- Join Robert as he receives a new custom made instrument from Warwick in Germany, a place renowned for their craftsmanship and innovation. In this video, Robert showcases the stunning designs and details of these bass guitars. His new German-made custom bass is based on Robert's Warwick Trujillo Signature model. It features a custom "Arizona Sky" finish, a 5-string, 34" scale neck made of flamed maple with a matching Turquoise transparent finish in a neck-through design, the patented adjustable Warwick Just-A-Nut III brass nut, custom GraphTech Ratio machine heads, a Schaller 3D bridge, active EMG J/J Trujillo Rip Tide pickups and an active Bartolini circuit with a single volume knob. It comes with the "RT" initials inlaid in the Metallica font at the 12th fret. The body is made of maple with a 1" quilted maple top and the fingerboard is tigerstripe ebony with a 26" radius and 24 nickel silver frets. Other noteworthy features include an electronics compartment cover with a finish that matches the body and the Warwick security lock system. Hi, please note this is a custom version of the signature bass model for Robert Trujillo. He specifically asked for only one volume knob on this bass. The normal Signature Trujillo basses feature all the controls in the front.

Been wanting one, and every time I get a chance to play one, they are lovely. I play more guitar now, but started on bass, and always looking for that bass. I’ll pay more for a bass than a guitar, sounds dumb probably.. but im more bedroom recording, to record with a good bass makes sooo much difference . A good bass will go a long way in the studio, guitars are cool, but for me I rather spend like 2 gs on a bass then guitars 😂 guitars are cool and fun, but you can go cheaper in my opinion. But the times Ive record stuff, need better bass guitar, and not for feeling but sounds.

I mean I'm sure when they originally came up with the specs for the RT bass he was involved in the design and spec....but kinda get the impression he doesn't really pay that much attention to them now.
Robert is an awesome bass player, I think he can afford to buy his own basses, it would be nice to see Warwick donating basses to schools where people or children cannot afford basses. Cheers!
