I have it for 2 months now and I have to say that I love. The shifters felt pretty loud at first but slowly, I was used to it and the positive clicks felt good. I use the dashboard a bit but not that much tbh. Now just waiting on that dd. With the dd, and the sf1000 and the tlcm, it's gonna be perfect
Wife said if she can get a £190 carpet cleaner I can get this… carpet cleaner was ordered 1 minute later and she ordered my wheel a minute after that… PERFECT
This wheel retails for 338 USD on where I live which is a tad bit expensive but you get what you pay for. Besides if you want a cheaper formula style wheel from thrustmaster then you can get the thrustmaster open wheel rim
Got mine September 9th and love it so much. I came from an old Logitech Momo and going from 6 buttons to 60+ is amazing. I would recommend this to anyone!
I simultaneously desperately want it and really can't justify buying it. I bought the Sparco P310 and absolutely loved it from day 1. It is a huge upgrade over the stock rim on the T300RS. But I kept thinking about the Ferrari F1 wheel (the old one) and bought it on a whim when it was on sale. I use it every day now. It is worse than the Sparco one, but for some reason I just feel more comfortable with it. The SF1000 looks so much better than the old one! The functional dials, shift lights, and screen are something that I desperately want. But I just can't justify buying it since I play mostly GT7 on the PS5, and the wheel doesn't have full integration with GT7. Plus it's pretty expensive and I should not buy a new wheel rim every few months. But it's abailable now and it is atteinable and I just NEED it!
I’ve had mine for a bit over a year and I love it but as you were saying about the buttons they started wobbling off and then fell off but you can get them back on except they have to be in the right spot or else they’ll be really hard to press down and one thing that I love about it is that it does work with i racing
i really wish there was a mercedes or red bull replica wheel. i’ve always loved the slim look of the mercedes wheel and i’ve liked the big red bull wheel for some reason
Well all you gotta do is spend 109k on the redbull sin racing thing and I think it comes with that red bull wheel but be for real whos paying 109k for a racing sim
I have a thrust master Evo Alcantara rim at the moment as I used to play GT Sport a lot. I have just started with F1 24 and like the look of the SF 1000 rim. My question is how many buttons and knobs are used in a Formula One race? Is the information on the SF 1000 useful and do all the buttons and knobs make any difference? It certainly looks the business. I have just installed my wheel on a new Playseat and the rim is in just the right place to see the display - just where the on screen display is in the F1 24 cockpit view. Curious from some insight from current F124 players, especially if you use the SF1000.
Bought one of these with the paddle upgrade just shortly before I decided to go DD. It now sits on a shelf looking cool. I can't even remember if I ever tried it.
@Gwil gay Well I'm likely to pick up one of those new TM T818 DD wheelbases in the near future so it will then have a purpose. Besides it looks co cool as a display piece that I wouldn't want to sell it anyway.
I'm also surprised he mentioned the T300 & it working with the SF1000. From what I've seen on the interwebz, either half of the buttons work or it doesn't work at all
I had it day one...and one of my nicest wheel i ever owned when I was in Thrustmaster Eco system. I did put stiffer spring on the clutch pedals, as I wanted more resistant. Wondering on 17 Nov 2022, what will happen with the QR. Can you use the SF1000 on the DD etc?. As you know by now I am on Fanatec V2.5, but the SF1000 is still in my heart! Only disappointment...the "Drink" button never did work!! 😁
From what I've seen from some earlier teasers of the TM DD, they will supposedly be using a bicycle-style clamp instead of the silly screw to fasten the QR collar onto the shaft
Simagic (FX Pro), Cube Controls (Formula CSX 3), Speedmaxracing (the F1-Hybrid Rim that is a clone of this TM rim), Gomez (Formula Pro Elite Prime) and others do formula rims with displays. This TM wheel is just an overpriced plastic toy with not so few bugs and poor q/c.
Looking to get this wheel! It looks incredible! Il be playing on PS5 only. Not PC. Well, don’t have a PC 😂 But I’ve seen that I need a pc to update it. But is this only needed if I’m playing on PC? Does the wheel have WIFI? Can I update that way?

I have a very strong diy Cockpit, and it played perfectly with a T-GT, since I changed to Moza r9 I had to add more aluminum to the cockpit... If it is a strong and heavy table you will not have a problem, another solution would be to screw the table to Wall...
Well if you’re gonna buy a DD wheel you’re gonna buy loadcell pedals as well. Do you should probably invest in a 8020 rig. Honestly the difference between something like a t300 and the moza r9 is just immersion not performance. I recently bought the csl lc pedals to use with my diy rig but I realized it was too weak and it was better to buy a used sim rig of Facebook marketplace.
I’m new to sim racing, got a basic Logitech 923, I recently graduated Nursing School and want to get myself a nice Sim set up but as a casual that’s not extremely tech savvy it’s been really difficult pulling the trigger, on one end I’ve debated the Logitech DD for the price and performance aspect but then I’m faced with “how long til buyers regret sets in” if anyone here has a solid recommendation please help me out, cause the videos I’ve seen with fanatec vs thrust master has just turned my brain to mashed potato’s 😅
I would say direct drive wheels above any other if you can afford it and want to spend the money on it. Those prices are really different (tsxw base alone would be €400,- and Logitech is already around a €1100). I would suggest to wait on the announcement of Thrustmasters Direct Drive and then decide on what to get.
I don't know what the newer ones are like I got my one within the 1st month. The paddels where the 1st to go became very unresponsive untill the upshift packed it in completely after a while the buttons also seem to come lose. The overall design is fantastic but the same ol Thrustmaster quality killed it in the end.
Whoever says this isn't a good value rim is very wrong. I know all these higher end formula rims clearly have better quality they are all over 1k for the same amount of features and a screen!!
I respect Thrustmaster a lot, and own many of their products. However, this is for sure not the best as claimed. When paired with the drive motor, it becomes just average.

If Fanatec still wants to compete they have to create a formula style wheel like the Thrustmaster sf1000 and the Moza FSR
The Wheel Base would mean a lot to me since I really look forward to really start getting into Sim-Racing😊
I been having mine for a year and I’m very satisfied apart from freezing sometimes
Got mine today it's so dope, gotta get used to driving with it though. Upgraded from the thrustmaster open wheel steering wheel
