You’re answering questions about computers I never thought I’d understand! Excellent stuff, THANKS 🙏!
Oh, BTW, I wonder why Xfinity/Comcast doesn’t offer Mobile Hotspot capability? In our vacation home, Xfinity is the only provider in town, but they sure charge enough & go down faster, than Verizon seems to in our city home, just 110 miles away. I wonder why!

I had a question concerning the difference between a hotspot and an access point. After watching this video, I think that things are clearer: a hotspot is a place where a device called an access point delivers wireless connection to the internet to the public that is within its range. So, hotspot -> place/ access point -> device.

    Hi,
I am thinking of setting up a public hotspot connecting a maximum of 100 devices. Currently I have a Ubiquiti AC Pro Access Point which has a capacity of 200 connections. It is limited to about 50metres.
Because I do not want to limit people to the vicinity of my house, I want to add a range extender. TP Link has a 1Km range extender.
Ubiquiti has a free hotspot manager software that allows the creation and management of vouchers, I would like to use this software.
But with the addition of the range extender, will I not be limited to the number of connections the extender can host and also limited to managing the network over the extender?
From videos I watched on RUclips, it seemed that an extender cannot carry over the settings of the existing network and that one must setting the extender SSID

Great video :) I have a question. How does vpn provides security from hackers?
A VPN is external server which hides our i.p and device address from the destination website (also you mentioned provides encryption)
I think it cannot provide security if a hacker is connected to the same hotspot because a hacker is a part of LAN and can communicate with all the devices on LAN even if we are not connected to internet.
    Am I right?
