I thought the song was more of a flex song as a statement towards K-Pop groups (I don't consider them K-Pop... they're in a league all their own), and pretty much any other group and most events; like they did at Coachella.

We LOVE BlackPink.
The YG entertainment building is freaking huge, with huge sound stages. Only one time, years ago, did they use green screen, and it wasn't for more than a minute total. All of the sets and set pieces are hand made and saved. Like the tank, some are re-used or re-purposed with different colors, lighting, etc. Each video takes multiple days to make, and multiple millions of dollars.
Yes there were lots of callbacks to previous videos, they are shutting down one era i.e. their first 7yr contract.

Basically BlackPink are shutting down chapter one of their journey and Will comeback in 2025
