I have 2 kids with dyslexia. They didn't start reading until 4th grade so we did lots and lots of reading when they were younger. It is because of them that I want to write children's books. I am also an artist and creating the artwork behind the story is exciting. I keep pushing my dreams away because I don't know how to make it a reality. Thanks so much for the video and confidence boost to do this. For them. For me. Someday people will find my stories and artwork hidden between the covers of a book.

Wow! That is so encouraging. I've wanted to be a writer all my life. I've submitted a few things but had them rejected and somewhere in my 50's I gave up. At 62 I'm driving my grandson to primary school daily and I'm feeling all the old yearnings. I love the energy you bring to this. You're very kind to put this out there. Thanks. I'm motivated now.

You can do this. I'm 65 and my genres of interest are mysteries and a few children's books have taken up space in my head for many years.
Well I'm 51 and you help me to feel better I really wish I pursued this because it also has been a passion of mine a lost one, that I really wish I pursued, and there is still hope. This is nice these people that give us tips and encouraging and when I get the guts up to possibly pursue it it's about going about it on who to trust to spend money and those steps and how to go about it and with who Lord willing if meant to be.love encouragers. Don't you wish we had this easy access to knowledge, they have now?? All we have to do is go on RUclips or online now, years ago we'd have to go to college to learn this stuff. thank you for sharing
I have a bookstore and support local authors. I don't know what more I can do to impress upon them the significance of promoting their books.

This was a lovely peptalk. Thank you. I have been self-publishing kids books for 3 years now, but it's been kinda stop/start and. alot of trial and error. I am ona. rcent mission to take it more seriously and really double down again. So this was very motivational. Thanks! I need to work on the marketing stuff. I have an instagram channel for my book brand, but that's about it. I have tried Amazon PPC, and paid Meta ads for my non-Amazon e-commerce site where I sell copies I print myself. It's really ineffective and I feel kinda stuck with it. But all in all, I'm very optimistic and determined to keep trucking

After my first published book rotting in the basement of Amazon I realize that I need to advertise first. I'm starting a children's book series and book #1 is done but getting re-formatted and illustrated. The book idea is better than the author. To write my age is sometimes; difficult. To write as a ten-year-old is way more difficult. It's getting done I hope, next week. But how can we market this on a very tight budget? How to start? I've thrown money at marketing before and lost out. Any ideas?

Therefore, I have wrote two more. I have no idea about marketing or preordering. Is marketing preordering? What is preordering and why is it a thing? If you have a video on the marketing side I’d definitely watch that.
We have lots of videos about both! But marketing and a preorder are two separate things. (Though you will want to market your preorder)

How to market the book then?
Start by making a marketing plan! We have tons of RUclips videos and blog posts all about that.
Beware of scammers calling to promote your books. They say its free but they are all in the business of getting content and charging...if you look them up they have shady content and comments.
Has anyone had a decent call or marketing person call and be worth it? I haven't found anyone who calls is trustworthy yet.
