I'm 51 now and have done things that I'm glad I was able to accomplish and I still look to do a lot more but life has a way of throwing obstacles at you. I was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer and I can tell you, you're never ready to get an illness like this especially when your relatively healthy and full of life with children that still depend on you. So yes, live life to the fullest, be happy, enjoy your family & friends, smile more, forgive more, truly absorb the present!! I wish nothing but the best for you.

Sometimes people lose track of that and focus solely on work or something else that takes time away from family. At some point they realize what they've missed out on and try to get that time back. By then it's too late. There's nothing more rewarding than having a healthy and strong relationship with your children, your spouse and family. Keep enjoying family and life as often as you can. We never know how much time we have on this earth. We all have have some sort of regrets in life. Never let one of those regrets be the time you missed out on with family. 🙏
I hope you post every now and then. I made the decision a while ago to only post new content if it really interest me. I often get editing a video and then scrap everything if I didn’t enjoy the process. like you, there was no way I was going to waste time on something if it didn’t bring me joy.

You said something like “be present” remember that as your child gets older. I had to video my older daughter’s ceremony for a fairly big deal at school? So focused on my phone I literally thought to myself that I wasn’t not “present” vowed after that day I wouldn’t care about getting a video of whatever. When my dad died I wished I had more videos of what we did together. That’s what I want for my kids…to watch, smile, and reflect on the times we shared together. Excellent message Daniel; I'm 60 and raised my two girls, my treasures, with intention and presence. Fishing videos are a great distraction, at best educational too, but family is everything (or at least in my humble opinion, should be). Just post when you want to, or not, but a lesson you should take to heart is this- your children are small for such a short amount of time; you definitely want to be there for as much of it as you can manage. Before you know it they'll be grown and out on their own and you'll wonder at the gift of it all.

During your time away it had me wonder where you’ve been or what you’ve been up to. Congrats! This video hits home. I have three boys and a crazy busy life. I did a lot of hard the work with my videos, loved creating and editing, tried to make it work, but for me, it never took off. I wanted to keep on going with it, thanks to you ogs like you and Fisherman Life. However, it felt like RUclips Algorithm just never really helped kick it off. Also, their new video strict policies just made it harder to obtain and gain more viewership/subs for us starting channels in this specific fishing community. Even after years and hrs of filming and editing, it didn’t just felt right so I also went MIA to focus on better things. All and all, hope you the best in the future bro! 🤙
I have adored you since I watched your video for the 1st time. You made me a believer immediately and never faltered. I totally agree.. do what makes you happy. Do what you love! I live on the east coast New England so I have about 4 months on my kayak on the ocean fishing. 66 yrs old. I know the feeling being out there. I always say I am going to do this til I cannot. Long story short I just got a diagnosis that There is a high degree of probability that I may just have a coupla summers left. I am hoping for a cure cancer sucks. So all your thoughts about time, strike home. You are a very thoughtful, thought provoking deep human that has all the respect in the world from me. I have missed your videos but also knew you were finishing your PhD, and now the announcement of a son. Totally understandable...priorities, happiness,you are a smart man! And the cherry on top a big ass 🦀!

Excellent message Daniel; I'm 60 and raised my two girls, my treasures, with intention and presence. Fishing videos are a great distraction, at best educational too, but family is everything (or at least in my humble opinion, should be). Just post when you want to, or not, but a lesson you should take to heart is this- your children are small for such a short amount of time; you definitely want to be there for as much of it as you can manage. Before you know it they'll be grown and out on their own and you'll wonder at the gift of it all.

During your time away it had me wonder where you’ve been or what you’ve been up to. Congrats! This video hits home. I have three boys and a crazy busy life. I did a lot of hard the work with my videos, loved creating and editing, tried to make it work, but for me, it never took off. Congrats OG on the phd and newborn! This vid totally relate. I feel like I was all over the place with this RUclips creator, newborn, graduate as well. I wanted to keep on going with it, thanks to you ogs like you and Fisherman Life. However, it felt like RUclips Algorithm just never really helped kick it off. Also, their new video strict policies just made it harder to obtain and gain more viewership/subs for us starting channels in this specific fishing community. Even after years and hrs of filming and editing, it didn’t just felt right so I also went MIA to focus on better things. All and all, hope you the best in the future bro! 🤙
I have adored you since I watched your video for the 1st time. You made me a believer immediately and never faltered. I totally agree.. do what makes you happy. Do what you love! I live on the east coast New England so I have about 4 months on my kayak on the ocean fishing. 66 yrs old. I know the feeling being out there. I always say I am going to do this til I cannot. Long story short I just got a diagnosis that There is a high degree of probability that I may just have a coupla summers left. I am hoping for a cure cancer sucks. So all your thoughts about time, strike home. You are a very thoughtful, thought provoking deep human that has all the respect in the world from me. I have missed your videos but also knew you were finishing your PhD, and now the announcement of a son. Totally understandable...priorities, happiness,you are a smart man! Taku when i first sub to his channel he was small channel.. now, he is living the best life.. having fun and making money while doing so.. ultimately, its your life and you do what you enjoy doing.. i wish i could escape the rat race..
