be had here! Well done!
The amount of conversations my shirts have started is amazing. Proud owner of 8 (i think), but for some reason since my dest job started my first four dont fit anymore 😅
This little non tradie loves her trade mutt backpack with built in seat for festivals. I'm so proud to have such a great product that also helps make a difference.
let me get this straight. this guy is working in construction, has a mate without a job, looking for construction work and seeking instruction and this guy doesn't help him by getting his matw to work for him but instead fields calls from said mate about how his mate finally found a job that will train him with friends like this guy mo wonder the guy offed himself. most of the time people need genuine help not well wishes and bs talking

Public speaking is tough, but it's that much easier when you know you have such an incredible and engaged community behind you

So true. Well said
If you’re concerned about mental health, maybe don’t become a tradie?? But then again, they’re not the sharpest tools in the shed aren’t they?
Took me a while but I finally messaged tiacs and have booked my first session next week with a counsellor. Glad I did and I encourage anyone who decides to contact these guys because they do an awesome job. Well done @trademutt
A fantastic first step.

Nup, you haven't got it straight. Try watching, listening & understanding. Also try improving your spelling and punctuation.
