Great digging and finds. Note the bad Viagra joke - It's HARD to see/say? (At 2:20) Happy holidays, looking forward to more Nomad ventures in the new year!
Love the 1920s ship print. I’m afraid we had a lot of fun smashing those 80s vases. We threw away so many things at our flower shop that are now sought after 😑 Crazy estate sale ! Packed full. Now i need to know why the man had a Dictators album ????
Yes we all did, I remember when we sold Pilgrim Glass at the outlet center in the early 1990s, if it had a chip we dropped it into the 'smash box' and the local glassblowers would come melt it down to make new stuff
Yes! I've watched her do that. I do a cursory look but in a house with that much stuff, we'd be there for weeks if we tried. We did pretty well overall at ferreting out the good stuff though
Liked this video but was worried about rodents debris. Gloves and masks always. I also thought about chemical residue from treating bugs and rodents. Wear protective clothing as well please
george that sexy flowing hair and you holdin' a box of v in an attic lookin' like a cute commercial :) !! thank you again for giving insight on estate sales i. d'. ing and pricing ! wow had no idea how hard the work is getting it ready in such a short time. can't wait for the next video from you :)
@@TheAntiqueNomad I display them I use them for meditation. A lot of cultures actually grind them and use them in medicine and if you think about it most of our electronics are held together by different types of things that come from the Earth you can actually put them in your water as well depending on the crystal rose quartz is a really good one for that. A lot of people make crystal grids with them they are wildly popular and I sell up lot of them but one of our other fenders literally can't keep them in stock in her showcase. Most black ones will absorb EMF. They also make really great jewelry a couple of the caves in Kentucky have some fantastic displays inside. I have a room where the entire ceiling is done and vintage Indian sarees next West Hollywood Regency chandeliers and they look great in that room.
Estate sales are such fun to thrift at and I agree with what you said about them. I find many bargains and a great variety of items. Love your videos and thank you for imparting your knowledge to us!
Not to get too personal, but how do estate sales work? What do you charge, do you get a percentage of the profits, who pays for the dumpster, who gets all the non-saleable items? Just curious. Thanks and love your channel!
Hi! The percentage varies with the amount of work needed to do the task (a hoard takes more time and crew expense). We don't usually charge a minimum because we won't take a sale too small. The client pays for the dumpster, and unless we are doing the cleanout, we leave it to them who they donate leftovers.
I love my estate sales! I source from them all the time! Its the one time my husband doesn’t put up a fight. He groans when I make him take me to the thrift and antique stores. I totally dig the handheld ice crusher you found. It would be great for cocktails on the deck.
George and Xenomorph, I got called away in the middle of a discussion. So sorry. There is no estate sale market in Eastern Kentucky, but I can reach any of about 7 markets within a 4 hour drive. That's how I usually source. Makes for long, but rewarding days.
I can only imagine how awful it was before it was cleaned up having had to deal with a close family member who was a senior hoarder. That Lincoln in the garage...there is probably a state organization that loves those old boats and would love to know when one comes on the market especially in that great shape, even if it's for using in replacement parts. $4,000 wasn't a lot of money to ask either given how much that engine and transmission is worth to someone who needs one.
@@TheAntiqueNomad This mind here just boggles at the thought of what was in the "secret forbidden room." It's no wonder the two of them just walked away from that junk pile and finally hired someone to deal with it.
Looking forward to the next video🤔
Great video George! Thanks for sharing!
I love going to hoarder houses for estate sales. Digging time, love it lol. So much stuff to see and do, they are the best. Have a great day
Your so lucky😁😉
Best hairstyle! Looks great
I think so too! Need my hair to grow 1" more to be able to donate
Our attic is small and low. We have never put anything up there except insulation. Too hot in TX for most items 😊
The Lite Brite with the original box. Be still my heart. Love Love Love. And that Corona typewriter!!
I look for Lite Brite anytime I see it! I think I have it in my Florida mall
I loved my light bright that thing was played with constantly
Definitely a fun toy!

Amazing.
Some beautiful things George!
It was fun to share the finds
God Bless you George for taking good care of their stuff and getting the job done! I NEED a table with a cute seal!
Big job but I'm glad I could do it! The seal was so cool
I have a red and white Daisy Rocket ice crushed. Xmas gift from Ma.
My favorite color combo!
Paper and Moose would of loved those littles. She digs allllll the way to the bottom of boxes to find what has fallen to the bottom. Genius.
Yes! I've watched her do that. I do a cursory look but in a house with that much stuff, we'd be there for weeks if we tried. We did pretty well overall at ferreting out the good stuff though
I'd be wearing garden gloves ! Brave fellow!
George, my goodness 😳. There is a fortune of treasures.
All kinds of awesome. Including George! Stuff on stuff on stuff! Great show!
It really was! Conclusion tonight
Liked this video but was worried about rodents debris. Gloves and masks always. I also thought about chemical residue from treating bugs and rodents. Wear protective clothing as well please
All those are issues! I hate wearing them but it really is smarter
Thank you for sharing so many fun and educational videos! All the very best to you in 2021! Blessed Be.
Same to you! We'll see you again soon
Thanks George for giving us a view of the steps you go through for an estate sale!😊👍
My pleasure! I thought it would be something different

So true! Thank you for coming along
Ok, gotta ask, does your shirt say mail chimp? Thanks for another fun video!
Yes, they're my email handler so I got a free shirt which I use to climb into dirty places
That was fun to see, thanks for sharing!
It was fun to finally get to show how this works! Nice to see you in the comments

I always wanted the tortoise table they had on the Addams Family tv show. That seal is certainly different.
Me too! I wish the seal had a place with me
I have been looking all over for one of those black phones
They're becoming harder to find
Isn’t Posh Spice Victoria Beckham?
Yes that's correct!
That Christmas Album with Mitch was my favorite as a kid.
Mitch Miller had a lot of fun, you could tell!

It would be, I use mine when I'm in Florida! Estate sales are great and there's enough to keep everyone happy
I looooove that seal table haha
Me too. I'll regret not getting that someday soon
I was absolutely on the edge of my seat seeing the box openings in the attic! Another fun, informative time!
It was fun that way for me too! I really didn't know what to expect up there.
George, Do you charge a greater percentage to do an estate sale in a house this terrible vs an “average” home?
Oh yes, the commission varies in part with the amount of work needed. It has to because we have to hire so many more people to help
An awesome video and I thank you. I wish you and your crew a happy restful holiday.
They earned it!
How do u price your items for estate sales G?eorge
I'll talk about that more in tonights video I think. Generally about 1/2 retail for antiques/vintage, 1/3 retail for general stuff
Hello from Philadelphia
Hello! Good to see you in chat and comments
Oh, the ice crusher! I will have to ask my mom if she still has hers.
Hi! Good to see you in the comments. I'd be curious whether she kept it

That's the thing to do. I know Cincy is good for sourcing
I love the stuff you are finding! I wish I was closer...I'm in Wisconsin
Hopefully I'll have a reason to do an estate in that area someday!
👍🎄❤️😎

You did get that impression correctly! I was glad it sold and went to a person who can take good care of it
