Even if you get blinds people still maybe able to see your reflection at night when the blinds are closed. In some areas of the house it best to get curtains on top of the blinds for true privacy.
For real, because I have a *Serious* IDGAF belief system where I PAY RENT. So, I wear NO clothes at home, in Any room, At All. Ever.
I stay at home most days and only wear clothes maaaaybe 4 days a week. Lol Trust, I’m a TRUE Gen X crab and I like me peace. Curtains over ALL blinds. Peace, Sis.
I closed on my home on Jan 1st, 2023. Mannnn, let me tell you. I wanted a townhome sooooo bad. My realtor got on me really bad and told me to stay far away from them and HOA's. I am soooo happy I didn't buy a home with an HOA. I have close friends who are going through hell with these HOA's right now it's not even funny. I lived in an apartment on the 3rd floor for years as well so I made sure I didn't buy a 2-story home either. I'm done with the stairs. Yall can have them. Lol. I advise anyone buying a home NOT to buy a home with a HOA. You'll regret it if you do. My home came with all new appliances and blinds thanks to my realtor for making that happen. Another thing, I am happy I purchased my home in Houston Texas because Atlanta is too ridiculously overpriced for no absolute reason. Yall can keep ATL. LOL.
Facts!
HOA I agree definitely avoid if possible. Dues constantly go up over time especially if you live in a Townhome or Condo and they can put a lien on your home if you dont pay the dues.
What’s your realtors name?
@@MikaelaSimone They can sell it too!
Just a side note about HOA's, they can take your home in foreclosure when you do not pay your HOA's fines. Congrats to you, CoreyMJones3.
That’s not true. Only the lending company can take your home into foreclosure for default on the loan. HOA can put a lien on your home, which impacts the sell of the home in the future. ❤
@@dreamsremembered6592 MOST PEOPLE I HAVE SEEN ON THE NEWS IN COLORADO AND ELESWHERE HAS EXPERIENCED THIS.
Wow
I didn’t pay mine for 2 years, they threatened to put a lien on my property and take me to court to have the money come out my check
Man no one ever tells you how expensive curtains are until you are spending over $1k for curtains! I am so happy the builder included blinds in our build because I was like who was paying for blinds for 10 windows lol! Why are refrigerators are so expensive!! Now I see why our parents were being crazy about their stuff 😂 Being a homeowner is not for the weak! I bought my townhouse last year and your expensive sounds like mine. Thanks for sharing!
Esp if they are floor to ceiling.. premium tears while buying them 😫
@@EvonneLindiwe Absolute facts! I didn’t cheap them out so they def cost me big!
That’s real! It’s definitely some hidden expenses that people don’t mention
Bruhh!! Curtains and blinds are outrageous! I had to get “custom” curtains because I have 12ft ceilings in my house and lord knows I felt sick paying thousands of dollars for it. And I tinted my windows and got blinds, that alone was 5 grand before I even brought the first chair to put in my house smh.
@@daysonlee2769 Bruh! Nah that would have made me sick for real! I would have been punching the air like Trey on Boyz N The Hood 😂
I honestly hate HOA homes.
Same
This is why you're in my top 5! It's the transparency and friend vibe that makes it so easy to listen to you. I worked in real estate for 6 years, and the process was like anxiety on steroids for me..😂. Praying my client don't buy anything, my clients asking for everything, and praying they would overbid so we have a chance at getting the offer to go through. Thanks for the information it'll help all those who listen. I'm going to share with my Faithful 15 Singles Ministry. ❤
Glad to be on your top 5 ✊🏾✊🏾
Corey the GOAT! 2 months into the homeownership game and I’m taking notes for the months to come. I def. agree and can relate!
I’m 50 years old, never owned a home in my life, outside of getting lucky and buying a home outright…. It would make no sense to buy a home at my age and finance it for 30 years….WHY? I already have one foot in the grave so in 30 years I’ll be 80 with a paid off house ( if I live that long )
#RENTINGISALUXURY…….Prove Me Wrong.
Brother C Jones NEVER DISAPPOINT with the content..!! I'm terrified to buy a house at the moment.. I live in Houston, but my job is Indianapolis and Im like you without a wife and kidz... I jus pay rent for my clothes and car SMH to sit.... BIG Salute to you Brother...!!
But when we did we balled out on furniture and all new appliances. It was a beautiful process to see how we made our house into a beautiful home
Brooo where was this video when I bought my first house 😩 lol these tips were spot on! Great breakdown 💪🏽
lol 😂 thanks brotha
Great info thank you for sharing. I was curious about home insurance.
Hey Corey!! Good to see ya thanks for the home tips👍🏾
Any time!
Thanks, Corey! 🙌🏽🏆
I’m over HOA fees like how is this legal
Right smh
It's a scam.
Good information frat 🤘🏾
It seems like owning a home is a big investment. Did you feel like it was the right investment. That is probably one of the biggest investments most people will make besides college.
I feel it was a good investment because the value of my property keeps rising which leads to more equity. I think its worth it in the long run
It's crazy how I came across this video lol. I plan to buy my first house in early 2025. This video was very helpful. Thanks!!!
You’re welcome!
The housing market is about to crash it is unsustainable with to many speculators inflating the price check with your REO specialist at the banks when the foreclosure numbers 😢 start to increase .
I’m glad I bought a 4plex and not a house.
Thank you smart man let people pay you lol 😂
Check ya window!!! He's at ya window 👀🔥
We didn’t buy furniture until our kids became teenagers. We simply couldn’t afford it
All homes don't have HOA. I purposely looked for a home without one.
Look like Ace of Spades on your shelf❤
Great advice. Any regrets to home ownership?
You got a subscribe for the frank ocean reference! Lol
You gotta know good music to be a subscriber ✊🏾💯
I REMEMBER THAT SONG!!!! 🤣😆🤣
Hey 👋🏾
Okay Corey, Imperiale is a fav of mine, enjoy. My HOA…lets not get into it 😂
💛💛💛💛
That Tyler The Creator and Frank Ocean track used to have me in a chokehold in college lol 🔥
Same bro
Very informative!
Great video 🔥
Thanks bro
I bought 3 windows a year for 5 years
If I buy a house with windows and no blinds then oh well everybody is going to know my business 😅
Were you happier with the tiny house?
The tiny house was an experiment for a couple of days. Its was dope, I felt like I could do a tiny home for about a year or two but after that, I’d need a little more space
If you want the freedom to enjoy your property and do what you want then avoid purchading a home in a community that has HOA.
I had help with my spouse but its still expensive
About time you give us a full video ❤
MAB
What is an escrow? Thanks
It part of your mortgage payment that is put in holding escrow account to cover your property taxes. Depending on what type of loan you have , it may not be required to have an escrow account but you must pay property taxes if not your home go into foreclosure
@@ladylucile15 thank you so much !
❤❤❤
👍🏾
Tyler the creator - She ft frank ocean
You are a tech guy I knew you were going to get a tech refrigerator ❤
I wish we could fist fight an HOA representative for changes they say “aren’t covered” 🫤
Weather purchasing an existing home or new build always always get a home inspection. We purchase a new build and we got the home inspection, the inspection was worth every penny. This is an investment get the inspection. Also the builder will tell you to wait until 1 month prior to warranty expire to submit repairs to warranty. Don’t do it put the defects, problems in the system as you see them. Document document document , if you wait until last minute you will be going back and forth with the builder and the warranty will expire.
I remember when the hot water tank stopped working. That was expensive. The sump pump system was not f😮properly. That was a nightmare. After 20 years we had to buy a new roof. Now I know what to expect and how to keep money saved for the unexpected repairs and maintenance up keep
Damn Samsung fridges are nortorious for problems especially that ice maker. 😢
Mine hasn’t been giving me problems just yet. But we’ll see
@@CoreyMJones3 hopefully it never does 🤞🏾 Samsung gotta stick to making TVs lol
Facts
For some reason seeing you move to a different spot every couple of mins in a lot of your vids is hilarious to me🤣 It's attention grabbing. I will keep these pointers in mind when I'm shopping for my next home. What I love about escrow are the overages, even though most times we end up giving it back to cover the shortages. Temporary loans ain't bad though...
Figured I’d test switching it up, glad it kept you engaged. The escrow overages do be nice 👏🏾👏🏾
Yes, window treatments. Very expensive. However if you pay for good ones upfront, they will last longer! Faux wood is the most durable material for this project.
Former Lowes employee ❤
lol. I bought a house that was fee simple. So no HOA fees, but the taxes are out of this world
Be careful of Samsung appliances. I will leave it at that. Great info.
Some states require blinds come installed in the home
HOA’s are rip offs. They really don’t do anything really.
Exactly smh
This is great! I am in the process of getting my new home. I am trusting God through it all. Doing my part and making sure everything is straight on my end..
Ur mortgage lender should pay ur closing. Lots of ppl dont know that
I recently subscribed to you after seeing you discussing your cheating wife on another content creators platform. Bro NEVER accept less than you provide. Seem like a quality dude, beware of the 304s
✊🏾✊🏾
Good info! I bought a pre owned home so my experience was different but I wasn’t expecting it would be. Thanks for sharing! 💜💜
Something that’s important with HOA is a reserve fund. If the roof goes to shit and there is no reserve fund, good luck
Not to mention keeping the lawn nicely manicured. Or you will be fined. Removing the snow. Cutting your hedges. 😅 I love it!! I enjoyed throwing big parties in the backyard yard and hosting weddings
Where is the blog about the washer and dryer hose and scraped wall? What is it entitled? lol
Might be this one ruclips.net/video/ghqH3IjZHtc/видео.htmlsi=AwSX4DA2Nf2oXCxw
If not it’s somewhere near this time
0:30 in and ima stop you right there… we’ll all eventually go thru it…. Everything decides to break randomly 😂
😂😂 facts
Good tips 😊
Great advice.
You are so right about everything , concerning buying a house. Good information to pass on❤
Thanks ma! 🫶🏽
I pay 380 monthly but it covers pool access, water, garbage, landscaping, tree cutting, roof and insures outside. I came home recently and saw a new electric meter installed. They changed my door to hurricane impact doors. Blinds are 1 time purchase though❤❤❤
You're paying over four thousand dollars a year for services. I paid for a new roof for only six thousand. A roof lasts for a little over twenty years.
@@marquink maybe it's the pool access and landscaping that makes it worth it. I guess it depends on the landscaping that's done on her home and how much her family visits the pool
What happened to your NPHC advice RUclips videos it says they’re private now?
The algorithm kept classifying my channel as a nphc channel. It was killing my reach.
@@CoreyMJones3 first off thank you for helping me in my advisement for starting my journey and also does that mean there is no possibility of being able to watch your NPHC advice videos I would watch your NPHC Videos every day in the summer before getting this point is there any way to watch private videos on RUclips
@@more_thanLucid correct. They are private right now. But I’m experimenting with the algorithm to see what happens. I may make them public again. I’ll see how it’s going and make that decision within the next month or two
Thanks, for this video Corey, I'm buying a townhome next year, so I appreciate this info.
Glad it was helpful!
