I live in Atlanta and the gate issue IS frontiers fault. I’ve never had this issue with Delta or any other airline other than Spirit and Frontier. They schedule too many flights for the number of gates they own, and then they’re constantly being delayed.
Yes! It's quite difficult to figure that out for non-aviation enthusiasts since in Europe for example, it's very uncommon for airlines to "own" gates. Mostly only the big airlines really own their gates at their main hubs. Otherwise they're assigned by the airport in a lot of places. At least I think so.
@@SLASHERx988 Even so, Frontier holds responsibility over keeping their own gates open. If you only have a small number of available gates, don’t schedule more flights than they can accommodate. And if a flight is delayed or having an issue that’s preventing the gate from opening up, Frontier still holds responsibility *most* of the time for causing that delay in the first place.
I never thought I’d experience an airline more stingy than Spirit, until I flew Frontier, where they separate the zones BASED on whether you have carry-on, and make sure to let you know with extreme prejudice. 😅
@@tslomka6272 Nah definitely not worse, I just flew with Icelandic airlines, I don't remember them giving us food on my 4-5 hour flight, but they did give us drinks. And the seats were surely more comfortable than frontier and spirit lol
If customers are treated so badly, can you imagine being an employee? They hear nothing but complaints all day and people judge them for working for such a cheap outfit. I’ve flown both and your judgement is spot on. Spirit is better than Frontier, and I never had a late flight. I had the same experience of waiting on the runway for over an hour for another plane to leave. I think the worst thing on Frontier are the seats and ridiculous tray tables. Maybe a little kid can use it for blocks, but it’s worthless for anything else.
I'm an employee of one of these (I won't say which one) and can confirm we deal with all the backlash every single day. The job itself isn't too bad, I just wish passengers would understand that we aren't the ones making the decisions, we just have to follow the policies.
Spirit & Frontier are my go-to's for shorter flights. If the Flight is 2-4 hours then I'll go with them. When I fly 5+ hours I'll look at United, American, or Delta on comfort alone.
I've flown both Spirit and Frontier and I have to say Spirit was honestly fine, however the Frontier experience was horrible (we had to spend 7 hours at an airport instead of the 1-2 that was planned due to a flight cancellation).
This is my experience too. I fly them both regularly but I live 8 min from the airport in vegas and use them for quick flights to Cali and Portland. The price is worth it imo sometimes I spend less on flights than Uber to/from the airport lol. Spirit is WAY better imo, their staff is kinder, the planes are cleaner. Frontier has a total “you’re taking public transportation” vibe.
I agree. I love Spirit Airlines. I flew with them several times last year and actually upgraded on all of my flights (twice I paid $5 to get an exit row the others were free). The staff is always friendly, never had a serious delay (30 min one once due to severe storms but not their fault). Also, you can't beat the price.
The taped compartments in the Frontier lavatories are "security tape". This plane probably goes out of the country once in a while, the tape is applied by customs to show that it has been inspected. Not sure how long the airline has to leave it on though.
Partially correct. It's actually there to verify in addition to what you said that the compartment wasn't opened. People try to use aircraft to snuggle all kinds of things. The tape is a quick reference to see if it was opened. It's not normal tape either. If you try to scrape it off it will tear so it'll be evident it was tampered with. Long story short don't try it unless you want to see an interrogation room because you will see one of you do.
I fly spirit exclusively as a college student with only a backpack and it makes travel so much more possible than it was with other airlines. I also love long layovers in cities so I can explore more. Would recommend for sure, also most of their planes are newer, so they're very safe.
My experiences with frontier: it costs money to pick a seat, and the website makes it really hard to not pick a seat. The two times i tried to do online check-in for frontier the website was broken. I agree with the checked bag being cheaper because it speeds up planing and deplaning. You can also have two people combine their luggage into a larger checked bag and pay much less so the luggage fees are less of an issue.
Frontier left me and my kids stranded. No hotel no nothing. I had to pay for a hotel spend 2 nights waiting at a hotel and buy another ticket from another airline to make it to my destination. It costed me $2,500 in airline tickets, car rental and 2 nights at a hotel. I will never fly Frontier ever again.
@@joerepoman1I mean after that, why would he by from Frontier again? Makes no sense. I had a similar issue once with EasyJet and not for one second did I even consider buying my 2nd ticket from them again. Fuck EasyJet
Think twice before avoiding spirit and frontier because Alaska airline had a wall plug broke off on there 737 Max 9. I would avoid airline that operate the fleet of 737 Max.
Frontier cancelled our flight, had us wait for 4 hours just to get a little piece of paper to get refunded, and they didn’t provide any help for us staying extra, I thought most airlines help with some food or something? Bad experience with frontier.
I've only flown Spirit once and it was OK. I can't say the same for Frontier. I've had gate issues, been bumped from a flight and left stranded with no hotel or meal vouchers. Frontier was always late. I have decided that I am done with them.
I haven't, and probably won't, fly Spirit. but the extremely uncomfortable seat and miniscule tray table will keep me from flying Frontier ever again. By the time the extras are added they aren't much of a bargain anyway.
For quick weekend trips they're both fine for me. I don't pack heavy so a backpack works for me. If it's a domestic flight, I don't need to buy food or drinks, except maybe a water. Went from DFW to Chicago a couple weeks ago on Spirit for like $68 round trip. On time woth no issues so it just depends on your expectations.
I was a flight attendant for skywest and the tape is to prove that that vent/cabinet hasn’t been tampered with. Every airline has their own color and most of the time it should have writing on it with a serial number.
I personally love Allegiant Spirit Frontier & Breeze. I always pack a personal size free bag & add my boarding pass to my phone wallet. I just go straight to TSA super easy & cheap most times.
Surprisingly the 3rd time we flew on a budget airline was frontier, and for some reason it was AMAZING for a budget airline, the leg room was very good and the seats were mid, the the bad part is that I trays are SOOO tiny and there was a iPhone screen protector stuck to my safety manual lol
Spirit gets a bad wrap because that's the popular thing to do on the internet but I've flown Spirit countless times and never had any issues. Great for when you're just traveling light for a quick trip and don't need to check in bags.
I’ve flown round trip on Frontier from GRB direct to DEN on several occasions. When you purchase your ticket you know what their rules and fee schedule are. I’ve had nothing but good luck with them. That being said, I’ve never flown them where you have to make a connection. Safe travels everyone. ✈️🙏
Haha that’s so funny, I flew on that same frontier plane earlier this week and the APU was broken that day as well. That was my first and last frontier flight. They canceled our flight at the time of boarding and made us stand in an hour line to tell us there was nothing they can do…..never again!
When I flew Frontier it went very well no delays easy check in and a super nice crew. However I flew on one of the brand new A320’s and also booked one of the front row seats with extra leg room. Definitely not as nice as Delta but it got me where I needed to be.
Hey Eric got to say I love the videos. You go so far to create the best for us and you create such good content. Whether its your funny humor or your originality when it comes to filming content you come out at the top. I have been watching you for a while now and you have kept you amazing personality in each video. Keep going man!
The seat is fine to sit in for a couple hour flight. You dont need a large tray table since food/drink is charged, and most people won't buy it. You are flying an ULCC, you need to set your expectations to the price. You could have put your backpack in the overhead since they were mostly empty. Since the plane was fairly empty, I am guessing you bought zone 1 boarding.
Believe it or not, Frontier was once a great airline before they got bought out and forced to be a low budget airline. Now, I don't understand how they're still in business. Nobody ever has anything good to say about them.
That tray table is going to be common place in a few years. Allegiant started using them back in 2019 and I had the same experience with the seats. I swear they remove a 1/5 of an inch of leg room every few years.
Frontier and Spirit never had a fatal accident in a combined 99 years in existance... Who gives a sh#$ about leg room, there's a budget and process to maintain the aircraft.
Delta is automatically better. ( opinion ) I’ve never flown united but I know they don’t do carry ons and delta does. Also I’ve flown delta many times and it was the best airline I have ever flown
The "no printable boarding pass" issue at the airport is coming to all airlines, not just the ULCC & LCC carriers. Alaska Airlines is doing that now and when Alaska (tech savy) debuts a new way to check-in, all the other airlines will follow soon. Bet on it!
I just took Spirit to Miami and it was horrible. It kept on getting delayed because of the weather supposedly and there was no gate agent updating us. They were hiding the whole time. Long story short, it was their fault and we were supposed to fly out at 6:00 p.m. and we did not leave till 2:45 in the morning and they only gave us a voucher for $50 was expires the month after issue. Horrible experience and customer service.
@@mariuslives8250 I took air Canada 3 times which iirc was chosen as the best airline in North America and first time, it got cancelled, and second and third time it was delayed by 3 hours. United delays me in most flights tho not really majot
I've flown pretty much all the domestic American airlines and I've had very few issues with Spirit, but American and Southwest have been the worst for me, especially with delays.
My mom told me to never fly in Frontier Airlines or Spirit Airlines, and she also told me to avoid Southwest Airlines as well, after the chaos they had this previous Christmas season where so many Southwest flights were cancelled, which left so many Southwest passengers stranded in airports during the holidays. The only airline I've ever flown in was Allegiant Air, and honestly, I trust Allegiant Air more than any other low-cost airline in the USA, but I curiously wanted to try the USA's newest airline, which is Avelo Airlines, but sadly, that airline has suspended flights from my home state, after it didn't meet its expectations.
I love flying Southwest. The Christmas nightmare was bad ,but I have only suffered minor setbacks in 15 years of flying. Their credit card point system is Awesome. My last trip Roundtrip for 3. Austin to Denver was 32 bucks. My next trip.Austin to LAX for 2Roundtrip will be less than 25 bucks
Just a couple things to point out so you have a better idea of Frontier. Frontier does have new seats on the newer planes, the one you flew is actually one of the older ones that still has the old configuration. The newer ones are nicer and have full sized tray tables. The A/C being off, was due to the ground air being used, it isnt always the best, usually the pilots will turn on the APU and the bleed air when it gets to about 76-78 on the displays up front. The bathroom panels are not held by the "tape" those are security strips to make sure no one removes a panel and puts anything inside them. Gate issues are just issues that can happen, a lot of times if a plane breaks they will try to fix it quick, but sometimes it delays into other flights arriving.
Agree 100 percent. I fly weekly from fort meters or Tampa to Cincinnati on frontier and their planes are newer, nicer and I love flying them. And I have over 150,000 actual flight miles on delta and United each. Frontier is not like this in my experience. But I have a different flight path.
I’ve flown with Frontier handful of times out of SFO/LAS. Younger folks either use the airline app or take a screenshot of their boarding pass. Printing is not a big deal. I travel with a personal bag (look into Nomad Lane or minimalistic bags). If you’re the type of traveler that carry’s light, and your destination is 2hrs or less away from your starting, Frontier is not bad choice. Plus I purchase the 2nd row seats for extra leg room if I need to and available. My only criticism for Frontier would have to be how they fail to control crowds before boarding creating unnecessary clutter and foot traffic before boarding. This is my honest take when flying with Frontier on the west coast. Your experiences may vary.
Frontier has cool animals and every plane has a different animal on the back please I think that’s the best part. I’ve flown frontier once and was kind of fun.
If you were uncomfortable going from ATL to Ft Lauderdale on a budget airline try going from Tijuana to Cancun on Volaris, Mexico's Spirit AL equivalent. At one point I honestly didn't think I would make it.
Some tips to know on west coast: In vegas the spirit and frontier terminal often doesn’t have “real” tsa pre check. This means you can go through metal detector but still have to remove your laptop and electronics from your bag. In San Fransisco frontier is in the international terminal for some reason and TSA is SO slow even if you have pre check.
Yep. I remember checking in for a flight from SFO to Las Vegas on Frontier. It was boarding at the same time people arrived for an A380 flight to Dubai. There were probably 500 people waiting to go through security. You can’t beat the $20 fare each way, though. Is it worth it? I don’t know.
I have been flying for 44 years on a very regular basis. In 44 years I only flew Frontier once....last September to Denver. Was the worst flying experience of my life. They charged me for a boarding pass, for a seat assignment, to carry on a bag. Return flight was delayed for 8 hours. Will never fly them every again. EVER!
I've done 15 flights with Frontier, and have had little to no issues, ive had 7 flights with Spirit, and 3 with Allegiant, personally I've had much more issues with Allegiant and Spirit
I flew Frontier I was pleasantly happy with it the bathroom was great my only complaint was the drink prices the tray was small but I only had a can so it was plenty big for that
Every time he flys a with a budget airline his back always hurt before going to the loo. Suggestions for budget airlines: 1. Make the seat better 2. Turn the loo into a lounge 😂😂😂
This video particularly hits home for me I flew frontier on a connecting flight from Chicago to Florida. We had to stop in North Carolina and get on the next plane from there. Everything was going great. We got to the airport on time we made it through security, and was overall a good experience for about the first quarter of the experience but as soon as we got to the waiting area, all hell broke loose people had connecting flights from different states and they would be on their 5th to 6/7 flight. Just trying to get to the destinations. You are so lucky you did not take a connecting flight you would be left stranded. I got on the plane to North Carolina two hours late. It was a two hour delay, and when we made it to North Carolina, we had to wait because there was another frontier plane in our pocket so we had to wait two more hours just to get off the plane and when we got off we were at the news we missed our connecting flight because our plane was waiting too long in that area so we slept at the airport and waited for the next flight to Orlando, Florida we are sick another connecting flight to get there. We had to go to Dakota then we would take a connecting flight to Florida. Once we made it to Dakota we were stranded once again mind you our trip was only four days long so it wasn’t really a trip anymore. We only have one day if we stay there, so we try to take a connecting flight back home to Chicago. We would have to go back to North Carolina and then be able to go to Chicago. Once we got to North Carolina we were stranded once again we had to wait three days in the North Carolina airport to go back to Chicago. It was hell.
We fly Frontier all the time and rarely have an issue 🤷♀️ They have flights all day long and at PHX I generally fly out of the newest, nicest gates. Use the app to skip the kiosk all together unless you're checking a bag. You've already checked in, no reason to do so again at the airport. It makes it easy. I've never been asked to size my bag, either
Define “all the time” because I fly them just about weekly back and fourth from Orlando to Denver and it’s always terrible. My only reasoning for continuing to use them is I never bring a carry on or check a bag and I generally just sleep. My flights are delayed 9 times out of 10 and are definitely in the worst concourses of each airport.
Depends on the day and the agent. In Green Bay they can be quite strict about making sure the carry on and/or personal item fits in the carrier thing at the gate. In Denver we boarded and nobody appeared to give a hoot. I think it might depend how full the flight is.
Spirit does not allow you to tilt your seat back which is awesome. I'm 6'6" & I don't have to worry about a 5 foot skank pushing her seat into my knees.
You might think I’m crazy, but I took a delta flight and a frontier flight in the same week and on frontier, I got free training cards for asking what animal is on the tail of the plane, the people were so nice, and even met a lady and she was so sweet, the landing was was so much better than Delta, Idk why but I liked frontier better
I use Frontier all the time for quick day trips. If you don’t have any luggage, the flight is short, you don’t care where you sit, and just want to get out of town for the day, Frontier is clutch. I went to Atlanta last week for a day for $38 and got to see my friends. I sat in the very last row of the plane and that sucker was RATTLING during takeoff and landing. I still have no complaints.
Hey Eric I usually fly frontier a lot but it is not as bad as spirit. I fly from Trenton to Fll, Alt, and Nc and it is a pleasant experience. It is only bad because of its cancellation rates, please don’t say that frontier is a bad airline😅😢.
Having just flown Frontier for the first time, two separate instances this month, they are perfectly fine. Loved the check in on my phone, they do not require you to print a ticket just scan your phone. Only old people may have trouble with this. They didn’t size my backpack but they pulled people out of line at random, no biggie. All airlines outside of first class sections have grime on windows, seats and tray tables. Their bathroom was the best part. I’m 6’4 and this is the first time in years I’ve been able to stand up straight. Other than that they are same as the rest, just less expensive. The people on the flight were still morons like all flights and rushed to try to get off the plane and skip the seats ahead of them
I’ve flown Cebu Pacific (Filipino budget airline) from Incheon, Korea to Manila, Philippines and the experience was horrible, the seats don’t recline at all for the new planes cos I flown on a new A321 (neo it appear) (and they fly to Australia with their A330neos and they also don’t recline) considering it was a 4 hour flight and the bathrooms were small and cramped (but pretty clean). So I would give Cebu Pacific 6/10 (I recommend Philippine Airlines if you wanna fly to the Philippines)
@HuskyPolitics I booked a flight through priceline which had American Airlines take us to our destination and Frontier Airlines return us home. This was months in advance. Then about 2 weeks before the wedding, Frontier Airlines canceled the return flight. We were unable to get our money back from either airline, only turn them into flight credits. Then I slightly adjusted our honeymoon dates and booked again, this time only with Frontier to try to use up the flight credits. 2 days before our wedding they canceled one of their flights again and could not give us a date that worked or our money back. Had to postpone our honeymoon for several months and lost money on tickets we had bought to do stuff at our destination.
Frontier & Spirit Airlines are the worst. I Flew Frontier Airline recently & everything about it was a bad experience. All their staff is flat out rude even the Flight Attendants. I hate the random seat choice you’ll always get aisle seats. I would only consider to fly with them on short destinations only.
My only experience with frontier, I watched my plane land and then catch fire on the runway before my flight was cancelled 3.5 hours later. Gotta love em.
Only in America will somebody complain about being able to fly someplace for less than the cost of gas to drive. If you don’t like saving a bunch of money and the minor inconvenience, take another airline.
No. A commuting airline pilot, for over 20 years. The ultra low cost carriers (Spirit, Frontier, Allegiant, etc.) are the logical conclusion of deregulation. If you go to Europe or the Far East, they are more common and less criticized. I can fly from Orlando to Houston in 1.5 hours for less than $50, if I buy a ticket. Or I can spend over $100 in gas and 17 hours driving. I can't sleep in a car, but I sleep like a baby on an airplane, because I know there are 2 trained professionals up front. Just put the earplugs in and lean on the wall or slouch down in a middle seat, even on the non-reclining seats of Spirit and Frontier. It's not as good as a First Class seat, but it's only for a short time. Commercial aviation is a modern miracle. That Spirit et al can sell seats so cheap never ceases to amaze me. It all depends on your attitude and expectations.
I've actually flown frontier and I don't see any problems with them. I don't know why people calls frontier the "worst" airline🤨 but I had a great experience with them. Although I didn't see any customer service. But it was really good.
For me, traveling is never really comfortable regardless of the plane. United wasn’t bad, but I have flown spirit, Allegiant and frontier, and I have not noticed the issues he did here. It isn’t luxury by any means and the seats are smaller, but for 1-3 hour flight, the savings to me seems fine for getting where you need.
I fly frontier all the time and I’ve never really had problems besides it seeming like they are always running behind because our flights are always getting delayed and canceled
As an active service member in the Navy, getting to use their military discount was such a hassle with spirit. They claim to offer it but left the instructions incredibly unclear. When I checked in at Newark to obtain the discount, and the free baggage claim I got attitude after attitude. never again.
Hey, The only thing I liked about the 2 airlines was the wing. The bunny and "Howdy" just made me laugh. Plus normally on my spirit flights, they also that that medal table thing like in frontier. I don't know if it's because I go on an old plane or what. I guess they both eh. Nice vid.
Frontier did a flight from Denver to San Diego yesterday. THEY LOST EVERYONE'S LUGGAGE! The entire fight's baggage is missing, and they told NO ONE. They did not say a word during the ENTIRE flight, not before or after boarding about all the baggage being gone. Even when we got to the baggage claim, they tried to flee the office but me and the other passengers formed a line outside their office until they finally let us ask questions. They DO NOT HAVE A CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER! They got rid of it in favor of an unreliable chat room where people attempt and fail to solve your problems. They're really bad, they often take 10-15 minutes between replies, don't read what you type, and often fail to use basic common sense. ALSO, they told me they were UNSURE if the aircraft had been loaded with cargo or not, a blatant violation of weight and balance guidelines put in place by the FAA. Absolute joke of an Airline, they claim to be cheap but charge for EVERYTHING and are utterly disorganized and unsafe. Do not fly, SERIOUSY, I am expecting them to make the news about a plane crash eventually with how clueless they are.
I recently took a flight from Atlanta to Miami via Frontier. firstly they changed the flight time 5 times, then they changed the boarding gate, amazingly, 13 times. a total lack of organization and respect
i flew frontier like 2-3 weeks ago to jfk to san juan pr and they didn’t check my bags and they were on time and it was safe, i had more leg space in frontier then spirit 😂😂😂
I just flew Scandinavian Airlines RT, LAX-Copenhagen. SAS changed my flight from Iceland to Copenhagen, making me stay one extra day in Iceland and one in Denmark. They sent an email telling me to save the receipts for incurred expenses and submit it when home. I did just that, to the tune of $700. After a slight email runaround, they reimbursed for $155. After a few weeks of letters back and forth, resubmitting receipts, 7 or so SAS agents, and my threats to blast them in social media (of which, I have none) - I was refunded every dime of my claim plus and extra $100. Don’t give up.
I'm Denver based and refuse to fly Frontier. Last year, my flight from Dallas to Denver was cancelled due to thunderstorms and Frontier was the only airline still flying out. I rented a car, drove to Austin, and flew Southwest instead. I will never, ever fly Frontier.
If you want to have a really great Frontier arrival experience, fly them to Trenton, NJ, with a checked bag on a chilly rainy day. You probably won't have to wait for a gate to open up, but the adventure starts after you get to the gate. There are no jetways at Trenton, which is more like a commuter airlines airport (which it was until about 2010). So you have to come down a ramp from the plane - be careful, though, because it could be slippery from the rain. Now, if this is your return trip home, you may think you're headed for the small terminal building you boarded from for your outbound trip, but, no, you are directed to a small building off to the side that has the baggage carousels. In fact, I think that everyone from the flight, even the ones with no checked bags, has to go through this building. Anyway, once you have your checked bag, you exit through another door, and you're below the street level. The way to the street and the bus stop to catch the shuttle to the quite distant overflow parking area you probably had to park in when you got there at the beginning of your trip is either up some steps or a long way around through a gradual uphill path. My trip from Trenton was to Fort Myers, with the non-intuitive code of RSW. (SW appears to stand for the same phrase as the non-intuitive airline code WN, Southwest, and the R might be Regional - Southwest Florida Regional, I think.) Upon arrival, we had to wait on the tarmac for a gate. They said it could be 30 minutes, but we got assigned another gate, so it was much shorter. Going home, though, our flight was supposed to leave from a gate that's also set up for customs. An Air Canada flight was due to leave about an hour before ours, and since we were early, it was still there. But it was also still there long after the Frontier plane was due to arrive. We could see that plane sitting out on the tarmac, probably being told the same thing we were told a week earlier, and they were out there for about an hour. They never got reassigned another gate. The Air Canada flight was about an hour and a half late taking off. This of course delayed our flight. This was our first Frontier flight. We live in the Philadelphia suburbs, north of the city, so we had been thinking of trying Trenton and finally did so. Frontier also flies from Philadelphia itself, but if I'm going from there, I would probably choose my favorite airline, Southwest. The flightradar24 app actually calls the Trenton airport "Philadelphia", although the TTN code after the name gives away what it really is. Frontier is the only airline currently flying from Trenton. Allegiant was flying from there a few years ago but stopped their service. I think they may serve another "alternate" Philadelphia airport, Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton. And I think Spirit flies out of Atlantic City.
I've been binge-watching Airline Disasters episodes lately, and I've noticed how many of them are about budget airlines cutting corners in ways that passengers would have no way of knowing. Hmmm. Maybe air transportation isn't the best part of one's budget to try to shrink to uber-frugal levels.
If I'm taking a quick direct flight from maybe Baltimore to Ft. Lauderdale, I'll go ahead and choose Spirit as it's typically the most cost-effective. I've never experienced an issue with them.
WAIT. I have rode frontier with my family to a trip to Disney world. But at the same time I am only a kid. Frontier is great but at the same time, I’m rating the aircraft seating and assistance cause how would I know how to check in on an airline website? Anyway, I rode this in the afternoon, so I can see why some objects can be a bit bad. I honestly rate frontier a 9.5 out of ten. In my opinion.
The amount of comments shitting on Frontier is wild to me. I mean yeah the one time I took Frontier it had a slight delay but that was really it. Not bad at all.
I flown spirit once from Sacramento to Vegas round trip. I had zero complaints! (Only 1 hour flight). The boarding process was so quick, take off and landing was smooth!

I live in Atlanta and the gate issue IS frontiers fault. I’ve never had this issue with Delta or any other airline other than Spirit and Frontier. They schedule too many flights for the number of gates they own, and then they’re constantly being delayed.
good to know, thanks for the help!
Yes! It's quite difficult to figure that out for non-aviation enthusiasts since in Europe for example, it's very uncommon for airlines to "own" gates. Mostly only the big airlines really own their gates at their main hubs. Otherwise they're assigned by the airport in a lot of places. At least I think so.
@@ericstrukCan you fly Alaska or Hawaiian
Actually you’re wrong it’s not frontier fault cause Atlanta only gives them 2 gates and the rest are common use which delta has priority over
@@SLASHERx988 Even so, Frontier holds responsibility over keeping their own gates open. If you only have a small number of available gates, don’t schedule more flights than they can accommodate. Hell fucking no to both of these two airlines. Both are the worst ever and not even worth a try in the slightest bit.
One time i flew frontier, the check in closed 2 hours before the flight, and there were at least 30 people who missed the flight.
Jeez this sounds horrible 😭 all of these frontier literal mess ups make my spirit sound good
Spirit & Frontier are my go-to's for shorter flights. If the Flight is 2-4 hours then I'll go with them. When I fly 5+ hours I'll look at United, American, or Delta on comfort alone.
I fly Spirit 5+ Hours to Vegas all the time. I get the Big Seat for the same price as United Delta...usually less.
Same! They are only tolerable for short flights.
Same but my 5+ I would pick like JetBlue southwest and delta
@@Owen23448is JetBlue good ive never seen a plane of theirs
@@Owen23448 ayyyy u fly JetBlue my favorite airline :)
Was going to say the same thing. Definitely not “taped shut”.
You'd think an airline review channel would know that...
The tape is not applied by customs can confirm I’ve worked in materials that’s on the mechanics
Definitely put on by Mx . It’s amazing how people with aviation channels have no idea about security tape and speed tape
I fly spirit exclusively as a college student with only a backpack and it makes travel so much more possible than it was with other airlines. I also love long layovers in cities so I can explore more. Would recommend for sure, also most of their planes are newer, so they're very safe.
No you don’t
Sounds like you didn’t fly Frontier if you bought a ticket on another carrier.🧐
@@joerepoman1I mean after that, why would he by from Frontier again? Makes no sense. I had a similar issue once with EasyJet and not for one second did I even consider buying my 2nd ticket from them again. Fuck EasyJet
Keep voting Republican and shit like this will continue to happen.
Spirit did the same thing to me last month.
I am terrified to fly Frontier. I hear about their bag check policies and fees and that they have bad service.
I was a flight attendant for skywest and the tape is to prove that that vent/cabinet hasn’t been tampered with. Every airline has their own color and most of the time it should have writing on it with a serial number.
I literally said this a month ago.
@@daledonaldson3672 awesome.
Frontier makes Spirit looks luxury. Also... You explained what a budget airline is... Aren't they all like that now a days?
I personally love Allegiant Spirit Frontier & Breeze. I always pack a personal size free bag & add my boarding pass to my phone wallet. I just go straight to TSA super easy & cheap most times.
me too
Surprisingly the 3rd time we flew on a budget airline was frontier, and for some reason it was AMAZING for a budget airline, the leg room was very good and the seats were mid, the the bad part is that I trays are SOOO tiny and there was a iPhone screen protector stuck to my safety manual lol
nah man frontier flight was horrible for me.
Spirit gets a bad wrap because that's the popular thing to do on the internet but I've flown Spirit countless times and never had any issues. Great for when you're just traveling light for a quick trip and don't need to check in bags.

Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
New subscriber here! I'm loving this video, its hilarious but also really informative. Awesome content dude ❤
I haven’t watched yet but I know this is gonna be a BANGER!🔥🔥
its a 10/10 banger
Love these videos! Maybe you should try Avelo and Breeze, America's two newest airlines
Yeah I've noticed Avelo recently, wonder how they compare!
The real thing that matters is if you land safely😊
Believe it or not, Frontier was once a great airline before they got bought out and forced to be a low budget airline. Now, I don't understand how they're still in business. Nobody ever has anything good to say about them.
I remember back around 2005 they were a pretty good airline. Something must have happened (the merger) in more recent years.
That tray table is going to be common place in a few years. Allegiant started using them back in 2019 and I had the same experience with the seats.
I swear they remove a 1/5 of an inch of leg room every few years.
Hey, amazing video, I love these airline videos! Also do you remember me from thinking this came out last week? 😅😅

Frontier and Spirit never had a fatal accident in a combined 99 years in existance... Who gives a sh#$ about leg room, there's a budget and process to maintain the aircraft.

Well you were just unlucky. I've never had any problem with spirit and it is so far the most reliable airline I've been on in the US.

I highly recommend chasing your dreams! you got this!
I've flown both frontier and spirit I haven't had any bad experiences everything went smoothly on both flights
Yea real for Frontier
What could they put in there? The passengers are screened for explosives at security.
Great post OP.. excellent info. I was thinking about taking a flight to cancun, ticket cost on frontier is $80 one way... Should I book it?
Go for it! Just make sure you pack properly and know how the carry on/personal items size/guide works. @@timd729

In vegas the spirit and frontier terminal often doesn’t have “real” tsa pre check.

EVER!
Honestly Frontier's brand new A321neos are very comfortable, clean, nice-looking and are quiet which makes up for the delays they keep having.

@@Barrett619 at least monthly, but also sometimes as often as every 2 weeks.
I few frontier and it was early and we got do our destination faster

I think Frontier was worst
I’ve flown Cebu Pacific (Filipino budget airline) from Incheon, Korea to Manila, Philippines and the experience was horrible, the seats don’t recline at all for the new planes cos I flown on a new A321 (neo it appear) (and they fly to Australia with their A330neos and they also don’t recline) considering it was a 4 hour flight and the bathrooms were small and cramped (but pretty clean). So I would give Cebu Pacific 6/10 (I recommend Philippine Airlines if you wanna fly to the Philippines)
Also with Frontier, it takes FOREVER for them to turn off their jet engines, making delays on ramp vehicles that need to get to another gate
Frontier Airlines will always be the worst airline because it ruined our honeymoon.

Found the Frontier flight attendant
When I was growing up, Frontier Airlines had the #1 customer rating in the country. This is very sad!
Hey,
The only thing I liked about the 2 airlines was the wing.
TSA PRe Check is a game-changer. I got it for work a few years ago but would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who flies more than once a year.
Spirit air is awesome if you travel with a backpack! They have a new fleet of aircraft too. Spirit is a gem, I love flying with them.
Never EVER EVER EVER EVER fly frontier. Thee worst. Hands down.

Not bad at all.
totally agree with you 👍
I flown spirit once from Sacramento to Vegas round trip. I had zero complaints! (Only 1 hour flight). The boarding process was so quick, take off and landing was smooth!
