Love languages is the truth. It helps & balance things out once have a clear understanding of it during a dating stage before hitting a relationship/ committed situation. Its great to know.
Once a woman cheats on you and you let her back in, she lost all respect for you. Move on, your life became better without her for a reason. Some people just block blessings no matter how we feel about them
OG here, it might seem like the best move, but what is at the core of the cheat? There is the reason that is below the action of infidelity, whether it is "valid" or not. It is possible to overcome infidelity...it takes hard work!! Great segment!!! Thanks!!!
Great video, ya'll!! Love Languages are so important! I'll say this: showing your partner love in their love language can still be authentic, if you approach it from your heart. I'm majorly acts of service, but my partner is words of affirmation (at the bottom of my list). So even though it's not "natural" or easy for me, because I want to show love the way I like to receive it, it is still authentic of me to consciously make sure I verbally pour into him (only saying what I mean though, cause then it's inauthentic). Choosing to show your partner love in their love language, making that effort, is major key! ☺
Kim, i love this and thought the same thing. You conveyed my thoughts so much better! ( this my beauty channel btw) & i am Leslie Latrice from the video lol
Right Leslie. Love languages are a personal hierarchy, but all are necessary. If physical touch is your last love language, that’s just what it is - last in order of importance. However, if your parter NEVER touches you, that’s probably going to be a problem. So all love languages have to be incorporated. Being your “authentic self” really doesn’t have anything to do with you selflessly expressing love for someone else. Sometimes it ain’t about you. You effectively expressing love to your partner is your willingness to deliver your love to them in a manner they can receive it. Your “authentic self” loves them - it’s not about the delivery. The delivery is for them…not you. Also, people change. If you’re the same person you were in college that you are when you turn 40, something is wrong. Therefore, it is possible that someone’s love language might change. Receiving gifts might have been your top love language when you were young, but as you grow into your mature self, gifts might not be so important - those acts of service might ring louder. So, your partner would have to adapt. That’s why communication is important. Things change. Part of being in a relationship is learning how to give your partner what they need. It’s a never-ending journey. This video was dope. Now I gotta go check Leslie out 😉
bottom line: love is a skill. good lov(ing) requires us to ask questions: ••“What does love feel like to you?”•“What do you need to feel loved?”•“Do I love you well?”•• because love isn’t just a feeling; LOVE IS A SKILL. and all skills must be learned, demonstrated, and tested for efficiency. great vid guys!

Basically it's all about communication, which is the epitome of any relationship. Anything you anticipate in marriage or any relationship should be discussed from the break. Put it on the table. Most relationship fail because the communication was not there. Period.
Also, I think when we tried to simplify the amorphous dynamics of relationships and put it in the box of 5 "languages", we complicated it. The greatest "love language" should be "appreciation for consideration." If your other buys flowers and you tell them that gifts aren't your language. You depleted both "love tanks". If your other rubs your back or holds your hand, does saying "physical touch is not my language" sound constructive? Are we building at this point? How about we appreciate the thought? How about we appreciate the consideration...the regard? Our other thinks enough of us to show us love in whatever language. A wise person told me that in this life, "you either build or destroy." How about we build instead of dissect and disassemble? We tend to over-complicate what should not be calculus in the first place. It should be me plus you equals forever in love.
Most men I've talked to have had those as their primary love languages. And she's right, most people find it easier to give love the way they receive it. This video was high key fire.
Great vid! I think one key to have any successful relationship, and life in general, is managing expectations. You shouldn't expect someone to make you happy. You should bring your own happiness into the relationship. It's pretty unfair to the other person to have them shoulder the responsibility of YOUR happiness. Your happiness or attitude in general should not be dependent on another person. It should be based on how you feel about yourself. I find that life is better when you have your own sense of self-satisfaction and not always looking for validation.
She not lying because I was like “I know he absolutely did not”. I don’t know this man from a can of paint just remembered his story regarding the ex-wife… I went into big sis mode lol…but Yes ma’am you are correct we need to watch the video in its entirety before we come for the neck 😂😂😂

The point of the love languages is to learn your partner’s love language and give it to them. Marriage is about work and about dying to self. Truthfully, I can’t see myself getting married in the near future because with my mental health and all the emotional baggage I’ve been through, I rather just go through life solo

Why hold up! I had to stop the video and respond to this. Why is vulnerability a con? First of all, if the person is not vulnerable in the relationship, that's a big no, no. Listen people, if you cannot have a vulnerable conversation with your bf/gf then do not get married. Marriage is all about being vulnerable. Living with someone requires more than just talking about the day to day, it also includes talking about pain, hurt, mistakes, loss, forgiveness, disappointments, health (and all the things that comes with that) wealth (and all the things that comes with that) being broke, budgeting (and all the things that comes with that). Being vulnerable is not a con. Marriage is a very serious commitment that can be amazing if 2 persons are willing to do the day to day work and be COMMITTED with GOD in center. You will not have a successful marriage of God is not in center. Also, prenup is a no, no especially if you are a Christian. You cannot plan for for your marriage to fail and have a clause because the person will always think about that prenup when things go wrong. Create a firm foundation, rooted in God and your marriage will be successful.
My ex thought just like this .. a prenup is not planning for failure .. life happens .. people divorce .. people grow apart.. people get GREEDY .. and people have the right to protect what they worked for ..JUST IN CASE .. people seek revenge after divorce.. they want to take their partners earnings , house , car , money just to be petty.. im not being ugly but it’s judgmental for you to say Christians don’t need that ..when actually need to do what’s best for them … prenup does not =failure
@@alexandriaderamus1660 I can go through a myriad of scriptures that talks about trusting God with your whole heart. By going ahead a make a plan for your marriage to fail, don't get married. There is no uncertainty in Christ. God tells us that we should give ourselves to him wholeheartedly. That a husband is to love his wife like Christ loves the church, that kind of love only comes from Christians surrendering themselves before married. I can understand if some people don't go through or surrender in order to get married because that kind of vulnerability is hard, however, it's needed.
