7:20 this is what I love about Japan. In western countries by God I can do pretty much whatever I want and so I do it half assed my entire life. But the Japanese? You often find the type there that gets into something and dedicates his heart to it , come heat, come cold, no matter how unimportant it seems to others. I wish I could be more like that, actually.
sooooo many places to rent traditional japanese clothes in main city hubs! Buying kimonos and yukatas: try small stores at side roads, usually the best offers, or try small towns. You can also wear the yukatas they have at the hotels that you're staying.

Hello from NY. I would like to tell you that you're videos have made me extremely excited to visit Japan for the first time. You do an amazing job exposing Japanese culture to the rest of the curious world. I would love to see the country side of Japan as you continually display it's beauty and contrast from the city. I have decided to visit Japan in November for my birthday. I will be staying for four days and am so excited in planning my trip with your videos in mind. I just felt like I needed to tell you this because you have really made me even more excited to experience this country. I will try to walk around a lot and take in the city and sights. I think I will stay in shinjuku capsule hotel for my trip. but I still have to decide on how far out I will travel around before returning home. anyways, thanks a lot. take care.

7:20 this is what I love about Japan. In western countries by God I can do pretty much whatever I want and so I do it half assed my entire life. But the Japanese? You often find the type there that gets into something and dedicates his heart to it , come heat, come cold, no matter how unimportant it seems to others. I wish I could be more like that, actually.

Buying kimonos and yukatas: try small stores at side roads, usually the best offers, or try small towns.
You can also wear the yukatas they have at the hotels that you're staying.
I'm going to Japan next year, i'm not interested in the big-city stuff. Would you recommend visiting Ouchijuku as a first time visitor? I don't speak japanese at all.
