Thank you for doing this one, Eric. It’s just a fun performance. I wanted to pick one where Emppu was getting a lot of camera time; his joy is just infectious.

Deep Silent Complete from the same concert, I also love the Crimson Tide/Deep Blue Sea instrumental they do while Tarja is getting changed
I concur, specially on "Crimson Tide/Deep Blue Sea". Every time I hear that gorgeous composition I can't take it out of my head for hours. Given the admiration Eric has for Emppu I think that is a must to behold. Cheers!!!

The song itself, is exactly what the title says. A lust, a desire ,to explore and discover the world, to just wander and not be stuck in one place or routine. A Wishmaster album track.

I can't stress this enough, their songs from this era are insanely good, the melodies are punch of energy right to the gut, love the fact that they had a very small lyric and let the music do its thing
Thanks for this good analysis and comments. Rare reactors do notice that brilliance of the performance and the whole issue. Typically singing and outfit are mentioned but no deeper analysis at all.

Great reaction as always! :) I love this era of Nightwish, there's so much spirit to it. And this is such a joyful performance, Tuomas smiling, Tarja's and Emppu's sweet interaction, Jukka being a powerhouse as always. I hope you'll get to react to more songs from this concert! I love how Tarja's voice sounded back then, so warm and rich and velvety

Early Nightwish, Empuu is playing his white ESP guitar, and Sammi on bass!!!!
I'm not a expert, but i think Emppu is playing Washburn CS-780 what he used a lot in early days.

One of my silent favorites among the NIGHTWISH catalogue... well not so "silent" really! This is an old-style Neo-classical shred-fest with the spotlight (overdue) on Emppu and Tuomas. And they pull it off with aplomb, like these runs were nothing! Tarja is in her element, just floating majestically over the mayhem. The "Wishmaster" album was ripe with absurdly great songs, on most other albums, "Wanderlust" would be an automatic HIT. Glad you got to it.

There is an early, grainy video of nightwish performing " sacrement of wilderness". Please rate that. I didnt discover this band until fall of '17. Saw them live in Baltimore in march of '18. Ive been a nightwish army trooper ever since....Tarja is awesome. Floor is perfect...Annette is great....rate that song...enjoy your vids!!

oh what a bad version this is, but it is an example of : Not every song Nightwish played live is better than the studio version
Please Eric, ffs, ;) , listen to the studio version of this song too ! (and tell me your thoughts about that ending in studio and liveversion... which one do you feel more/which paints better colors ?!) thanks
i am aware about that in the studiotrack the vocals are layered , what is not so easy to do live maybe :)
I defininitely missed the epicness at the end with Tarja's enchanting vocals... i dont know why she didnt do it but for me its the best part of the song, very angelical
