    Great video thank you. What were the technical achievements that enabled the performance boosts from DDR to DDR2, DDR2 to DDR3, and DDR3 to 4? Was it just transistor count? Also, I haven't looked through your playlists yet, but I'd like to see a video on what's happening within the module itself. How exactly are the ones and zeros stored on the chip? What is the structure of the circuits that store the bits? How does the system "know" where to store the bits moved from the hard drive to RAM and how does the processor know where to go within the RAM module to get the program it needs to run?

      wait so if a program requires 3gb ram and you have 2gb it will perform slower? wouldnt it give an error message saying not enough ram?

      Depends on the program. A lot of them will give you a message saying you don't have enough RAM. Or, if it does play, it will be slower.

      Yeah, I'm working through LabSim and had to come here to get a better understanding. They jump around too much and assume even more. Great video.

      What's latency?

    • @tier3rd375
      @tier3rd375 3 года назад +6

      LATEncy. It refers to the time it takes for a computer to respond to a certain action. It is often used to describe how long it takes a server to respond after a client sends a request.
