Brilliant practice resource. I'll be performing my first rite next month and thanks to this view, i hope to attend my first rehearsal with a better idea of what im doing.

Wow! Your conducting is very clear and concise! This is so educational; all your cues were like putting together pieces of a puzzle.

This is very good. I am very critical about Bernstein's interpretation of the beginning of this piece. The beginning is quite good here and I really liked your interpretation. Rite of spring is my favorite music piece.

Just technical issues. Nothing interesting or surprising... Thus translation is useless.. Best! Ondrej

57:06 what happened to horns in this part? This sounds just terrible

It was just a rehearsal... Yeah, it does not sound perfect, I agree, but believe me, Czech Phil. horns are superb and the performance with Gergijev sounded great.

Because of the constant meter changes the conductor has to keep his head down on the score. I ve a few conductors actually conduct this difficult piece without a score. Namely Ozawa and Bernstein

Hi! Thank you for comment. Just would like to mention, that it was a stand-in for Gergijev, on short term notice and just for the purpose of a single rehearsal... Would you study colosal Rite of Spring under such conditions, for only 500 Eur given by orchestra as fee that way, that you would not need the score?? Would you, really?? If yes, than I only can say bravo, go ahead... I believe I can do this piece by memory too, if proper time for study was given and if I had to conduct it in concert. Please, before falsely judging anybody, always seek for relevate informations. Best wishes
