Hi i have the following question. Is the HackRF One usable with GNU Radio under Windwos 10 or Windows 7 ? If yes, could you recommend me a website or tutorial where the Installation of HackRF One under Windows is explained and get it Running in GNU-Radio ? Thx
Hello dear sir. Before everything, i need to thank you for your nice video. I have a question about the PCB. I want to setup the pcb over a specific frequency using its software and then disconnect it from computer. Then, i use its output port to my other pcb. In fact, i want to use it as a receiver RF that is tuned on special frequency. Do you think it's possible to do that?
Would you recommend the clone for someone on a budget? Do you think you will do a followup video of how its working. Worried based off comments that its good for a short time then starts to bug out.
I picked the clone as I'm on a budget. No issues yet but I have not used it much and probably wont for some weeks at best. Too many other projects now that the pandemic is here.
@@MkmeOrg How's the budget option holding up. I didn't realize there was a cheaper version, so I just got the original. I purchased it through Amazon though, so I can return it. Where did you get this one, and who makes it? Does it have any downsides compared to the original? I might return mine and get this one if it's all about the same.
Yep saw them. I think the GNU support and user base is probably a bit better for the HackRF. Seems like the SDRPlay RSP is maybe more for audio people versus digital recording/decoding/manipulation?
20 hours on mine. Nothing. Power light on. Unit does nothing. What kind of a machine should do you would be like an SDR to outright buy. I'm retired. Looking for radio hoppy maybe.
I just got one, use the same program, have the drivers installed, im sending some signals, but when I play them I only hear static, what am I doing wrong?
Hi one and all. I am just looking for a bit of HELP ! I am thinking of buying a HackRF One. But I just need some helpful information. I have seen a thing by the name of the Portapack H2 But is that the same thing as a HackRF One, or is it something that you ADD to the HackRFOne. As I am new to SSR radio, and would like to have something that I can use when I am out and about. As I do NOT drive, I would NOT have any power supply and also it is not that easy to carry about a laptop or even a small tablet. So it is NOT technical information that I am looking for, more like practical information. Bye from John.
@@MkmeOrg thanks for letting me know. For now I will have to hang back on getting both of them. It is NOT a money thing, it is the fact that I have cataracts on both eyes, so I am finding it VERY hard to see anything. But as SOON as I get my bilateral cataract removal, I will be able to read all my ham radio magazines that I have NOT been able to read for the last 6 months. So to TRY and use a radio combination, it would be a waste of time as yet. But many thanks.
@@MkmeOrg Well I was told in December that I was down to have the operation SOME time in January to February. But at the end of January I was told that I would be getting my eye operation in April. But just the mid part of this week, I contacted the hospital. But I was then told that “NO WAY” that I would be getting my operation in April. I have been told that to expect it to be about 3 months time. But the STUPID thing is that they is ONLY 6 others getting the same operation before me. For Gods sake, even it they just done 1 operation a day. Then that would be just over a week for my operation. But as with EVERYTHING now, they blame on it all on Covid 🤬 But it is what it is, and I just have to sit back until the day that I go in for my operation. But thanks for your nice words.
Hi, how's your purchase, I'm thinking of buying identical set, how's mini whip performing? Did you compare it with any other antennas, where do you have it, indoors, window, roof?
@@mistahke works great! The antenna is in the attic, it could be way better on the roof but it's working fine. I can hear radio amateurs from all Europe, Chinese/Indian shortwave radios etc!
@@TheHermitHacker you make absolute no sense. They aren't fake, but good clones and even though you purchased the original one you still feel the need to come here and qualify. I bet you bought it on Alibaba too 🤣
HackRF one antenna is not protected you live near a airport or just a strong signal will kill the preamp. Terribly designed not worth even a $100 let alone $300

All I needed, thank you. Was having issues - I missed where the oscillator is supposed to go

What's your antenna setup look like?
As nearly as i can tell you never mentioned the bandwidth you were displaying.
What was it ?
@3:23 “Holy smokes” is the forbidden term; please utilize “Great Scott“ in honor of the developer. Thank you 🙏 lol.
Show all of the connections to the power, USB, etc.
It's a USB cable. Not much to see. It plugs and unplugs- Both ends are shown in the first 10 seconds.
What antenna you connected?

I'm assuming the external oscillator was at the end of the strip
Huh?
have you seen or used the sdrplay? I think around 200$ or less.

Which is good clone or orginal ..
what can we actually do with this
You get to listen to all the unintelligible radio static you can stand.
I just ordered mine from bangood it has acrylic case
Get ready for your preamps to go to hell after a few times of use.
is there a way that i can extract a specific frequency band data i want into excel file or any other data format ?
In Linux you can just pipe the data directly to file
I just got one, use the same program, have the drivers installed, im sending some signals, but when I play them I only hear static, what am I doing wrong?
May i know where to download the program?
anyone else wish he showed all the screws going in

The Portapack is an addon for the HackRF. They are 2 pieces of hardware you combine.

Good, tapi harganya bikin sedih ternyata 😂
Just bought one on Aliexpress with an active mini whip antenna 10Khz 30kMhz. Can't wait! :)
