i was anette's hater for couple of years, until i fcking opened my eyes, give some credit to woman, she was giving what she could, she didn't kick Tarja out, so why blame her, she is not metal or opera singer. in this particular concert she was with flu. first you try to perform with huge temperature and sing, and then you can judje or hate her
yeah, same happened to me until last year when i decided to give her a chance and realized that she is actually very good in her own style. this is my favorite song from her era
Video is high quality, but sound is muffled and very low. Still love the performance. The Joensuu gig has good audio of this song (but very bad video).
I and my brother were discussing how the band screwed Anette over. Firstly they didn’t write to suit her capabilities (this performance proves this point) and then they went ahead with substitute singers on the imaginareum tour without her consent or perhaps her knowledge.
The thing with DPP is that Tuomas wrote the music while they were still searching for a new singer and he didn't know what type of vocals he wanted. The only thing he had in mind was to look for someone whose singing style was completely different from Tarja so that people wouldn't compare them (didn't turn out that well). That's why in the deluxe edition they included the demo versions with Marco singing. When they found Anette, the songs were already written and she had to adapt her singing style. And regarding the substitute singer, yeah, Anette knew that the band was going to put Floor as a temporal singer, but she didn't want to because she thought that the fans would prefer Floor as she was a metal singer and that the band would kick her out when they saw the fans reaction. They didn't really give her a choice and she ended up accepting the replacement. When they kicked her, Anette told the band that they couldn't use her image in the documentary "Please learn the setlist in 48 hours" and in interviews she has said that the band did the same thing to her that they did to Tarja, but in a less public way. However, Anette and the band seem to be on good terms nowadays because she has posted on her instagram some photos with members of the band and also some videos in her house where it can be seen that she has many photos and posters with them as well.
I believe it has been said that she was sick in this concert. I feel compelled to point out that both Floor and Tarja have also been sick in concerts and the results are different, but it all goes to the techniques and style, plus their knowledge of their own voices and the way to fulfill overcoming the sickness. Some have achieve this with more grace than others. In this case, yes, it could have been better. But there are not many live concerts available with Annette. I think the jazz festival in Montreux is slightly better.
I do not agree, people are prejudiced against Anette, I have watched several videos and live concerts, she even makes some small mistakes, but there are few, and most of them are due to fatigue, and over the course of the tour, she was improving. It is unfair, in a concert that lasts 1: 30h / 2h, that she misses just a few excerpts and people say that she is bad live.

Wherever they say some people 😂 Annette was a gorgeous singer with very colourful voice and she was a very communicative person with the audience. I love her performances and i never boring to watching again and again. Tarja's holic fans believed that after Tarja's era no NW exist but they made wrong, Annette was so perfect in her albums very well selling of course 😉 and some fans must say something wrong about her and start the fairytale about her live performances. Jealousy ? Yes. Annette made the 2 years tour with NW no Tarja and no Floor made so long tournament. Tuomas said that he was almost dead after the tour. Don't worry about new attackers they are Floor's fan boys.. everything who sung Floor is much better than Tarja or Annette lol. Real NW fans love all the singers, maybe have their best era but certainly love NW. I have no respect for people who don't respect the history of NW and Annette is a piece of history of NW now.
