Probably the best comparison yet. They were actually racing each other at 1 point. The fact that their strengths are so different made it a spectacular race.
Glad you liked it!!
meh, it was clear who was going to win. Road cars have no chance unless it's an infinite straight
@@nixxxon18f1 its under regulations tho, imagine a f1 with no regs
@@yasso7up it would be like the Red Bull X from Gran Turismo. So fast and so much G-forces that you would need a G-suit to drive it and even then you would struggle to reach the limit
@@nixxxon18 Never seen a road car comparison this close tho
The corner speed difference is insane.
Downforce on f1 cars are incredible
In fact F1 is burdened with a bunch of different rules. If we challenge engineers to compete in speed then F1 will be able to show much more serious results on a straight line and in corners it will be even faster than it is now.
For example, the 2020 Mercedes car is probably considered the fastest in history. But it's speed will hardly exceed the mark of 340 km/h. However, on a straight line in 2016 Williams car accelerated 372 km/h.
@@NoobMasterGamer2759 F1 has an enormous downforce.
@@madeovstarstuff yes. The Formula Gran Turismo also has an incredible downforce.
In a drag race, many can beat an F1 car. But in a circuit, the F1 has just an amazing downforce and can turn on rails.
Well "many" it's a little bit an exaggeration cmon, modern F1 cars are around 8.5/9 sec on 1/4 mile....Quick as hell...
In a 1 mile drag race probably, but for 1/4 - 1/2 mile the F1 beats almost everything apart from MotoGP bikes and top fuel dragsters
"Many" is not the right word to use, almost nothing beats an F1 in 1/4 or 1/2 mile drag, probably nothing. Maybe 1 mile? Maybe, but still, a lot less than many, maybe a motoGP
I mean an F1 car is designed to get from 1 corner to the other as quickly as possible. So they are technically built for drag races. Aside from 1 mile, an f1 car is unstoppable.
@@minecraftveteran7410 An F1 car does 0-60 in about 2.6 seconds which is fast but no where near unbeatable. The Lucid Air Sapphire does the 0-60 just over half a second quicker. People forget F1 are hugely restricted by the rules for racing in the formula. If all restrictions were removed, the F1 car would be so far ahead I wouldn't bother starting the engine if I was competing against it
More restricted than a road legal car?
@@jacksteele8613 definitely
@@jacksteele8613yep maybe kinda
The engine is not as big and as powerful as that of the Chiron, so it couldn't reach those speeds, but yeah!
Lift the restrictions and do a mile drag race & the Bugatti would STILL win...and don't forget if you lift restrictions the F1 can go faster but the rear wing is removed so it loses downforce & steering ability at high speed...
This video was really good. Chiron taking this corner 1:47 at full speed is insane 😂😂 Keep up the great work!
Thank you ;)
That isn’t really a corner more of a kink. it won’t affect the speed much if at all
@@penapvp2230 at 464km you are definitely gonna be concerned about whether or not you’re gonna make the turn even if it’s only a 5 degree kink😂
But in reality, the Chiron would have crashed as it wouldn't be able to turn with that speed and weight as it has no down force. That's where this video became unrealistic.
@@ryzenforce bro even a 60s road car with their shitty tires would make the "turn" at the same speed i think a modern hypercar would be able to do the same
One car is design for cornering and the other is a pure top speed demon. Great video man!!
Thank you!
My take on it was Chiron would never reach that max speed in straights due to roadbumps, it would send him flying at 350Km+ whereas the F1 would stick to the ground. There is a big difference in aero and suspension here.
F1 is not a road car it is not practical whereas Chiron is road legal
Take a look at Autobahn Chiron was doing 417 km/h on fairly Bumpy road it was still rock solid stable
In real life im sure that f1 team would come with crazy ass top speed aero to this track, f1 cars could reach over 400kmh with the right setup
Fastest F1 car has a top speed of 397.36 km/h
@@themichaelson That was the BAR007 and it did go over 400kmh in one direction, if i remember correctly it managed to hit 413kmh but it wasn’t the official test, in the official test it went 400.x in one direction and 395.x in the other direction, the average was 397.36 but those engines were way less powerful even if we remove the hybrid part from todays engines
the chiron came close but it got absolutely destroyed around the corners, bring in the bugatti bolide to avenge the chiron!

And have the race set in Marina Bay!
Well. With the specs of 1850hp, 1250kg and AWD, I reckon it has a goooooood chance.

straight line speed is still not comparable to the bugatti.. and the video was about a modern f1…. but it doesnt matter… out of all cuircuts this one favors the bugatti most probably and it still doesnt stand a chance against an f1 car
@@thomastwiss2 Yeah I thought buggati would be better here.
Since long straights. F1 is more balanced and corners
@@thomastwiss2 thats not the point, the more you go near 1980/1990 f1 cars, the quicker they are in corners
@@thomastwiss2 The Bugatti . . . ? I hope you didn't generalise it because the Bolide might beat it by miles.
@@thomastwiss2 Straight line speed? Who cares. The F1's lap time destroyed it by 10 seconds and would have been a few seconds more if the F1 car had not gotten caught up in the last sector by the Bugatti. And the 2019 Mercedes would beat this years F1 car by a few seconds on top of that. So real comparison results say the F1 car is 12-15 seconds faster. In other words, it destroyed the Bugatti.
_You knew the Chiron would make up time back in the straights, but it just can't handle the aerodynamics of an F1 car._
_And another thing, the Chiron catching up to the Ferrari would only happen on lap 1, since the 10 seconds lost in sector 3 + the 10 seconds lost in sector 1 would be enough for the Ferrari to be ahead by the time it gets to the heavy breaking zone at the end of the long straight._

F1
F1
The F1 car, that's not even close. Every F2/Indycar/any other series driver who have tested a F1 car would tell you nothing compares to the feeling of driving a F1 car
But of course, I wouldn't drive a F1 car to the limit. You need a lot of training to be able to handle the G forces. But just cruising in a F1 car is probably cool enough
Bugatti makes really badass cars though
I would even get a Formula 4 every day of the week over that 2-tone truck
In a oval with a indycar and a lmp1, and these too would be sick
Heavy road cars would get the tires wrecked in the longer term
@@nixxxon18 bro its only one lap, i talking about simulation, not the real life lol
@@kanizmajorys2572 in the longer term I mean probably after a few laps at full speed. To run on an oval you need special tires made to sustain the lateral G-forces
In one lap, F1 will simply destroy Indy..
@@HerryNovri on an oval? Maybe in one lap, F1 cars have much better acceleration than Indy, but after about a lap or two, Indy will put the F1 car in the mud. The oval configuration of an indycar has a higher top speed. Now if they designed an F1 car for an oval, it would probably be a different story.
Insane Chiron !!
This is funny bcs before the straight Ferrari leads by 10 seconds, then Bugatti leads at the end of straight by 4 seconds and the finish Ferrari leads again by 10 seconds
bugatti only ever led by 2 seconds, and f1 ended up with 13 seconds lead (10 seconds lead was from where the bugatti was when the f1 crossed the line, not the whole track)
do one where f1 cant use DRS and is running max downforce would be more interesting i think
it would be destroyed on the straight...
I tried to see what happened. The F1 was only 2-3 seconds slower. Very surprising... It took tye Porsche curves pretty much flatout😳
@@THEWINDTUNNEL do a video bro
If the F1 car was geared and set up in low drag config such as Monza GP spec then it would be even quicker I reckon
This was Monza-spec car. The thing here is this car didn't had a tow and had to manage an ERS made for 5 km tracks in a 13+ km track
@@THEWINDTUNNEL ah ok thanks for clarifying. Just seems a bit weird how quickly the Bugatti accelerated, caught up, and flew past the F1 on the straight. I believe F1 cars are good for around 220mph without a tow and the Bugatti takes a fair distance to achieve its top gear speed
For intelligents, there's no comparison required! The body design, aerodynamics, least possible amount of body material used, tailor made bumpers/spoiler of f1 car itself will ensure that it can't be defeated
Except that it can be defeated.
If you were to race an F1 car against a Chiron on the Ehra-Lessien test track the Chiron would beat the F1 car easily.
@@SufferingAddict88 if F1 car get set up just for straight line, Chiron has no chance. It has lower top speed because it is set-up for cornering.
@@HerryNovri
No, that is simply completely wrong.
Back in I think 2006 Honda tried to reach a speed-record for F1 cars in some desert in the US. For that they modified the car heavily to the point of completely removing the rear-wing (i.e. it would not have been allowed to participate in a race like that).
And they barely reached a top-speed of 400 kph (much slower than the Chiron).
And that was at a time where they had naturally aspirated engines without any hybrid system.
Modern F1 cars can't go fast in a straight for long because once the battery is drained (after maybe 4 to 5 km or so) they don't have full power anymore.
F1 cars are simply not designed to go fast in a straight line.
These videos are so satisfying to watch 😩
Ong, the way F1 decelerate and accelerate is just pure satisfaction.
Also thanks for the tips, glad to see you there coach.
An F1 car is the pinnacle of racing technology currently. Nothing can challenge it on a road course, especially a street legal car. Add to the fact that an f1 car is also governed in many ways and they could be even faster. Scary.
The amount of money and engineer that goes into an F1 car is crazy. No car can be fast than an F1 car.
1:50
"NOOOOOOO!!! MONICAAAAAA!!!!" moment lmao
2:30-2:40 omg this bots...
I don't understand the pace of the F1 car in this comparison. In your video, it lapped Le Mans w No chicanes in 3m 26s.
Given that the lap record for the Full Le mans w chicanes is a 3.14 (for a Toyota LMP1, slower than an F1 car), there is no feasable way that a realistic F1 car should be this slow. Additionally, it only did 337kph on the straight. The real cars were doing 350kph at monza in 2022, a much shorter straight than the full Mulsanne.
My believe is that the mod you used for the F1 car is not representative of its true performance and/or the F1 car's driver was not able to deliver close to its potential.
Just commented similar. If the F1 was geared properly and in a low drag config such as Monza GP spec then that margin would be even greater. Was KERS and DRS used as well?

the pricing is completely wrong, current f1 engines yet alone cost 8-9 million lmao. The cost should be somewhere around 15-17 million... no development costs included
F1 going 189kph at tertre rouge???? Who is driving? An LMP1 can do 240 there, an F1 would be in the region of 280+. Same in the Porsche curves, and F1 could do them flat out or almost flat out.
Your right but there was tail wind and it had minimum downforce, track conditions weren't that great either
The F1 top speed is too low.. LeMans setup would surely pull at least 365km/h.
But this does show that some cars could possibly beat an F1 on this track.
I think Mcmurtry Sperling would absolutely own it.
1:46 Oh man that bend was CRAZY!!!!
At the 1:50 mark! The chiron.. went by that F1 car like it was sitting still , but the quick acceleration and corner speed of the F1 car that 🏆 won the race 🏁!!
and braking distance just ate the whole gap in one corner
The biggest difference in favor of F1 is the lighter weight and the greater cornering speed and grip thanks to the better aerodynamics
Straights: Bugatti
Corners & Acceleration: F1
It's surprisingly more interesting than I expected
I love how even not using the current layout of Le Mans the Bugatti is absolutely smashed around the circuit. F1 cars have ridiculous aero and would take the Dunlop and Porsche curves section of the track completely flat
That's because the F1 is lighter and has shorter gear ratios, corners faster due to its tires and better handling then the Chiron but in terms of top speed the Chiron will surpass
F1 is just aerodinamically superior
corners faster due to it's tires?!
I mean... it's part of it but mostly it corners faster due to the INSANE levels of downforce it produces.
Also F1 cars have sooo much drag compared to a road car. Those wings are shit for going fast in a straight line.
@@SufferingAddict88 true and ye I was told F1 cars have high grip tires

I realize this is a single lap comparison. But I think it's worth noting that this track would be relatively easy on the F1's tires while the heavier Bugatti's tires would still degrade pretty quickly. So, I imagine the gap would continue to grow and at an increased rate.
The Bugatti would run out of fuel before😅😂
I would guess running the Bugatti like a race car would cause it to overheat and eventually break down after a few laps too.
in the real world, that would not be able to be done by chiron, chiron would be thrown over the fence... the capabilities of f1 cars are close to gameplay.
CQFD : light is right
amazing how accurate this looks
F1 cars are not designed for ultimate straight line speed. They are developed for racing circuits, where braking, acceleration and aero efficiency/downforce are the most critical factors. This is like comparing a sprinter to a marathon runner.
Chiron would not reach 460 km/h that quick in real life it needed 5 miles and 6-7 miles to do 304 mph
It's no way near any F1 car in acceleration
The way the f1 car runs in corners is mental
Felt my teeth hurt when the chiron exceeded track limits, that was horrendous big fella 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Should have chosen Max Verstappen with his Red Bull, it wont leave Chrion a chance lol
In a destruction derby the Bugatti would win for sure 👍👍
Not bad for a car that weights nearly two tons.
Amazing video.
The Chiron is at big disadvantage on the corners because of it's weight.
I'd like to see how it compares to a Lancer Evo in terms of cornering speed (i recall an Evo to be even faster than a Lambo, in that).

The Chiron driver was fucking THROWING it around. The F1 was taking it easy with a high downforce build and likely not using its full potential. Modern F1 cars with low downforce can run over 210mph on the mulsanne straight.

It's the weight and aerodynamics
Should have done it with a koniggsegg jesko absolut it is 200kg less and has an even higher top speed
When we race in the track definitely F1 would win cause he has grip for maximum speed cornering and also it has fast gear advantage but when we take it to a long straight line definitely the Chiron would win cause it has top speed and aerodynamic advantage.
1:32 *it was at this straight line, The f1 knew.... He fucked up*
The Top Speed for the F1 car is wrong though, they can reach way over 400 kmh they just don't do it on most F1 Tracks because most of the straights are not long enough.
I don't think a current F1 car can reach 400 km/h even with Monza wings. Keep in mind F1's record speeds are with a tow and here I had to save a lot of ERS so I didn't run out of elctric energy in 10 seconds
@@THEWINDTUNNEL that's just because of the way they program the car for the F1 races, they would change a lot if they were to actually race on a track with a 6km straight

It's good enough for a pace car
It'll do the job
I'd like to see how a lighter hypercar would fare against an F1 on this track, such as a Koenigsegg.
no, it can't beat a formula 1 car because although the bugatti has much higher top speed (wich is seen in the straights) the formula 1 car can beat it easily because of the structure of the front wing, wich is built so that the car goes faster, the air pushes the front wing more to the ground, wich results in the best grip that a car can get and not to forget that the wheels of the formula 1 car contain rubber outside, wich in the combination with the front wing thing mentioned earlier, produces a >1000kg downforce on the rear and front tires of the side that is pushed down in a turn wich does maybe one of the grippiest wheels that you've ever seen
There's no legal machine can beat that F1 in track. MotoGP, Nascar, LeMans none.
