- Jeff reviews the Dusk To Dawn Sensor Minger 7w LED Light Bulb that he installed on the exterior of his house to light up his porch outside and illuminate his side door. There’s a sensor inside the lightbulb to turn it on and off automatically as it gets dark and light outside. Jeff replaced an existing florescent bulb with the Minger 7w LED auto on off light bulb and discusses the differences. Using this bulb solves the problem of no more needing to remember to turn your outdoor light switch on in the evening and off in the morning. This bulb could be installed and used to decorate or brighten a porch or garage or used in an existing standard bulb house exterior fixture. The bulb fits into any standard light socket or fixture with no wires or additional motion detection fixtures required.

Can I swap my regular light bulbs with these motion sensor light bulbs and do I need to do anything else besides unscrewing the old ones and screwing the new motion ones? I have 3 regular lights in front of garage in driveway that are control by a light switch which I forget to turn off all the time during the day.

What for? It does the job more efficiently than some fancy fixture that will have some sort of surround blocking some light
Mine says it has an LED radar sensor, it only turns on when somebody is present, for about 30 seconds, it is model number RSB-001, yours does not have this? Or am I reading what it does in correctly?
Hi kancocorp, no my bulb did not have an LED radar sensor. My light bulb turns on when the sensor detects its dark enough outside and then turns the bulb back off when it detects its light outside once again.
My question is how many watts are you burning during daylight hours (while the light switch is on and the bulb is illuminating)
Hi David, since the bulb turns off automatically by the sensor inside of it, it's not illuminated during the day only once it gets dark. that's what I really liked about this bulb, is I don't have to think about turning it on and off, it does it automatically.
@@TinkerForward Let me rephrase my question. How many watts are burning while the light switch is on and the bulb is not lit? I purchased two of these bulbs about a month ago and they are convenient.

At dusk when the sensor detects darkness ,it turns the bulb on. How come the sensor doesnt detect the light from the bulb and then shut itself off ??
It knows the diff between sunlight and a lightbulb.
CFLs can reach 180F - not a safe temperatue to touch
Bulb Can Automatic ON/OFF?
Yes with the built in daylight/nighttime sensor. It works great!
