I really love the musical language Stravinsky used during this period of his life. Lively, anxious, haunting, thrilling! it is wonderful to actually SEE it being performed for the first time. Thank you Barbara Hannigan and all the musicians of this orchestra.

Barbara Hannigan is a phenomen. She can sing during conducting, she can even speak french...In this she shows how good a conductor she is...Stravinsky with Barbara is always worth a listening.
This is not a work I would ordinarily seek out to hear. I don't dislike it--I've just never had a compelling reason to listen to it. But since I admire Barbara so much and respect her musicianship, I decided to listen to it while it's available.
