- A rail challenge brought me here, but I stuck around for a wander. In the morning I went up the mountain (previous video) and now I go for a walk along the Promenade to a spectacular castle on the lakeside. This town blew my mind, I hope you enjoy it too...

I don’t pretend to be a travel expert, but I love what I do and would be honoured if you came along with me. My channel focusses on the wide-eyed wonder and excitement of finding somewhere new, and my genuine reaction to it. You may not get a history lesson in my videos, but who knows, you might pick up some useful travel tips along the way, add a few destinations to your bucket list and hopefully be entertained by what you see. Thanks for watching, it means a lot to me :)
I do ALL of this myself. Planning, filming, editing, promoting, all with a weekly upload schedule, so please understand not every video will be an epic adventure. But my pledge is to always do my best in any situation and KEEP THE CAMERA ROLLING :)

FAQs:
WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
I was born in Glasgow but have lived in Carnoustie, Dalgety Bay, Stonehaven, Edinburgh, Montrose, and further afield (Salamanca, Spain & Devonport, New Zealand)
WHEN DO YOU UPLOAD?
Saturdays at 10am Scottish time. Occasionally a bonus midweek video will pop up (in which case, likely to be Tuesday at 5pm)
WHY IS THERE A DELAY BETWEEN TRIP AND VIDEO APPEARING?
This is both my business model and a result of doing everything myself. Editing takes time and I also like to schedule videos a bit in advance in case of any problems/illness/cancellations etc. Keeping my uploads appearing every Saturday is important to me, so I don’t want anything to get in the way of it. Also, I occasionally need some time off to recover from trips! But more than anything else, it's about budgets. I generally need to film a number of videos on each trip to break even. And each one of these take a while to fall into place on a Saturday morning.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
I film with a GoPro11 and my iPhone12. I edit on iMovie and use epidemicsound.com for music. I also use canva.com for thumbnails etc. I also have a DJI Pocket 3 (bigger sensor) for nighttime, although I’m still getting to grips with it.
WHY DON'T YOU SPEND LONGER AT DESTINATIONS?
The usual suspects I'm afraid - time and money! Hotels especially these days make my eyes water like a true Scotsman. Also my weekly upload schedule means I need to keep on the move.
WHERE'S ALICJA?
Alicja will feature whenever possible, but she has her own life and a proper job so it can take a while for our schedules to match up. Trust me though, I prefer it when She is there too!
DO YOU PAY FOR YOUR OWN TRAVEL?
Yes I do. I've only ever accepted a complementary ticket as compensation for a previous problem. All my opinions are frank and honest reflections of travel as I experience it.
WHY THE ADS?
It's my income, I can't do this for free. Notice I don’t have mid-roll ads though!
CAN I CONTACT YOU?
I used to list my email address but felt bad not having the capacity to respond to everything so took it down (and I got a LOT of spam so missed many genuine messages along the way).
HOW CAN I SUPPORT THE CHANNEL?
Watching my videos is of course support enough, but if you'd like to support further, I'll pop links in here for Paypal and Patreon. All kind donations are super-appreciated and will go 100% towards future filming trips.
DO YOU ACCEPT SPONSORSHIPS?
I don't like to upset the flow of my videos, so I don't even include mid-roll ads anymore (at significant loss of income to myself), so I prefer not to include sponsorships either. I'm open to a small slide at the start/end of each video, but I don't want to get into talking about products, it's something I don't like as a viewer myself (especially as a viewer who pays for RUclips Premium). So it's probably a polite no, although all of this goes out the window if you offer me something which can give me the chance to make a video for my audience that would otherwise be impossible.
#SteveMarsh #Montreux #Switzerland
As much as I love Freddie (I was lucky enough to see him once) there's only one band you can think of when Montreux is mentioned is... Deep Purple!
Taste recorded a live album in Montreux in 1971. Way before Deep Purple.
My late wife and I met in Montreux, at the age of 15, 73 years ago. I have returned to Montreux on many occasions and have absorbed some of its soul. In the limited time you had available I feel you captured some of its spirit.. The wealth is adjacent to the lake. Elsewhere, there is the old town of Montreux and adjacent smaller towns/villages where the standard of living is comfortable but ordinary. Montreux has managed to avoid mass tourism. Switzerland has always seemed expensive to UK visitors, but it is partly our fault in deciding to become a poor country. Not all that long ago there were 5 swiss franks to the pound, more recently 2 franks and now almost parity
Will always be a very special place for you mate :)
Beautiful story mate. Glad that you have many happy memories.
I’ve been to Switzerland a few times whilst staying in Austria, A tip I have found useful is “follow the Hi-Viz”, The Hi-viz jackets is usually worn by local workmen and they know all the cheap places to eat.
Exactly. I followed some guys into a "restaurant" in Hong Kong and found that $7 Hong Kong bought me a vegerarian takeaway selection that would take all day to eat. The woman at the till was not happy that I hadn't collected my full serve and took me back to get more.
Absolutely, that's what saved me in Oslo. When it comes to food, always follow the locals
Just like a Lord Byron quote, "To have joy, you must share it". Thanks for sharing.
Its funny that you should mention him as his poem 'The Prisoner of Chillon' was written about someone who was imprisoned there!
Happiness is meaningless unless shared
When in Switzerland last year I found the best option if you were staying in the same place for a time was to rent a holiday apartment in a small town outside the big city. Around £75 per night and it meant you could cook for yourself and not have to pay high prices to eat out. One good piece of advice I saw was don't buy the big brand chocolates, go for the supermarket brands, they cost much less and are just as good quality. Also if you are going to be using trains a lot then get a railpass, they cover the mainlines as well as cablecars, mountain railways and often lake cruises.
Even with the presence of the great Freddie Mercury, I couldn't get 'Smoke on the Water' out of my head! Cheers from Maine, U.S.A.
I believe DP are playing there on the forthcoming tour.
@@damianb2374 Wouldn't that be epic!
I didn't know Freddie Mercury had such strong links to Montreaux. I love his themed hotel with his signature on the bed and towels👍🙂
Another great excursion in a wonderfully beautiful country. I would give a lot to go there.
That 5th floor hotel patio was great! You should have bought that pot noodle at the grocery store to go with your drink and chocolate and had your meal up there…watching the lake and the trains and imagining yourself relaxing in your very own Montreux vacation home! Cheers, and ATB!
I went on a school skiing trip from Banff Academy in 1965 to a resort in the mountains above Montreux and paid a visit to the Chateau De Chillon. It all started with a bus journey to Aberdeen then rail and Cross-Channel ferry to Villars (just down the line from Montreux)! I bought a wooden chess set in Montreux as a momento of my trip and I still have it after all these years! Up until then, my travel horizons were trips to Banff Links or Tarlair Pool in Macduff but the school trip opened my eyes to the world! Thanks for a great nostalgic video! 😊
What a beautiful place. No wonder Freddie loved it.🏞
You captured Montreux on a perfect day with that wonderful light and the mountain scenery around the lake. There was a time in the UK when you would see people cleaning and maintaining the local environment....ok, I'm perhaps going back 50+ years ago!
Yes, perfect weather and perfect light. Looked like a painting!
Was an exchange student in Tuttlingen Germany back in 1979, and had a day trip to the Roman ruins at Kaiseraugst. Even seeing that tiny part of Switzerland some 45 years ago still makes me long to go back and see some more.
When you asked about the relevance of the Japanese painting @ 3;17 it is because Freddie was a major Japanese art & furniture collector! His London Home was packed with Japanese things hence the Japanese painting in your bedroom:)
The costs, oh my goodness. Thanks for bringing us along. It's really making me want to visit Switzerland, what a gorgeous country!
Steve, having been to Switzerland many times, do as the Swiss do and go for picnics! Denner and CoOp supermarkets often have food and booze on Action = Offert! Migros is a good supermarket for food too, but booze is not for sale! Another tip is an Apex train ticket you need to book well in advance which should allow you to travel anywhere in Switzerland for a day!
When you mentioned Montreux, Steve, it rang a bell with me, and then you showed the Chateau de Chillon, which I visited back in 1968, on a camping tour of Europe, tents and all, no hotels, brought back so many memories!
I've sent the vid to my mum who went with parents for their 25th wedding anniversary 1959, told her after the train vid. I didn't remember they actually went here I knew it was lake Geneva & did remember the castle name when you said it remembered her saying Byron stayed there. 💖
Your videos are so refreshing and never pretentious. I am now hooked on the Steve Marsh picture company. It's weird seeing palm trees with snow behind them!!!
When we go to Switzerland
we do a lot of self-catering
and have learnt to ask the hotel workers
or appartment cleaners
where they shop?
There is often a Lidl or Aldi
and we buy basics there.
That saves the pennies!
Did
you

Why do you ask?
Denner over there was dirt cheap but mainly crappy but ok for cheap bread rolls and chocolate

Thanks for the tip.
Last time I did this I was in Locarno
and it turns out that Aldi Suisse was the closest cheap shop
and armed with my shopping list in Italian
I went there and purchased the items for basic living
I did buy the pane integrale from a nearby bakery.
My 'solution' to eat cheaper was to travel across the lake to Evian or Thonon in France (I was in Lausanne). This only works if the ferry is included, of course.
My gosh, Steve... so many happy memories of Montreux. I used to walk from the Chateau to Montreux and back for exercise and be past by roller bladers by the dozen... As you witnessed the views are sublime, everything looks clean and tidy and well maintained - even the mountains! 😀😀
You are right about that steel building: at Christmas they put up tarpaulent type sheeting on the sides and have a Chistmas market in there but.... they also have numerous stalls alongside the lake selling just about everything. Wouldn't surprise me if there was a small stall with Rolls Royce sales people! Have been there at other times and heard bands - Swiss music bands playing inside - it's a great venue.
Your video captured Montreux beautifully - most enjoyable: a big thank you! Keep up the good job. 👍👍
Thank you Steve for yet another wonderful video! Two tips from a regular visitor to Switzerland. The big Coop and Migros supermarkets often have self-service restaurants charging (relatively) reasonable prices. Secondly - fares. If you are doing a lot of travelling in Switzerland always buy a Swiss Travel Pass. This gives you free travel on all public transport (bus, train, tram, BOAT etc.) except lines which simply go up mountains. Eg, on the trip up the Rochers-de-Naye the STP gives free travel up to Caux Above Caux the STP holder gets a 50% discount. I regularly visit Switzerland travelling around on an STP. I seem to recall that a trip up to Rochers-de-Naye in 2019 cost me about 27 Franks.
The significance of the artwork over the bed is probably that Freddie was heavily into Japanese paintings and drawings. Something I learnt when I went to the pre-auction exhibition of his stuff at Sotheby’s. Also discovered that he was cat mad but I guess everyone has their dark side 😃
What a beautiful place and so clean, not a scrap of litter anywhere! I’m currently working my way through your back catalogue and am hooked. Love the videos where you are under pressure to complete a challenge, I feel the pressure myself 😂 Keep up the brilliant work, it’s so enjoyable.
I remember that while I was looking up information about Switzerland in preparation for a trip, I read somewhere "After your first meal at a restaurant, make sure you are seated before looking at the bill". It was not bad advice haha
Another great video! That view from the hotel patio was spectacular!
I actually ate lunch at a reasonable restaurant close to where Steve was. I thought it was about a third more expensive than Sauchiehall Street, the views were better but the portions were absolutely massive. I actually struggled to finish, and I could eat my weight in groceries.
Love how you keep your videos real, ok the expensive hotels look good, but all you really want is a comfy CLEAN bed, because when i went places very little time was spent in the hotel i was to busy exploring the area. Hotels are for sleeping. Thanks for a bonus mid week video, even if i am now in trouble because tea is late 😂
I agree. We generally go for the cheap, clean, central and good reviews.
I should warn you against renting apartments with stunning views in mountain regions. We did, it wasn't expensive but when we saw the view the next morning we could hardly drag ourselves away. It was totally mesmerising. Almost spoiled the holiday. Explaining to people that we just looked out from the balcony for 4 days
Stunning town, great tour. You and Scott (P/T/Everything)competing over Supermarket videos now too 😁
And the Casino there has the old Queen (and Bowie) recording studio under it and you can do a tour there. It’s the one that a fire there in the 70s (before Queen owned it) inspired the song “Smoke on the water”
I wonder if Funky Claude is still there
and the artist playing whilst it went up in flames, was the great "Frank Zappa"
@@stevebrooks6144 He died in 2013

Steve, your timing is impeccable - I'm spending a week in Montreux in a months time so this has been a great introduction for me.
Looks amazing. In some shots, the mountains don't look real, as if it's a painting. Great video as always, Steve. Andy.
Great video with a down to earth Scottish take on the world ... Wonderful ..never stop - your videos are tremendous 😊😊😊
That was the most breathtaking RUclips video about Montreux I have ever watched so far... I miss you so much my dear Montreux...Thank you very much Steve, for refreshing my beautiful memories.😇
"I've no idea what's going on there, but I like it". Simply iconic 😂
What a lovely place, and seemed quite peaceful too. Fabulous view from the hotel as well. Well worth the price I think
Happy midweek Steve. Love your videos. Thank you for sharing your travels with us.
This one was a great comparison video, and the sunset ending was a stunner.
Just love it! It is on my list to visit also because I am a Freddie Mercury and Queen fan. And of course one must stay at the Freddie Mercury hotel. What a beautiful spot and great to see the attention given to the lakeside and the castle.
I saw at least two references to us Aussies with the look of the balconies & the Bundaberg ginger beer in the supermarket!
I believe you can visit the studio and Queen museum too! :)
@@steve-marsh Are you two coming to Australia, anytime soon?
That 15.60 ginger beer is only $5.60 AUD (around 2.94 GBP)
The parts along the lake are so beautiful and with great views. When visiting expensive places, I wonder how regular folks can afford to live there. Thanks for showing us this interesting and beautiful spot.
They don't live there basically commuting in
Should always keep an eye out for Migros (Switzerland answer to Tesco) and the co-op. They both do good quality cheep meals in there restaurants. Also, look out for the Swiss Railway passes there good value. They also cover buses, trams, trolleybuses and lake boats. (But not all Railway) .
You picked the right weather in Switzerland.
I agree on the point about public transport passes. Buy a Swiss Travel Pass giving free travel on all public transport except very high mountain lines. On those you usually get 50% discount.
I'd say Migros is more like Waitrose than Tesco in terms of price and quality, but definitely like Tesco in terms of its prominence.
Lakes and mountains! Absolutely stunning views over the lake and the mountains. I am seriously thinking about a visit, to walk the lakeside, to see the Freddie Mercury statue, and to make a trip up that wee cog railway you featured last time. Your hotel was perfect, right on the train platform, no worry about getting a taxi with your luggage. Migros supermarkets often have cafes, but probably you would have to eat earlier in the day. Thank you for a wonderful day out.
Montreux is a beautiful place, clean and well kept.
Another great video. Looks a beautiful setting & I’m sure it’ll be packed with tourists now, all chuntering & saying "how much" under their breath. Well done Steve.
That Callier chocolate in your room is the top shelf stuff. I’ve been on chocolate tours of Switzerland and it always comes out on top. A short trip from Montreux is the factory with a great tour and tasting room.
It's also famous for the song by Deep Purple, smoke on the water, its about the concert venue burning down.
The walk around the lake is beautiful and a nice place to relax. The castle looks amazing. The grocery prices seem to be close to where I live in Mississippi in the USA. Thank you Steve 🤗
Nice to see your subscriber count going up, well done.
Thanks Curt :)
Saw the comment to Deep Purple's smoke on the water!!...how appropriate!! Beautiful City indeed!!
Steve! 😀You visit, shoot amazing videos from so many countries ! As a pensioner myself, I do not have the opportunity to travel. But now I'm on "travel" again, and get to see so much with you and your videos😄👍! Thanks Steve! All the best! 😄👍💚Greetings from a cold -1 c south coast, Finnland.🥶😂
Yet again another fantastic video with fantastic views. Well done Steve and thank you. You are wanting me to visit this wonderful country. If I was staying at that hotel, I would grab a coffee and sit in the outdoor area admiring the views all day. Don't think I would get dressed. 😂😂 Xx
The views are incredible. Love the Freddie statue. I was lucky enough to see Queen at Wembley in 1986 (there is a DVD and I’ve tried to spot me waving) and it was incredible. And also one of his last performances.
What a performer!
I am SO jealous!!!! And to have a DVD of that very gig - precious!
Another stunning place to visit Steve - you never disappoint. Mind you, if there was a Greggs in Montreux it would be £12.50 for a steak bake.
Your stay on a station platform beats Scott's any day 😂 What a beautiful place.
I kinda liked Scott’s, Scotland is wonderful….
It’s one lovely place to visit , we went 2019 stayed at Montreux palace hotel and had a medieval night in the castle and like you did that mountain railway trip , the missus got her trip paid for so only had to pay for me 😂😂 we used to buy beer in the spar type shop as it was much much cheaper . Cracking video Steve, it’s a place for a bottomless wallet !
Hi Steve, Switzerland is really a nice place to visit. How on earth do they grow palm trees in that climate? The people there have such respect for their home, everything is so clean and free of trash laying around on the streets. Thanks for a great trip! 😁👍
Steve implied it was money that kept it clean but I think it's more the cultural attitude of mutual respect. When in Seattle I found it a dirty, grimy, competitive and colorless city. Go across the border to Victoria Canada and there are flowers everywhere. The place is clean, picturesque and people smile at you.
@@Klemheist-vf1hx You are right about Seattle. When I was a kid Seattle was simply a garden city that was very clean. Changes in government planning and thinking have changed all that over the years. They seem to have an attitude about behaving the way they want in Seattle. The state government is in a shambles just like Oregon and California. I lived in LA California for 31 years and ran, not walked out of that state when I finally retired. Far left radical thinking has cost many people their livelihoods and retirement savings as well.
Great film and really interesting. Thank you for what you do as your videos are brilliant. Really enjoy them 😊. By watching your train journeys too it is defo on my bucket list 😊your balcony view was stunning!
Smoke on the Water keeps repeating in my head.
A treat for us having an extra video. It's a beautiful place and Freddie did his last album Made in Heaven there. He was an amazing talent and again thank you so much the great talent of my favourite RUclipsr 😊
Hi Steve, great video! The picture hanging in your hotel room is of Matsumoto Castle in Japan
I don't think it will be difficult for anyone visiting there to come away without stunning photos or videos. Looks amazing 👍
Beautiful Switzerland! Lovely to see it again, only ever changed in Montreux a couple of times onto the Golden Pass to Interlaken. Not cheap I agree, but when I stayed a couple of times in 2016 and 2018 it was do-able, though I admit I stayed mostly in self catering hostels in Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald, but worth it to be in so much natural beauty, the Silberhorn shining in the moonlight, the green glacial waters of Lake Brienz, picture postcard churches in lakeside villages... l seriously hope to be able to get back sometime.
I was there yonks ago. I'm here watching your vid and said to myself Steve should go to Chillon castle. You heard my thoughts cos you did!! Pity Switzerland is so expensive.😊
As someone who cannot travel due to family circumstances your videos are a real tonic Steve. Thanks for taking us with you. What a stunning location
Awesome, another bonus video. Between here and Santander, I really want to visit.
Beautiful bird song ! very special place
I’m a young at heart body and mind 62 year old all my life wanted to travel still do, i have traveled a lot but love how you do traveling but I was unable to do the way you do traveling, but love watching your videos .
Absolutely beautiful, it’s not only breathtaking scenery it’s spotless .
Definitely in my bucket list .
Thanks Steve.
Once again your video leaves me speechless. WOW!
Great video of my favorite European town. You have interesting content and you are honest. You are a talented film-maker and editor.
I loved this video, especially the name of your hotel and the visit to Freddie's statue. I saw Queen in Berlin many moons ago.
Your videos are the best man!
OMG Steve, that railing at your hotel needs to be about 18 inches higher before I could even walk down that outdoor corridor! Sure is a beautiful and EXPENSIVE spot Steve, very unusual for you...lol
I like to walk through unknown parts of citys too. Btw McD is not realy cheaper than other Restaurants. Good deals are Migros or Coop Restaurants.
Montreux day arrives. The access from lake to mountain…unbeatable
Love your improvisational and spontaneous style, also economical! It’s much more fun and “real” that way. Thank you!
Thank-you Steve for sharing once again, my wife was a Queen fan and lucky enough she got to see him and the band on tour here in Melbourne in 1985...she loved him said he really knew how to work a crowd...thanks again mate to both of you regards Doc..PS more trains yey...i should have known
Steve, Love your videos !! Eagerly await each one. They are warm, grounded, original and genuine. Thank you for make so much effort and creating such awesome content.
Well said!!
Fantastic Steve! My Mum worked in Vevey next to Montreux for Nestle in the 60s. We had a few holidays in Territet above Montreux in the 80s and this bought back so many memories.
The view was stunning. One night i was watching a Thunderstorm in France across Lake Geneva. The Lighting was highlighting the Mountains.
I used to watch the Trains snake through the side of the castle and my fascination with the rail operations ended up with me being a Driver (started on BR and currently now with XC)
Just letting the images speak for themselves was enough Steve. The location is magical. The whole point of your journey was to see if you could travel Montrose to Montreux in less than 24 hours. Not forgetting a run on another unique cog railway. 👍
Absolutely stunning and thank you for sharing and also dating all your videos. So helpful to know what part of the year it is.
Wow Steve, what a beautiful place! I could sit by lake Geneva all day and people watch, how relaxing.
That castle was something else too.
Thanks for sharing, when's the next video coming out? Can't wait
It’s a lovely place Steve. Hubby and spent a full day there when we stayed in Geneva, the castle is just amazing inside and out it’s a shame you didn’t get the time to go in. You brought back memories for us walking alongside the lake, the Freddy Mercury statue is brilliant. Queen bought studios there and recorded a number of their albums ( think they still own the studios). Freddy bought a flat there not long before he died. Switzerland can be expensive but we have to remember the people there earn more money than we do and the tax rates are low. Safe travels x
How fortunate you are to see so many wonderful places so relatively close to home.
Very picturesque, and what a lovely weather day you had. Thanks Steve.
Actually the price for the Hotel wasn't too bad. Nice room and great views. I am not staggered anymore by Swiss prices, but like you, I wish I could afford to spend more time here. Happy travels Steve, and BTW the price for the Bundy ginger beer was outrageous🤣🤣
I’ve been to Montreux it is a lovely place. I could easily settle there or anywhere else in Switzerland if I had the money. How lucky you are Steve.
The flowers are beautiful. I could live there for a while
What a stunning place!
Wow what a beautiful place.my friend is Austrian but lives in Switzerland.. defo on our bucket list...thanks Steve for encouraging us...Love Freddie Mercury hotel...do try and go inside castle next time...🥰👍🍺
A great video. I just loved how calm it felt walking along the lake with magnificent mountains and lovely gardens. It really is a charming setting. Love your variety of vlogs, never boring! BC🇨🇦
The supermarket you went to is part of one of the cheaper chains as well, that shows you how expensive it is! Although you did happen to pick up all the big brand items 😅 Great video, thanks!
Superb Steve, quite relaxing this one ❤
Wow!!! Fab Steve. What can I say? Beautiful scenery, take more money with you the next time ❤❤❤❤
I usually visit in May. Beautiful country and if you went round other side from lake into the casino you are in Queens old recording studio. The walk along the lakeside is stunning. There are also old paddle boats that go up and down the lake. Love Montreux. Your video is great.
The views in this one were stunning Greg 😂
Amazing scenery... just amazing. Interesting to learn about the Freddie Mercury/Queen connection to Montreux. I was a relatively young rock 'n' roll fan and musician when Deep Purple released "Smoke on the Water." I will always think of Richie Blackmore and Deep Purple -- and Frank Zappa -- when I think of Montreux or Lake Geneva. I wonder if that song had anything to do with Queen's decision to go there... 🤔
Loved that Steve. Montreux has a major history with rock music in general. Deep Purple’s Smoke On The Water is about the burning down of the studio they were going to use in the town. Anyway, might see you in Montrose early next week. Hope it’s got a Gregg’s.
What a fantastic place, no graffiti or litter, well maintained, no moored boats or cretins on jet skis cluttering the lake. At least they don't charge you to sit and take in the views. Another excellent video Steve 👍
There was a quite of lot of graffiti on the buildings. See the first part of the video. I was actually surprised by that.
Concerning the price of groceries, note that in Switzerland we also have discount supermarket chains. Even where you were, at Migros, they have different product lines, including a low-priced one.
We were in Montreux in November and did the same walk as you did. They were just setting up the Christmas markets and it was stunning! The castle is well worth looking around, it is much bigger than it appears from the outside.
Oh I'd love to see it at that time of year!
Love the idea of the the hotel on the platform 👌 looks amazing. ❤
The Japanese train fans would be so happy!
Love your latest vlog , I see parts of the world I’ll never see, make me very jealous as I’m still working self employed no holidays , keep going looking forward to your next adventure Joan .
The scenery is magical, for great photography!! Switzerland has always been very expensive, when I was there back in 1995, very pricy. Fresh air and no pollution!!!!
