@@cole.kovneskyBRO AFTER I SENT THIS COMMENTS LIKE 4 DAYS LATER I LANDED MY FIRST EVER BACKFLIP AND NOW I CAN DO IT EASILIY. Soon i will do it on grass
Once I tried to backflip on my bed because a video, I studied lots of videos on “how to do a backflip” I jumped and landed on my back which knocked all the air out of me, worst experience ever. I tried I few more but it wasn’t the same so 2 days of trying went to nothing. I finally came back and started to try again but the fear is a lot. I recommend you do build up progressions before attempting the backflip.
I can do a backflip but I always land either in a deep squat or with my hands down. I used to be able to do it fine, but my jumps and tick power got worse from really bad osgood schlatter. Anyways, good video!
sorry to hear that!! if it makes you feel any better, osgood schlatter usually goes away with age once the bones stop growing, so there is certainly still hope to get back to that prime backflip!!
I swear I have been stuck on the back handspring stage for like a year now. For the love of all things good I just cannot transform my BHS into a backflip lol. My BHS is quite good but it’s just stuck at what yours looks like at 3:58. Any tips ? Lol
i think the part you are currently at, is one of the hardest parts of learning this skill. right now, you can to a back hand flip. and whats holding you back is fear of removing the safety of keeping your arms ready to brace the ground. the best tip i have to get over this is: imagine that instead of doing a bhs on the floor, you are doing it onto a block, let the bhs set go upwards rather then over and backwards (behind you) the scariest part of a backflip is making sure the jump gets high enough before the flip begins, so if you jump as you reach your hands to the sky, it will give you the time needed to pull the flip around you may find yourself crashing to your knees as you progress this, but thats okay if you have a mattress or couch cushions around, good luck, train safe, DONT GIVE UP, i want to know when you get it!! i hope that helped
@@cole.kovneskyTysm for the tips brother!! I’ll try em out and we’ll see what happens. I’ve also noticed that during my backflip attempts my legs don’t actually rotate over until about 70% of the way thru the flip. Whereas for you at 4:08 for example you can see your legs are already tucking right after liftoff. Any mental tips for achieving this? Thanks my man🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I still can't believe people learn backhandpsring before backflip. I can do a backflip but not a backhandspring
thats how i learned too, i got a backflip then later learned back handspring, but not everybody can throw it like that so we gotta ADJUSTTT !!!
