      I think it fixes the value to the higher num bro..let us take I/p as 3.2V...then another clock cycle is also considered..resulting the o/p as 4

    How the number of clock pulses is 2^(n-1).....Can anyone help ??

      I think 2^(N-1) is the upper limit. So maybe 2^(N-1) clockpulses are always used to keep the oepration synchronous.. maybe.. just an opinion

    What will happen if the analog input is 3.5v? Then also the 4th clock will pass and digital output will be 0100 which is an error. So, how will it deal?

      You have to adjust the least count of the adc, in this case least count or resolution is 1V..

      If least count is 0.5V, then it will be error free ...
