That was an incredible comparison! The fastest accelerating car v the fastest corning car @ LeMans. It looks like there were just enough corners for the F1 to win.
Fun fact: In an actual drag race (video here on YT) the Rimac destroyed the F1 car, but the latter shines whenever the road isn’t straight. I honestly would have expected this to be the one track where a fast hypercar could outperform an F1 because those three long straights are where the former excels.

Next video, we could test how many corners an F1 needs to win. For example, Avus should be on the Nevera side. F1 vs Nevera on the Old Monza, with the oval, should be an interesting fight.
Was wondering how the jesko absolut would do against this car? I feel the 300+ mph top speed along with its unbeatable acceleration past 120 mph might give it a bigger gap on the straights. I also think it might handle corners better thanks to it weighing 1,000 pounds less
It is close because this track layout cuts through the chicanes in the Hunaudière straight. With the actual Le Mans layout the F1 car would win more easily 😉
Easiest way to defeat electrics is to lengthen the race. A simple V8 Supercars Mustang or Camaro would easily beat any electric car you could dream of at Mount Panorama at the Bathurst 1000.
@@THEWINDTUNNEL Indeed. But still with sufficient track optimalization (in this case very small and flat wings) the F1 can do 360. However the question is whether that would lead to a faster overall laptime, because the gain on the straights would be partly componsated for by a loss in lower cornering speeds. However given the character of Le Mans with its long straights (without the chicanes) and few corners, I assume that the it would make the F1 faster than it is in this simulation.

@@THEWINDTUNNEL According to the FIA, the drag reduction system (DRS) can increase speed by 10-12 km/h (6.2-7.5 mph) by the end of the activation zone. However, many teams report a lower figure of 4-5 km/h (2.5-3.1 mph) at certain circuits. The fastest speed measured in an F1 qualifying session in 2022 was 351.7km/h (218.5mph) by Kevin Magnussen in Mexico, while Valtteri Bottas currently holds the record for the highest speed in an F1 race, hitting 372.5km/h (231.4mph) in the 2016 Mexican Grand Prix. With Mexico having the highest top speed on the F1 calendar with only a 1.2km (0.75mile) straight, I'd imagine they'd be easily capable of topping 202 on a chicane-less Mulsanne. The modern cars are hitting nearly 200 on the Red Bull Ring straight. The ENTIRE Red Bull Ring is only 4.3km (2.7miles). Mulsanne was 6km (3.7miles).
