    short note to those who want to build:
    that poor PSU is suffocating.....its only fan is against the acrylic panel. a fix would be to buy the all side mesh version of the case or to flip the psu to face the gpu. even the AIO fans are having a hard time due to those cables, it makes airflow turbulent and thus the fans noisy. a way to fix it would be to place the exhaust fans outwards and radiator inwards. this way turbulence is at the radiator (which adds to the cooling) and fan runs a bit quieter. another tip: SFF builds run cooler in negative pressure (ie exhaust more than intake), so dont bother to buy fans for intake (there aint space to add one either tbh).

    • @MireSeVini
      @MireSeVini 3 года назад +2

      The panel is glass, not acrylic. Flipping the PSU would cause even worse temperatures and most PSUs these days have OTP or Over Temperature Protection. It's not possible to place the fans outwards and radiator inwards as the AIO's tubes would hit the GPU. The video demonstrated the ideal way to build in this with the maximum sized components allowed.

  • @derrickfraley1824
    @derrickfraley1824 3 года назад +10

    Great mesh build but You need to have your PSU facing inwards with the Temp glass version so the glass isn't blocking psu airflow, That is why the there is a big cutout on the inside panel to accommodate airflow

    • @Phanbot01
      @Phanbot01 3 года назад +1

      @@DPCPhotos I have the tempered glass side panel and temps for the cpu are kept in check with a NZXT Z53 AIO and it does a good job of keeping the 5900X's temps in check. I'm not overclocking, I just set PBO in the bios and rarely see temps over 75 degrees celsius while gaming. The refence 6900XT also stays cool and quiet even if temps creep into the high 70's, never saw it go over 80 degrees.

    Great build but should the fans not be intake to pull the cool air through the radiator? 🤔

    • @gammacyn

      The hot gpu air going through the rad is less impacting than the hot cpu air that would get pushed through the gpu for intake

    • @Subdubbin
      @Subdubbin  3 года назад +2

      I actually got better CPU temperatures by switching the fans to intake. I mounted them as exhaust for the video since they looked better that way. GPU temperatures were not impacted by having the fans as intake since the mesh panel on the GPU side allowed it to breath in fresh air.

    My key reservations come in the SFX fan facing the glass panel and possibly experiencing higher thermals as a result (it would have been great if SSUP designed such a glass panel with that particular corner being mesh) and how the block is almost at the same level as the top of the rad. I'm still new to researching AIOs, so would there be an issue of air getting stuck in the block side while installing and not being able to be flushed over to the rad and so degrading the entire AIO?

    The knife, music lead up, and unboxing were almost like getting one of my $4,500 anime figurines out of its packaging for the very first time. Yeah I unbox them, how else am I going to fit them in my LED-backlit, 512-panel display case garage? I could almost smell the Styrofoam, the sweet polyethylene as it fell away from the powder-coated aluminum chassis of the SSUPD Meshlicious, much as my sweet Rei Ayanami's outfit falls away from her perfect form as I gently and carefully undress her (while wearing surgical gloves, of course, you monster). I can't decide if she looks better in the blue or pink, but anyway, when you took your Husky screwdriver out, watching you remove the AIO plates was almost unbearable as I could only imagine what a FAT radiator it would take to fill such a gaping space the Meshlicious calls for when taken off. Subsequently, I began taking things off myself, and the slow installation of the SF PSU riser gave me what some may call something of a riser as well, with such methodical shots of screwing in the motherboard screws about making my head screw right out of its socket so fast it blew off and made a crater on Europa. Providing alternate views for the AIO install had me reacting like Vince McMahon each time I saw a new view, and oh no, OH GOD ---
    ... Now, feebly, as I shrink back within myself, so too does a tiny HDMI cable shrink through the back panel of the magnificent SSUPD Meshlicious. One last little peel and - OOOOOOHHH FFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC
