- LeBron James has been one of the most popular athletes in the world since he was in high school, but that doesn't mean he was always loved. In fact, after 'The Decision' and his departure from the Cavs in 2010 he was the most hated athlete on the planet, here's the story.

With no championship results.
@@gone.golfinglol yeah because who would’ve won a championship with those Cavs roster or came close too carry them to finals?

I'll say this... The Decision was much more justifiable than KD going to The Warriors.
Fs the Cavs Front Office straight up betrayed him by not surrounding with a team that will give him a legit shot to win a championship and they accused him of quitting when he was the only reason why they were relevant once he got there
I always say it would be slightly comparable to kd IF lebron went to a team like the celtics instead of the heat
@@rohangupte3545 you lie! In the 07' playoffs the Cavs played two 41 win teams without their best players and the Pistons without Ben Wallace, and LeBron still need Gibson to come off the bench and score 31 points just to get the Cavs into the Finals. Then LeBron choked on it, was bricking everything and turning the ball over more than anybody in either team. The Cavs added players every season for LeBron but he kept turning them into stand around shooters waiting for LeBron to drive into traffic and get forced to pass it out. Then the first help LeBron gets and he completely melts down in the Finals. Wade avg 26.5ppg, 7rpg, 7apg on 50% FG+ and LeBron choked that series away getting outscored by 4 different players! I swear you fanboys are disgusting

The 2011 bulls with Lebron would’ve won 74 games
a starting lineup with rose, wade, bron, bosh, and noah would have been easily the greatest team ever
Assuming Lebron would've taken enough pressure off of Rose that he wouldn't have gotten injured from playing 40 minutes of hero ball every night, it's really hard to imagine that team not becoming a dynasty. The core was already a nearly championship caliber team of talented support who were playing unselfish ball and were genuinely hungry to win. As long as Rose would've stayed healthy as a result of not being overplayed and the personalities on the team figured out how to get along with each other, that team would've sailed to the Finals every year with Lebron instead of Boozer on the floor.
Lebron not going to my Bulls is why I hated him

I was a kid when this happened and I didn't understand why people were so angry. All these years later, I still don't. Lebron did everything for Cleveland, Cleveland did NOTHING for Lebron, NOTHING. They couldn't even get a half decent young co star best they did was an old Shaq, they took him for granted and took advantage of his stardum they deserved it.
Lebron didn't even start Superteams either there were plenty before the Heatles. And he didn't abuse the systems either the way players do now he played through his contract and didn't make a circus out of it like James Harden or Ben Simmons, he was professional.
Let me explain why LeBron was so hated. He is the first to form a player made superteam. Never in NBA 3 players in their prime drafted in the same draft class went to 1 team. That was unheard of. Especially when LeBron chocked in game 4-5 v Boston in 2010. We viewed it as the cowardly way to get a ring
@w_out 7631 u sound absolutely ridiculous they had right too feel how this bum lebum did too the franchise that team did everything this bum asked them too do and yet lebum stabbed the team in the back and holding the team hostage for 7 years and yet lebum can't getting done and turnaround and quit on the team

😂😂LeBron and the Cavs were favored to come out of the Leastern conference in 09 & 10. LeBron did start the superteam era.
These fans become emotionally attached to these players. The reaction in Cleveland was sad! Some of those people acted like he was their spouse divorcing them. SMH 🤦🏾♂️
Seriously bro. If LeBron stayed in Cleveland he would have wasted his prime away like Dame
I remember being a little kid and hating Lebron knowing literally nothing about basketball. Still not close to basketball but I feel like everyone, whether they wanna admit or not, want to see greatness. As an adult now, if I saw Lebron move to Miami, I’d 100% support. He was being held back from greatness. Anyone who trashed him, especially Cleveland, and the Cav’s owner, should be ashamed. Lebron deserved better
1:00 error, his 5 straight playoff loss and him starting to get more criticism for not winning a championship, he made the finals in 2007 and lost to the Spurs, prob his most forgettable and second worst finals performance.
He was young only 4 yrs in the league not to mention the roster was horrible nobody scored more than 15 ppg
Against a experienced and dominant team
Wasn’t a bad series on his team lol he got boxed and one the whole series with 4 defenders sometimes all 5 on him when he drove to the basket 😂 the spurs literally only game planned to stop LeBron , with that being said he did well given everything that was thrown at him .
@awc6007
2007 was no where near his worse loss. He dominated a water down eastern conference and lost to the Spurs in a sweep 🧹 which everybody knew was going to happen. If he had won it would've been a major disappointment and look bad on the Spurs.
He was 22 with a bad roster, carrying that team to the finals vs a spurs team with 3 time champion duncan and coach pop, and 2 time champ manu and parker.
Cleveland fans blaming and demonizing Lebron for leaving and not the Cavaliers management is crazy work
@@Blxck_cactus LeBron had Ilgauskas as an all star with him, he had Gooden, Pavlovic, Daniel Gibson, then Antwan Jamison, Mo Williams, Shaq, Ben Wallace, then later Kyrie, Love, JR, Korver and after all of that, LeBron could only win 1 ring in a conference where his teams were easy favorites... @@younglove3362 that is what I'm saying his heart, mind and body is just not into it, its hard to practice, dedicate, enjoy etc when your mind and heart are not just into it, I think he loves Esports more than basketball.. If proves me wrong, I would be happy for him but now I pity for the kid because of his father, in the situation he is in now
@Leviathan_1.0
Maybe, but maybe later he can get it together and be a late bloomer. Lord knows I did.
Which move had a bigger impact in nba history?
- The decision
- My next chapter
you can’t blame him, his team was ass the cavs are lucky he even stayed with them that long. he only had ONE all star on his team during that time🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
1:02 what you talking about not getting to the finals. He did it in 2007
My take: Bron got hated bcs of Cleveland sports & the expectation of having a career like Mike. Since he entered the league he went so crazy individually so ppl fantasize him being one day the GOAT Basketball player ever. Wich is a setup for me. Since Mike there’s always a comparison of who’s gonna be better than him. Not who’s the best Basketball player without comparing Mike specifically. It’s not even a Bron thing. But Bron had such a crazy hype that rappers, players etc went to his games. And i think why ppl saying Bron changed the game by teaming up bcs they saw Bron should be on the Cavs, carrying Cavs & having like 6 rings just like MJ. But if you look at the bigger picture:
KG,Ray,Pierce teamed up. Nash,Amare,Shawn Marion teamed up. Kidd,Vince teamed up. Melo,AI,Camby teamed up. Dr J,Moses Malone teamed up.
It’s nothing new. Bron was just a continuation what the others does that happens to be much hyped. And my question is: „How did he destroyed it, when ppl expected to move away from the CAVS & hoped to join on their fav Teams?“ Bron Goat or not it’s ppl’s choice, but the narrative by „he was the first to do it“ i don’t go with that.
👍
the NBPA (collective bargaining agreement)
ALWAYS had Lebron's back with his nba DECISION
The Hate is because delusional Jordan fans are drunk off Nostalgia and hate change. As the game evolved and the era developed, people expect things to stay the same and run as they did in the 90's while it's the mid to late 2000's. 🙄
Pat Riley showing his championship rings in a bag to LeBron is cold 🥶
Thats why MJ the true goat, brought a trash Bulls team to an amazing dynasty. LBJ had to leave after 7 years of losing and had to join different teams to get his rings
the cavs never drafted a scottie pippen
@@lRockyI LeBron is Scottie Pippen... He's never been a Batman, only a sidekick that was never told his place
@@hakeemolajuwon4352 Hating like this is crazy
@Mr.Mister412 when did telling the truth become hating? Maybe if I lied and said LeBron can guard 1-5 then maybe you'll agree with me
@@hakeemolajuwon4352 Yeah, when LeBron carried his team to face the Spurs in 07, I guess he was just a sidekick. Or his game against the GSW in 2018, I guess he was getting his bumass carried 🙄. Maybe if you stop screeching to everyone in every comment on why LeBron sucks I would take you seriously fuck outta here.
I think the lure is incorrect... Wade mentioned that they looked hard into Chicago and later called the Heat owner to make it work
Let me explain why LeBron was so hated. He is the first to form a player made superteam. Never in NBA 3 players in their prime drafted in the same draft class went to 1 team. That was unheard of. Especially when LeBron chocked in game 4-5 v Boston in 2010. We viewed it as the cowardly way to get a ring

The reason why he was so hated for it was because he was the first to do it, especially in the way he did it. Him and 2 other top players in the league were willing teaming up by signing to the same team and made a spectacle of it by first, shooting an hour long interview to announce his decision and second, throwing a celebration declaring how easy it’s going to be.
The real answer is that losers focus on winners, whilst winners focus on winning
@ what does that even mean or have to do with anything?
Lebron made his bugest mistake when he left Miami
