At the age of 59 (two years ago) after being a Protestant my whole life, I converted to Catholicism. One of the major reasons why was the REVERENCE given to God during mass. Lamb of God songs literally choke me up. The alter IS where heaven meets earth. I am in the choir and also do some cantering. Whenever we sing in Latin, acapella, in 4 parts, that is truly soul healing for me. I have been to a Latin mass once (it was a pretty long drive out there), but yes, we felt more of “heaven meets earth” there.
@@carleen5345 I am a cradle Catholic. I was born in 1945 now going 75. Before Vatican II most masses were Latin and the songs were Gregorian and wearing veils was a must. I can still remember how the voices echoed in the entire Church. Our playground was the Churchyard, we played until dusk. When the Church bells rang for the "Angelus", we stopped playing. Our Parish Priest would come out by the Church door to join us in prayer then we lined up to kiss his hands. During the whole month of May, we offer flowers every day to Mother Mary, we call it "Flores de Mayo" as May is devoted to her and also the Catechism month. It is still being practiced in the Philippines, my home country. 90% of our people are cradle Catholics. My generation missed so much the Latin Mass and the Gregorian chant. Now only a few Churches are doing this.
I don't know about that. I'm partial to the youth masses and masses in other languages at the churches I'm attending but I do hope that there's more Latin masses. The nearest FSSP in my house is only 3 miles away so I occasionally attend. 😊
My husband and I are converts from the Seventh Day Adventist faith and recently switched to TLM. We love it and find true peace and reverence. People are intentional with prayer, no talking or socializing....it drew us closer to Jesus and I no longer get stared at because I veil. We love it!!!!
I relate to you completely! I was a Praise and Worship Leader for 12 years at a Protestant Church. Then my son who was doing an in-depth study of theology convinced me that the Cathoilic church is the true Church. We desperately want to attend a Latin Mass, but the closest Parish that offers the Latin Mass is 150 miles away. God Bless, and I look forward to more of your post!
Pray about it! When I visit family in my hometown of Rochester NY I drive 101 miles one way and cross the border into Canada to attend the FSSP parish for Mass!
Welcome home Steven Bell my brother. The Gregorian Chants are online too & there are worship services in G. Chant. If you can't attend, try that for now. So glad to have you.
We love the Latin Mass, we moved just to be closer to a church that offers it daily. It draws us closer to Christ. It is truly God centered. God bless you, Keith
I’ve been on this planet for over 50 years, and where do you think I learned most of the catholic faith from? From protestants who converted to Catholicism! I know it sounds strange, but it’s true. God is using you Keith. Stay strong my friend, God bless.
I agree that Protestants sincerely love Jesus and we Catholics have to appreciate their love for the bible. However, we must learn the biblical basis of our sacraments and dogmas. These are different between Catholicism and Protestantism. God Bless us, and may we be a single flock soon.
It should sound strange, but it doesn't. I'm a cradle Catholic, also over 50, but was surrounded by mostly nominals most of my life. When I started looking deeper a few years ago, it didn't take long for me to realize that some of the strongest Catholics are former Protestants. It may not be my fault that I was not catechized well, but I don't see that as an excuse to be lazy and not study now, as unfortunately too many do. I admit I have a lot of catching up to do. I've already learned more in the last 2.5 years than I did in my first 49.
Julie Elizabeth amen to that! Yes you’re right, it is our responsibility to do the research, to learn about the early church fathers. I would say I learned a lot from Dr. Scott Hahn who was a former Baptist.
That's because the faith is so poorly taught to Catholic kids! I'm a little older than you and I remember the nuns playing Jesus Christ Superstar in religion class! That was fun, but gives you no basis for being Catholic. Then they wondered why so many of my generation fell away (I did for a long time).
My first time attending the TLM made me feel Catholic and not Catholic at the same time. Meaning this treasure has been taken away from most of us and being in one makes you feel why we say “et Unam, Sanctam, Catholicam et Apostolicam Ecclessiam” Thanks for sharing Keith!
I’m a full time Latin mass Catholic, but I obviously won’t try to tell my friends that they are some how lesser for not going. I’ve known people who are on fire for Christ in all parts of the Church, so I never judge. All I know is that we can always have Catholic unity in our orthodox catholic teaching, practice, and belief. God bless! I am so happy that you are able to enjoy this amazing gift of the Church.
I am a convert of 2 years and within a year found myself drawn to traditionalists. Am currently watching all the Catholic Identify Conference videos. I pray that all Catholics faithful to the teachings of the Church whether TLM's or not. For some it It is simply not available and others are at a state in life where moving is not available.
I'm nearly 75, a cradle Catholic who is really enjoying your journey to Catholicism. Between you and Steve Ray I am so glad to be a Catholic. I have been away from the Church for the last 15 or so years, but I'm returning to the faith and you are a large part of the reason why. Thank you.
Thank God that the TLM is still available in some places! It's an awesome experience! Born and raised in the Novus Ordo but recently re-inspired by the Latin Mass in it's beauty, glory and sacredness...especially the respect for the Eucharist. It's great watching your videos and listening to your story of conversion to the faith. God Bless.
Thank you! I was born cradle catholic, left the Church when i was 15, this year i am 32. It was the latin mass that brought me back and teaches me more than i was before. I was back in the late Oct of 2015, my first encounter with the latin mass. It is just in this community, that i felt the altar is no other ordinary altar, the worship mass was something special, the gregorian chant calms our souls after the long hours in the hectic world. With words i cant explain well enough the experience, but all i can say even after all these years back in the Church, the latin mass, gregorian chant, the reverence, the love and passion, the latin rosary, latin litanies, just made the mysteries so beautiful. I am too, like you not a hardcore latin guy, but we cant deny that the latin mass just has that special touch on souls that you feel the calmness, the love from God, the peace from God. Next, i would suggest to visit our eastern catholic brothers divine liturgy, not eastern orthodox but our eastern catholic brothers.
Keith, I respect you for Latin mass and here I want you to pray for us in Meghalaya north east India coz we have lost our beloved bishop Dominic Jala due to car accident at Auckland in California USA on 10 october. His mortal just arrived here today evening. Please pray to our Lord Jesus for the hearts of million christians here. We are still crying and praying now. God bless YOU and your family. From Meghalaya. North East India.
God bless you, Melitina. We will pray for our Indian brethren. We ask that you pray for us here in the West as well, who these days need it more than you do.
I came as a convert to the Latin Mass. I will NEVER leave the Church 😭 but cannot attend a mass or celebration that does not glorify God but entertains humans instead
Keith? While listening to you in this video this is what came up for me...You were born into this world as a Catholic even though you received the Sacraments later in life. You were born to Evangelize everything you have experienced in life to bring more people back to our Most Holy and Apostolic Church. Thank You for saying YES! The love you are experiencing from the gifts of the Latin Mass are those I learned as a little girl. I remember the Latin Mass the music the Priest's celebrating facing the altar. It was once all I knew. To hear you get excited about everything Catholic...as well as your family gives me as a cradle Catholic hope that our church continues to grow and will always exist with devout Catholics such as yourself. Continued prayers for you Your family and your mission in life..🙏💙
LATIN Mass will heal us . NO Oran posturing, no sign of Peace hand shaking, no alter girls, return of communion rails, communion on tongue instead of hand, veils on women's heads, appropriate attire, no female deacons, no protestantized music, mass facing away from people with focus on God instead of PEOPLE.
Child of God, don't you wish peace to your neighbour (whoever that may be - check out the Good Samaritan)? Should we go back to the days when you had to fast from midnight before receiving Communion? (that's the only way we could process the number of Communicants today if we reverted to altar rails). Many people in those days were denied the chance almost ever to receive the Body and Blood of Christ because their working life didn't permit them to attend a Mass early enough that they could fast before attending Mass. Did you read what Jesus said when asked why his disciples didn't wash their hands before sitting down to eat ( Jesus answered them, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition? Matthew 15;3) Don't the words "come as you are, that's how i want you" have any meaning to you? Where in the world are female deacons practising? Should the congregation not be able to join in with the Mass? - one of the themes of Vatican II was that people should not only attend Mass but take part in and understand what is going on during the Mass. That is much easier if you can see the celebration - and so you are better able to focus on God during the Mass. Perhaps you think that Muslims have it right when they insist that women worship at the back of the mosque? Wouldn't you be happier with Keith Nester's view of the Mass, that there is a place for both TLM and for Novus Ordo. Peace be with you brother or sister
I know of "dead" Catholics that have been brought back to life by the Latin Mass. AND I also find myself surprised that as a hard rocker....i TRULY enjoy Gregorian Chants
Just happened upon this video. I am a convert from Judaism, as well as a "retired" priest who offers the Extraordinary Form of the Mass. I do enjoy on Sundays and Holy Days when I am only assigned one Mass at a parish visits to Eastern Rite Catholic Liturgies. As St. John XXIII commented on the Eastern and Western Churches to know both is to breathe with both lungs of the Church. While I do have a strong preference for the Older Rites, (Latin Mass, including the Roman, Mozarabic, Dominican, and Ambrosian Uses) Yes there are several Rites among us Latins. But also the Byzantine, Chaldean, Coptic and other Eastern Rites of the Church. I think what people sometimes miss is the Mass I offer is not my work, but the work of Christ. He is the primary celebrant at each Mass, of whatever rite. When I was a child in a Jewish family, each year we would celebrate the Seder at Passover. One of the things that strikes me about the Mass and the Seder (which Christ Jesus used to institute the Mass and Eucharist. ) In the Seder, we were taught that by participating in the Seder, we could not say we were remembering what God did for our ancestors, but that by participating in the Seder, we must now say, we are celebrating what God has done for me. The Exodus became present by God's power through the Seder. So too at Mass, Christ mystically takes us to the Upper Room and the Foot of the Cross, and as His presence in the Eucharist is the Living Resurrected Christ, we also are present at the Resurrection when we are at Mass. Mass in any Rite approved by the Church.
Hi Keith, I’m a long term Catholic but left the church when I was 20 at university. 18 years later I had a Damascus road conversion experience where I became a full on believer in about 2 seconds and returned to the faith. I totally agree with you about the disgustingness of brining the world into the mass. I recall attending a mass at a school I taught at when they sang “puff the magic dragon “ and John Lennon’s “imagine”. YUK! I grew up with the Latin mass and I have to tell you I much preferred the mass in English. I couldn’t understand what’s the big deal with Latin? You are the first person I’ve heard who has made a compelling case for the Latin Mass. Thanks mate.
As a cradle Catholic, I feel so blessed by your witness to Truth. My admiration for your joy as a convert - which I see in my dad every day - knows no bounds. God bless with you and your family!
Im a recent convert as of 2014 and I remember when I first discovered the TLM. Looking back on it I felt as if something so beautiful was being hidden from me. If someone wants to deapen their relationship with the HOLY TRINITY, the TLM is a must. In my opinion the novus ordo can only take you so far. It's merely catechetical. The TLM is contemplative and catechetical.
Saw you again at Mass this morning. (My wife and I live in Waterloo.) I didn't want to be disruptive by saying hi right there. But I may be coming to the men's night coming up soon. I'll say howdy of you're there. Anywho, I love the TLM even though I can't attend often. Focus is so much better, and fosters belief in the Real Presence more than what I'm used to.
I had goosebumps listening to you. I'm a cradle Catholic, stopped going to church when I left home and came back to the church a couple of years ago (I'm 54 now). I've been moved by your videos seeing the complete joy of your "awakening". If you ever visit Arizona, go to a mass with the Franciscan Friars of the Holy Spirit (Laveen, AZ). Those men are on fire!
I have taken a couple of those red Latin -English translation missals myself. Matter of fact I read the Commemoration of the Dead prayer at my father's funeral this past April and everyone, including the Novus Ordo priest was blown away by it. I give that book away to people and tell them to try to read it and not cry. Can't be done.
I can't say much just that I cry and cry just listening to your experience because that what really happening in every mass. Thanks for the sharing God bless you and your family Keith Nester.
Awesome video again. I also learned to love the latin mass and cannot stop tearing up every time they sing the asperges in a high mass. I literally feel in heaven. It is great you are enjoying this treasure
As a cradle Catholic you are way ahead of me. I haven't been to a Latin Mass yet but I plan to soon. My parish priest always says Mass Ad Orientem and some is in Latin (Sanctus and Agnus Dei) so it is a great step in that direction. Today the choir sang the Litany of the Saints during communion. Beautiful. I would like to hear that in Latin during Mass.
I am so happy that you love the Latin Mass as much as i do ..The Noves mass dosent give you the satisfaction that you get in the Latin Mass .The Latin Mass is the one and only true mass of Jesus Christ that has been passed down for over two thousand years .May God bless you and your family .
Couldn’t agree more on your thoughts on modern contemporary Catholic Church music. One reason I left for the Latin Mass. you’ve nailed it in this talk. This is me. Thankyou.
Thanks for sharing Keith. The Latin Mass is amazing! All the sacraments and prayers in the old rite are incredible. We had #7 in May and we were fortunate to have a new priest at our parish (age 27) who was willing to baptize baby Therese in the old rite and it was such an experience. Multiple exorcism prayers with Blessed salt placed on the tongue of the baby (mouths were consecrated in the old rite baptism which is cool) :) That said, I did/do feel robbed that we laity have had all of this amazing tradition hidden or pushed aside for the sake of stripping it down. I learned last year that even the holy water blessing is different. Anyhow, I’m just happy that I can share all of this with the kids and help them experience all of what the church is.
My brother I’m a catholic revert from Protestantism, but I came back to the Byzantine Catholic Church. Fell in love with it and havent missed a Divine Liturgy since. I was debating on going Greek Orthodox before I came back but got a happy medium with the Byzantine rite. Would you ever go to a Byzantine church or have been to one?
Keith Nester yea my brother, It’s pretty sweet. Would love to hear a video on that experience if you ever come across one and or decide to do that. God bless you bro. ☦️
Marilag Lubag yea it’s great and the whole congregation sings together the Divine Liturgy. We are pretty much an Eastern Orthodox Church that has came back in communion with the Roman Catholic Church. Viva Cristo Rey.
I served as an acolyte for Latin mass for three and a half years and I agree with everything you say here. I actually was offered the chance to join the choir and sing the motets but I was taking up communion at the time and ended up serving as an acolyte. I loved going through the mass and hearing the music from the altar (It also was a bit stressful as I would always try to anticipate what the celebrant father needed in the Mass before he would actually need it. But the fathers appreciated my efforts.) I actually found some solace as I worked on learning how to chant the readings and began to serve as a novice lector. The priests and congregation were happy with my ability to recite the readings and offertory prayers. The beauty of the Latin Mass is something I wish more people appreciated; I'm glad you have come to appreciate it.
God bless you Keith! Two resources I found incredibly helpful to understanding the Mass are 'Treasure and Tradition' and 'The Incredible Catholic Mass.' I think you would love these books! You are in my prayers.
I really enjoyed listening to your explanation. As an ex charismatic Protestant and a new Catholic I can relate to everything you said. Best of all you explained it in a non judgmental way.
So glad you had a great experience with the "Mass of the Ages". I started regularly attending Latin Mass since 2013 and it has been wonderful...a beautiful God-centered, prayer-centered, transcendental experience of the Divine. Could go on and on about its virtues. Thanks for your testimony and God bless you and your family.
Everytime I attend a Latin high mass i get goosebumps. I don't know where you are based out of..but if you're ever in Chicago check out the Latin High Mass at St. John Cantius or the High Mass at St. Francis De Sales Oratory in St. Louis.
Great share. The latin mass as a high mass is beautiful. Just want to make a distinction for your followers that the mass you reference is a high mass. Thats the one with the chant etc. A low mass is also available at a TLM parish but its read by the priest while congregation is silent. Its a different experience but still elevating.
Music was what drew me to the Latin Mass. Keith, I was born in 1963, just as things were changing in the church. By the time I made my first Communion and was confirmed, everything was in English, and the priest faced the people. I knew almost nothing about the Latin Mass. I began to get really curious, however, when I first heard sacred polyphonic music. If you think Gregorian Chant is awesome, (and it is) polyphony will really blow your mind! When I learned that this was music for the Mass, I really wanted to hear it *IN THE MASS.* When I found a parish near me that had regular Latin Mass, I started going, gradually learned more about it, and gradually fell in love with it. I've been going ever since. God bless you, my friend.
No apology needed! We all used to go to really early Masses back in the day because of the fast that began at midnight and didn't end until after Mass.
I have yet to attend the Latin mass. I've always enjoyed the Gregorian chants. Hearing it in the Sound of Music was so comforting and we bought a CD of Gregorian chant a few years ago and we only started becoming Catholic about 3 months ago. A few weeks ago, we attended mass with our bishop and he chanted the entire mass. I loved it. Thanks for your video, always enjoy them!
Keith, I just returned from the International Catholic Identity Conference in Pittsburgh, I along with 100s in a standing room only church, attended a Pontifical High Latin Mass given by the Most Reverend Bishop Schneider, everything you just described was at this beautiful Mass. There were also many numerous traditional speakers there, you would have fit right in along with Taylor Marshall, Michael Matt, Mother Miriam, etc!!! Order the book Christis Vincit, I think you'll enjoy it!!
I was a practicing but spiritually dead Catholic, then I discovered the Latin Mass. It re-ignited the fire in my soul, and re-invigorated my love of God. It also helped me better participate in the Novus Ordo Mass, because it increased my understanding of what really happens at a Mass.
Oh wow you gave me goosebumps, in all my years of being Catholic, I have never gone to a Latin Mass, but it' been on my heart for months now, literally months. Last year a co-worker told me about a Latin Mass he and his family attend every Sunday and because it's a bit out of the way I never got around to going. But this Sunday...it's happening!!! Thank you for once again inspiring me and you are so right "mass should not be of this world." I left the Catholic church 5 years ago to go to a Bible church and one of the main draws was the contemporary , upbeat, worship music, but I soon realized I was going for all the wrong reasons. There was no mention of the Blessed Virgin Mary, no "Our Father", no celebration of the transubstantiation at Eucharist which for this church, was purely symbolic and only 1 Sunday a month. The peace in my soul since returning to Catholicism, going to confession and receiving communion has been overwhelming. I am finally home and home to stay.
I am a convert and have never experienced Latin mass, but I have really enjoyed the music in the Spanish mass. Our church has guitar and bass, with some percussion. It is upbeat and beautiful!
I just had this experience going to Latin mass this Sunday. We’re not even Catholic; my husband and myself were raised Protestant and have been looking for a church to join for raising our son. The experience was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Good to know I’m not the only one.
Just last Sunday October 20th I finally had the Grace to find a little church in my hometown in northern Italy and attend to the first Latin Mass in my life and... I simply loved the all of it! The respectful silence of all the people there, men leading the rosary in latin before the Mass, the solemnity of the Liturgy, the dignity of the priest re established, no distractions, no mobile phones ringing.. the all of us were focused to the Sacrifice of Our Lord Jesus. And I wondered how could have been that we abandoned all of this? I use to go to Mass daily but, since that moment my Sunday Mass will be only the Latin Mass. I just can't wait for next Sunday. God Bless.
Thank you Keith. Your experience matches mine: my wife and I and our five children have been so enriched by the Latin Mass. (It has also improved our experience of the Novus Ordo.) God bless you and your family. You are a treasure 😊
Glad to hear you enjoy, Keith! I am blessed to attend one of the largest Latin Mass parishes in the country--with 4 full-time priests that are extremely busy. All masses are in Latin with 2 sung masses and the rest "low masses". These actually have a lot of quietness and are very compelling in their own way. We live in this world where we are always feeling like we need something making sound. It's a nice counterpoint. We also have a dress code at our church which really helps there to be more of a "wedding feast" air to the mass.
I felt in love with Gregorian Chant as soon as I let myself sink in to the music I now can't even stop listening cause of how powerful and how the music puts me into a trance like if I was heading into heaven and it's a wonderful feeling... I'm planning to Convert to Catholicism and as a recording artist I would love to try and join the gregorian chant choir if that was possible in the future just to experience the music and learn its history and be a part of it
As a cradle Catholic (aged 82) I have experienced all types of Holy Mass from Solemn High Mass to 'happy clappy' & I have to say that I just love the day-to-day Low Mass which is (for me) so much more prayerful &, bear in mind, I have been a choirmaster at the usus antiquior. My marriage (in 2006) was a Solemn High Mass with 3 choirs & a Dominican preacher & my feeling is that such Masses are for special occasions while the Low Mass is (for me) much more personal.
I'm so grateful your video am across my feed. I'm hoping it will help our college aged son return to the Mass. And help me do the extra work to attend the Latin Mass, which is further away. God bless!
The solemnity of the High Mass, that I used to serve at boarding school in England, with the English Benedictines. It was even more special than what goes for a Latin Mass today. As a thurifer, at the head of the procession and recession, the pace was bridal slow and the thurible was swung shoulder high and given a 360 on the turn. We wore crimson cassocks with white angel wing surplices. Now something that you all should knw about Gregorian Chant, it is based on 432 Hz, which is one of two known basic healing frequencies. The other being 528 Hz. The 432 Hz is also know as the Verdi frequency as up to 1938 all orchestras were tuned to this frequency. But the basic frequency behind the two is the earth's frequency of 9.6 Hz. The latest healing therapy for all neuroloogical, and immune disease is PEMF (Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field) therapy. It uses the earth's frequncy of 9.6 Hz pulsed in a square wave form so that all the harmonics are used. If you divide 9.6 Hz into 432 Hz you get 45 and into 520 Hz you get 55 so you see they are direct harmonics of 9.6 Hz. It's amazing how science is directly connected to the Catholic Faith and healing of Mind/Body/Spirit.
I'm a convert too and I totally love the Latin Mass. Now that you have openly spoken I hope you don't get any major backlash. The Trad effect can have its good/bad moments.
I have attended Latin Mass for mY second time this last Sunday, Oct. 4, 2021. The reverence and the chanting music is heavenly, I just ask my Lord to give me the understanding to follow and understand to be able to follow holy mass. I am hispanic and able to understand a little. I am so bless to be able to go, I still go to the Novus Ordo mass to Saturday vigil mass.
I am a cradle Catholic but am rediscovering my faith. The Latin Mass is so beautiful! I discovered it 6 months ago, but I try to go as often as I can. Actually, because of it, I decided to learn latin in the Holy Rosary. Its the only way I pray the Rosary now. Trying to learn other prayers in Latin
Keith, I agree 💯 that music has a power to move us towards and on the flip side away (some awful stuff out there) from the Holy Spirit. Even the difference from having an pipe organ or piano is amazing. My wish is that the Novus Orda could be more reverent. I'm trying myself by bowing before Our Lord in Communion. I'm not judging people's hearts but if we all could approach the altar and receive in a more reverent way I think it would help not only ourselves but those who are struggling to find that feeling in the soul when it feels like it's completely full of Christ's love and radiating out. 🙏✝️ 💓💞. A little taste of heaven. Another great video. 👍👍
Thank you Keith! I hear you on all of this; so, so true! The TLM went away when I was in my mid-teens. The high altar got moved in the middle of the night to the side in 1965. I know that now, because they just moved it back 57 years later and there was a newspaper inside from then. No one seems to know who did it even!! I am so happy to see things come full circle in my life time!🥰✝ Our daughter-in-law's uncle is now designing kneeling rails for both our parishes. I was sad to hear that one set got parceled out into people's gardens back in '65. Our daughter's wedding Mass was the first Traditional Latin Wedding Mass in our church in 46 years. Since we have a big musical family, we do most of the music for our events, even my husband's funeral a year ago. It is so beautiful and healing to sing and hear The Church's timeless traditional music! Here are some of our favorite Latin Mass parts: Kyrie: ruclips.net/video/0rupvcypBlQ/видео.html Sanctus/Benedictus: ruclips.net/video/DHA6m5etJ6s/видео.html Agnus Dei: ruclips.net/video/8lXMvu8zVxc/видео.html The original Crucifix appeared at a daily Mass in the mid-90s. I was having flash backs the minute I walked into the church! We had a flat ceramic, huge, suspended Jesus with no cross for many years. Then they built a cross that size and moved Him back to the wall. So this huge cross was there still when the original Corpus was put back. When the altar got moved back, they had to cut the Cross size down and move it up for the High Altar to fit! We have been so blessed with a choir director since the 80s that kept the Latin music alive all these years so that when our current pastor started doing a Novus Ordo Latin Mass every Saturday night, David Phillips was on it! For the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, our Parish Feast Day, "Saint Mary Our Lady of the Presentation" Parish, our choir was completely ready to do all the Latin music and we sing it during Lent as well. We are also so blessed to have Traditional Latin Masses in three local Eugene, OR Area parishes, including several daily Masses. That is how we attended for the 2 Covid years since our small town country parish priest just added Masses until we all fit; 6 per weekend! Half English and half Latin. His little country parish doubled in size where our big downtown parish is dtill begging people to come back.
Wow Keith...you are one awesome Catholic! You understand things that lifelong Catholics don't understand for instance where heaven meets earth..and how we are stepping out of the world. After the words of Consecration we are present, standing at the foot of the Cross on Calvary with Our Lady. Mary and John. Christ Acts are eternal, timeless. Imagine what people are missing. Can't wait to see your next video. p.s. a pre 1962 Roman Missal really adds to the Latin Mass because of the Feast Days and Prayers of preparation and thanksgiving. I didn't know Latin. We just need to know where we are in the Mass and the rest falls into place by the power of God and our good intentions. Ahhh! Happy for you and family.
I wish cradle Catholics had the depth of feeling and understanding that you have.
Your experience warms my heart. God Bless You! 🙏💙
I am reverting to the Catholic church at the age of 60 after being a Protestant since I was a teenager. It's never too late!

@@digimom82 I attend there every now and then (a good friend of mine attend there) but I love the mass in whatever language it's prayed.
I'm 39 and converting to Catholic. Latin Mass is the way!!! God bless you dude, I love your videos.
God bless you!
Well come home, young man.
We're a bit like the Jews of Christianity. We do things differently, and sometimes we do things in a second language, but it is rare.
I am a lifelong Protestant. At the age of 41 I converted, was baptized and confirmed in the Old Rite. I now serve daily TLM at least 3x per week.
Awesome John, God bless you brother.
My husband and I are converts from the Seventh Day Adventist faith and recently switched to TLM. We love it and find true peace and reverence. People are intentional with prayer, no talking or socializing....it drew us closer to Jesus and I no longer get stared at because I veil. We love it!!!!
How do Seventh Day Adventists worship? Just curious. I used to have a friend who was a youth pastor's wife, but I never asked her.
I used to be a Seventh Day Adventist myself!
To both you who converted, welcome home and God bless!!!
Seventh day adventists are pagans with Bible influence. They have another book too that I got from them (just being curious what it said)
Surprised any adventist or witness can convert. They are perversely ignorant and obstinate.
Gregorian chant casts out my demons and brings me to tears almost every time.
Steven Bell keep looking. I hope one comes nearer to you soon.
Pray about it! When I visit family in my hometown of Rochester NY I drive 101 miles one way and cross the border into Canada to attend the FSSP parish for Mass!
Steven Bell
Welcome , God bless your son he leads you to the Church founded by Jesus Christ
Welcome home Steven Bell my brother. The Gregorian Chants are online too & there are worship services in G. Chant. If you can't attend, try that for now. So glad to have you.
Here is our choir at the Latin mass ruclips.net/video/WxAvj5glIz0/видео.html
We love the Latin Mass, we moved just to be closer to a church that offers it daily. It draws us closer to Christ. It is truly God centered. God bless you, Keith
Laura Barton daily! You are so blessed 🙏
I have a "holy jealousy" about your comment. :)
I agree

"LA IGLESIA ES UNA, SANTA, CATÓLICA Y APOSTÓLICA."
Thank You, Jesus! I'm litterally dying of emotions here. I pray to one day, if God wants, to attend a Latin Mass
Find a city with TLM that you travel to for vacation on a Sunday.
Perhaps you have a Byzantine or Greek / Ukrainian Catholic Church in the area? It’s also very beautiful and reverent
Melitina Thabah I pray for you my brothers in India. We love you!!!
God bless you, Melitina. We will pray for our Indian brethren. We ask that you pray for us here in the West as well, who these days need it more than you do.
God bless you 🙏

Love your Love for the Church, I'm a cradle Catholic and have never been, so hopefully soon! God Bless and Welcome home. Keep on inspiring!
I came as a convert to the Latin Mass. I will NEVER leave the Church 😭 but cannot attend a mass or celebration that does not glorify God but entertains humans instead
I agree Maria!!
I love the Latin Mass. It is timeless, beautiful, and Holy. Viva Cristo Rey!
Thank you.
Child of God All mass - said reverently - will heal us.
Child of God , ‘LATIN Mass will heal us”. ...remember to pray to your God, The Latin Mass, when you’re on your death bed. 🙄
I prefer NO because it service in my language so i can understand what the priest says. I dont understand latin language.
Matthew 15;3)
Don't the words "come as you are, that's how i want you" have any meaning to you?
Where in the world are female deacons practising?
Should the congregation not be able to join in with the Mass? - one of the themes of Vatican II was that people should not only attend Mass but take part in and understand what is going on during the Mass. That is much easier if you can see the celebration - and so you are better able to focus on God during the Mass.
Perhaps you think that Muslims have it right when they insist that women worship at the back of the mosque?
Wouldn't you be happier with Keith Nester's view of the Mass, that there is a place for both TLM and for Novus Ordo.
Peace be with you brother or sister
@@emtedee985 this is satire, right???
I know of "dead" Catholics that have been brought back to life by the Latin Mass. AND I also find myself surprised that as a hard rocker....i TRULY enjoy Gregorian Chants
Im one of the "dead"" since 15yo, and now im 32.
My first experience with TLM was in 2001 when I attended a Benedictine Monastery. I attended 10 years. It was heaven on earth.
My son and I have been going to the Latin mass a month ago. I We love it.
Yes, please say hello next time we are there at the same time. Take care!
Hi this is Tess from Manila. .I myself have fallen in love with Latin mass...it just gives the goosebumps
Keith, I'm so so happy you attend the Latin Mass!! What a blessing that Jesus has given us!! Blessed be God!!
I'm so impressed by how quickly you found the Latin Mass. Praise God!
Hey Keith, just found this video! Amazing story! Thank you for sharing your experience.
The feel of Latin Liturgy makes our soul resonates more with Christ than this vain life...
I have been learning the Divine Mercy prayers in Latin.the rosary too! I love the Latin prayers. .
You are blessed with your priest
In Latin Mass we do not sing the Litany of Saints except during the ordination liturgy.
Thank you for making this video and providing your testimony. We love the Latin Mass.
At 70 and a Traditional Catholic since birth, I love your story.
Pax vobis ✝️
Good for you brother. Imagine my joy growing up in the 50’s and continuing to celebrate my Faith in Latin even today. 💯✝️😇
I am so happy that you love the Latin Mass as much as i do ..The Noves mass dosent give you the satisfaction that you get in the Latin Mass .The Latin Mass is the one and only true mass of Jesus Christ that has been passed down for over two thousand years .May God bless you and your family .
I’ve been going to the TLM all my life and I’m still learning! That’s what’s so awesome. You can never exhaust our beautiful faith.
"It counts!" You really ARE a Catholic, now! Thanks for sharing your stories!
You're hooked:) bro in Christ! I have a very similar experience. Thanks for the great video.
Amazing! That was the same for me... the music made me cry...I felt like I was in heaven the first time I went to tlm.
beautiful!!
I want to thank you for coming into the faith at this present time we need good Warriors now more than ever
Glad you gave it a try, Keith. There is so much wealth in Catholicism. You could spend your life exploring it all. Thanks for your video.
Haven’t been to one. I would love to
Keith Nester yea my brother, It’s pretty sweet. Would love to hear a video on that experience if you ever come across one and or decide to do that. God bless you bro. ☦️
I've never attended a Byzantine rite mass. It seems interesting. 😊
Praise be to God, what an awesome sharing about the Latin Mass🙏! I started going to TLM and it's one of the best decisions I ever made.
God bless you all!
So glad you had a great experience with the "Mass of the Ages". I started regularly attending Latin Mass since 2013 and it has been wonderful...a beautiful God-centered, prayer-centered, transcendental experience of the Divine. Could go on and on about its virtues. Thanks for your testimony and God bless you and your family.
fantastic explanation! the Latin Mass is a great treasure indeed.
Thank you so much for your beautiful and blessed testimony!
That sounds like a great time!! Thank you!!
I was a practicing but spiritually dead Catholic, then I discovered the Latin Mass. It re-ignited the fire in my soul, and re-invigorated my love of God. It also helped me better participate in the Novus Ordo Mass, because it increased my understanding of what really happens at a Mass.
Praise the Lord for that!
You made me laugh about walking out of the bad contemporary music Mass ! Lol. I've been going to Latin Mass for ver a year now. So AMAZING xx
Wow Mary! Thank you so much for sharing this with me! Please let me know how it goes. God bless you!
i never went but one day i will!!
I am a convert and have never experienced Latin mass, but I have really enjoyed the music in the Spanish mass. Our church has guitar and bass, with some percussion. It is upbeat and beautiful!
trust me brother I feel the same each time I hear the choir in my church
I just had this experience going to Latin mass this Sunday. We’re not even Catholic; my husband and myself were raised Protestant and have been looking for a church to join for raising our son. The experience was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Good to know I’m not the only one.
Enjoy your videos Keith! Awesome what the Holy Spirit is doing in you!
Really enjoyed reading the comments. It seems like there is a great awakening going on.
Same way I felt !amen .
Hi Keith thanks for your testimony. You are great. May God bless you.
I felt in love with Gregorian Chant as soon as I let myself sink in to the music I now can't even stop listening cause of how powerful and how the music puts me into a trance like if I was heading into heaven and it's a wonderful feeling...
I'm planning to Convert to Catholicism and as a recording artist I would love to try and join the gregorian chant choir if that was possible in the future just to experience the music and learn its history and be a part of it
Keith, this is Awesome.
always a pleasure listening to your experiences in Christ's Church. About the latin Mass, that is a bull's eye! Right on! God bless
Praise God forgiving you such a wonderful gift, and for you telling us about it!
I'm so grateful your video am across my feed. I'm hoping it will help our college aged son return to the Mass. And help me do the extra work to attend the Latin Mass, which is further away. God bless!
What about communion at the guard rails so reverent you receive our king on our knees , the Traditional Latin mass a Tradition unlike any other.
Sir, attending a Latin mass is double indulgence and blessing to you! God bless you!
Introibo ad altare Dei. I love the beautiful words of the Traditional Mass, and the sublime singing of a good choir. Heavenly.
Keith, I am so thrilled that you went to the Latin Mass!
Well said! I’m so glad that you have been moved in this deep way. How wonderful that you accidentally found it. I agree, it’s soul changing.
May God bless you 🙏 you have returned to the house of your Father ❤️😊🙏🕊
Here are some of our favorite Latin Mass parts:

The original Crucifix appeared at a daily Mass in the mid-90s.
GOD BLESS YOU BROTHER, KEEP UP THE "GREAT" WORK!!! J M J
