I just replaced my water pump and thermostat today. Once the thermostat opened up, my coolant overflow reservoir looks brownish pink instead of bright pink. I'm guessing head gasket now?
Can you help me i have a 2012 toyota prius i changed the motor everything is good except has code p0a40 p0a41 and the car won’t move when you put it in gear any help will be greatly appreciated
AISIN is Toyota's company just FYI for anyone who doesn't know they are under Toyota's umbrella of brands, though they get to make parts for other brands as well, this is just how it works in Japan Similar to how when you buy a GoPro or an iPhone Sony still gets paid for their IMX cameras, Toyota still makes a buck even if you're buying an AISIN transmission for a Jeep, AISIN is simply an arm of ToMoCo In fact there are a lot of companies which broke off of, or were started or controlled by, Toyota. One example is Yamaha Motors which used to be Toyota's performance/R&D tuning house back before TRD existed, it's why they collaborate so much over the years, because it's a group of Ace ExToyota engineers & tricked in Toyota talent that run Yamaha's Motor division TLDR; if you're buying an AISIN that has the same PN, it's because it's straight up a Toyota part off the bat, IE Toyota asked AISIN to engineer the part in the first place or Toyota sent their own engineers to AISIN to do it to begin with
Bonus Fact, most know Toyota/Toyoda started as a textile company, even for automobiles What people might not know however was that once upon a time Toyota was responsible for coming up with piston rings for Honda, yes seriously, Toyota like AISIN or the team at Yamaha was once just a humble parts development/supplier company itself Bonus bonus; Honda IIRC was originally a bicycle manufacturer if memory serves
So a cheaper unit would be alright if you put your own thermal paste on. What a fantastic video by the way, very thorough.
I bought one of those aisin pumps from amazon a couple days ago for my 2010 with p261b. It arrives on wednesday, wish me luck!
still working ?
@@Patrick-nc6kk you can change the rotor alone
@@barymillien4814 Issue is taht Aisin does not make the rotor. You are trusting some Chinese manufacture with your cooling system.
So buy any kind of water pump and change the cover that has thermal paste.
Thank you for the video, now I know what pump to get without a doubt!
Good advice, you only get what you pay for.
Buy quality parts and save yourself a lot of trouble and money.

Your pronouncing Aisin incorrectly!
