- living alone in seoul ep.36 - this is the last trip I had planned for the summer and it is a staycation in seoul at the Mondrian seoul itaewon hotel where they have the iconic glass wall swimming pool. I really enjoyed spending the night at a hotel, ordering food in, and just relaxing in a beautiful hotel room that had a view of the namsan tower. do be aware tho when using the pool at Mondrian, the operating times are separated in blocks and each block is considered a different entry which means you have to pay for each entry. The prices depend on whether you are a hotel guest or not, as well as whether it is during high or low season. I went during the middle of the week during high season as a hotel guest and paid around 60,000krw for 5hours access to the pool. Unfortunately though there were not enough sun beds at all so perhaps be prepared to wait a bit or for the chance of not being able to get one at all.
Also in this episode is yet another one of my favourite things to do in Korea, which is having picnics by the han river (hangang). After having lunch at my favourite dakgalbi restaurant, I went to nodeul island for the very first time and discovered it was a new and quaint park by the yeouido area in seoul. After that I went to banpo hangang where I saw a beautiful fiery sunset and enjoyed the night city view of yongsan and the namsan tower from gangnam. This vlog really captured some precious memories ~

the pool looks so pretty!!! 😍
It’s unique for sure!
So nice 👍💪
It is ~
i recognise the pool from some photoshoots but never knew of the hotel name. this makes me realise i haven't been on short vacations for quite some time 🥲 it sure seems relaxing to just hang and eat 🤩
I highly recommend going on your own little staycation! It’s such a nice treat 💕
OMG THE ICONIC POOL!!!! you looked soooo good, kinda wack about the hotel only having so few poolside beds but yay for yall having fun and enjoying the gorgeous Korean views :)
Yeah hehehe 😇 yes indeed, thank you!! 🧡
Seoul looks like it’s such a quiet and crime free place to live. It looks so peaceful. I wonder are there any African Americans there. I just love your content
Honestly I have never felt more safe walking alone at night. But of course no country is perfect and there is still crime, but maybe just a little less compared to other countries and also maybe different kinds of crime. Korea is mostly a homogenous society but there are definitely a variety of foreigners who live here too!
Thank you for watching 💙
