When you were lifting the back end, I was expecting the glass to shatter and the afternoon crew to scream! Haha, great job, always a pleasure to watch your work!
Dang Scott, first you cave in to the safety gestapo. Then the clean freaks! I guess Mr Spotty and Mr sawzall have a thing goin on behind your back! Lol have a great weekend!
I apologize if this has been asked already. Are you going to "absorb" the wheelbase differences in the wheel arches? Dr Google has told me that the 65 is 108" & the 15 is 107.1" I ask because this is a "frame swap" that I have & am considering. Great content!
You said, "This is the fun part, no thinking involved yet." (comment from down below)... I think you had LOTS of thought process going on before you dissected that carcass. You have and have shown us, you possess great vision. As you were making cuts on the 2015 today, your mind was picturing why and where they would go on the '65. (At least I hope so Scott!) See, for the artistic display you present to us, it matters not what breed of iron these are for, we tune in solely for your creative abilities! (Where the hell did that come from.) See what you bring out in us? Thank you for another great one! Sonny (CT)
Man... You have some mad skills. Its all about seeing the project at the end with plans ahead of each plan, after plan with executions of said plans where it all ties together. I am currently doing a re-build on a 69' Barracuda. This car has been blasted hard in the right side and had some serious "somebody's been here before" done to it. seriously, how does a car get whipped out so bad on the right side where it wastes the quarter panel, rear trunk inner jamb by the tail light housing, B Pillar door jam, rocker inner and outer, wrinkle the floor, punch the A pillar in at the upper hinge post and smash the upper corner of the roof? Some butcher did the "repair" so bad, must have use 2+ gallons of mud to make it somewhat presentable. Then I end up with this mess to fix properly years later. That is what I am dealing with. And that is just the right side. Your project(s) motivate me to keep pushing on. Rock that POS Ford Mudstain my Body man Brother. Cheers!
Nice to see someone that does high quality work doing this swap. Not too sure about the other one that just slapped it together with bailing wire, duct tape and sheet metal screws. Great job.
Keep protecting those ears! Take it from many of us that have ringing in our ears 24x7. We never hear silence. My hearing is still good but the ring never goes away 😊
Hello Scott! Another amazing show of your automotive talent with the stellar surgical "trimming" of the 2015. Very cool you were able to have the "partial" afternoon crew return for the heavy lifting segment. This series is a high-performance transplant with all the ups and downs of joining old and new creating a 1 of a kind custom vehicle as you go, and with your witty commentary makes for great viewing. Thanks for taking the time to film, edit, and voice-over the process. Much respect for your knowledge, experience, and your motivation to build a unique vehicle. I enjoy each segment and look forward to the upcoming adventures. Take care, stay safe, enjoy your weekend. See ya in the next video. Doug@ the "ranch"
You and Mr. Spotty got a lot accomplished once again took the afternoon crew to get the job done. I am interested in seeing it all together and how you deal with the wide suspension and axles.
I like seeing you bring stuff back to life it's amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it You're an incredible mechanic hats off to you my friend keep up the awesome work my friend and I'll keep on watching and maybe one day I'll buy something from you take care& God bless🏁✌🏿✊🏽🏴☠️
Great video as always, could you not sell the top piece? I'm guessing there are plenty of ford guys with damaged roofs after doing a bit of crowd control
I love the anti - Ford comments...I was in tears. This is very interesting. I'm just wondering how much fabrication will be needed versus bolting and welding. Staying tuned.
If I don't include the Ford insults people might think they are on the wrong channel. lol There will be a small amount of fab work but most work will be just welding the new floor into the old car after trimming them to fit together.
THAT LOOKS LIKE FUN. SAME AS WHEN I TOOK MY 73 VW SUPER BEETLE A HUNDRED YEARS AGO AND HELPED GET IT MATED TO A 75 PORSCHE TWIN TURBO CARERRA REAR FLOOR AND ENGINE. STILL GOT IT.
Just this morning stumbled across your channel, and binge watched this entire project. RUclips is to busy suggesting things I have not interest in to make worthwhile suggestions to channels like yours. Looking forward to the rest of the build. I to have take abuse for my mono tone RUclips commentary, FYI this is my excited typing voice.
Snap on dealers never used to care how a tool got damaged. I used to process the stuff coming in from the dealers (best day of the month), the game was to figure out what you guys did to some of these tools. It was very interesting to see just how much punishment a lot of the hand tools can take, and yes.. Snap-on makes some of the best, and most are made as well as possible. There are limits to materials strength. Put a 5’ bar on a 3/4” ratchet and somethings got to give.
Looks like a lot of resellable parts when it's cut up. Right quarter, roof, right side pillars and all the small pieces. Can't believe that glass didn't shatter!
This is fords version of the kit produced and developed by Goodmark/Resto Rides; by transplanting a first gen F-body to that of the fourth gen underpinnings. If anybody is capable of doing this task by himself with his 20 plus years of experience is Scott “Da man”. Can’t wait for you to shut up those haters out there. This will be by far one of the most crowning builds you have produced. 👍
pretty cool . looking forward to seeing it all come together. you might have mentioned this in a earlier video, but , do plan on keeping the finished mustang?
Im not sure 'crash course' was a good choice of words with the forklift. lol You all made it work and no one got hurt. Well, except maybe Mr. Spotty. Poor guy has thin skin! lol Cant wait to see the finished product!
Destruction makes for more interesting videos. lol It was only the junk parts anyway so she can be trusted. If I would have included other levers and instruction in the training, no one would be safe. lol
In case you were unaware, with the dewalt recip saws you can mount the blade sideways.....or upside down........Mike's tip of the day! (just the tip mind you)
There was a time when snap-on didn’t care what you did to their tools, they would replace them. 1 example, Sure “officially” not supposed to use regular sockets with impacts, but I’ve never hear of a dealer refusing to replace. Best job I ever had was looking through all the dealer returns and guessing what the mechanic did to damage some of these tools. I mean really incredibly tough tools, so to bend or break would take a frightening amount of energy and definitely well into the the Bright RED warning limit exceeded zones. snap-on still makes excellent stuff, and no I don’t work for them anymore, but sure was fun when I was a kid.
You my friend, should be certifiable insane, like the Bad Obsession Motorsport Guys Absolutely love it - cant wait for the next video to see if its more cutting and trimming, or cutting another car in half!
HI scott. can I ask you something. how dose your vin numbers go. do you use the 65 one or the later one. or dose what we call over here the department of transport ( in Queensland anyway ) issue a new one ??. love the post I hang out for Saturday mornings to see your lasted post. keep it love it cheers shane pepi
Funny.....7:32 as soon as you flipped to the playing around in mexico portion of your video, a car outside my shop locked up the brakes.....lol....wait what? this was shot in surround sound?
In a similar fashion to the comment about pushing Fords, my brother in law always comments about old Skodas having a heated rear screen to keep your hands warm in winter.
Hope Mr.Spotty don't knock an eye out that adventurous daredevil, and you should wear chanklas(flip flops) with a steel toe rating..afternoon crew saw a shiny ball to chase under there,ya know ya really should usa a laser pointer that way you predict where it goes
What i would give to work on wrecked not rusted....👍👍👍👍. But i do like my plazma cutter 😂 my bobcat sucks with a door. Has to be up or down to get out....
That's what I'm talking about putting an older shell on a newer chassis so the older car will ride like new. I can see that Big Buick getting a crown Vic make over? Old shell with a new chassis! That's how I want my 1947 Chevy coupe to ride old shell with new chassis under the body with power steering power breaks with air bags on all four corners so it would feel like it's floating down the ROAD.
Back in the height of my career those were popular and we laughed at such an easy deadline. Two of us were working 20 hour days on the weekends to finish multiple cars a week. I’m paying for it now but it was fun and totally worth it. That was all pre RUclips when cars were repair friendly!
Nothing like coming home from a day at the body shop to watch this amazing project!
Thanks!
@@vehcor that daily grind eh?
Hi, I alway like watching your work more than once - I hope you have more time to complete it all
When you were lifting the back end, I was expecting the glass to shatter and the afternoon crew to scream! Haha, great job, always a pleasure to watch your work!
You were not the only one. I did not warn her of that possibility just for my own amusement!
Ah it's over!!! I really enjoy your work and George (Mr. Spotty) is right by your side. Thumbs up for this build and thanks for sharing this build.
Thanks for the support!
Good afternoon Scot, I do like the method of your madness. Looks like real engineering. Can't wait for the results. Take care and stay healthy.
This is the fun part, no thinking involved yet. The trimming will involve the thinking and take some time. Take care as well.
I’ve been waiting for Ford Friday, you Mr. Spotty and the afternoon crew done it again. Can’t wait for it to go back together again, Stay Safe ✌🏽
Thanks for the support! Take care!
Dang Scott, first you cave in to the safety gestapo. Then the clean freaks! I guess Mr Spotty and Mr sawzall have a thing goin on behind your back! Lol have a great weekend!
You really need to be worried about my health when I start claiming Ford makes all the best vehicles! 😝
But using Mr. Sawzall on a Ford makes it all ok!
Good use of what you have. You show lots of creativeness since you cannot have all the tools you need all the time.
I apologize if this has been asked already. Are you going to "absorb" the wheelbase differences in the wheel arches? Dr Google has told me that the 65 is 108" & the 15 is 107.1" I ask because this is a "frame swap" that I have & am considering. Great content!
Damn just when I thought you had given up on this project and here it is can’t wait to see the end result
Haha, I never give up!
Absolutely amazing Scott...I’m sure I heard the brake shoes slipping on the 65 towards the end....oh those were your shoes...
That was the parking brake dragging. 😂
Great content Scott !
This type of project really keeps me interested and i can't wait for the next upload !
Good progress!👍

Scott, a drag racer would be glad to buy that roof section. Would make an awesome doorslammer. No issues with the title, either.
Mustangs must be going through some really rough and sad times. With all this social distancing and not being able to find crowds.
Great work . Mr.Spotty had no mishaps this week . Really
Think he’s going places.

Looks like a lot of resellable parts when it's cut up. Right quarter, roof, right side pillars and all the small pieces. Can't believe that glass didn't shatter!

quite the undertaking.. cant wait to see it done

Great video Scott! One step closer to getting the 1565 rolling!!! :-)
Great 1565 Mustang build!

Good work. What make/model is the two-tone car the 65 was parked next to? What tentative plans do you have for it?
Hi there just watching your videos Great content . Just a suggestion would you use a plasma cutter when cutting out rough pieces ?
nice video. just curious if using plasma cutter could make it easier :)
Good progress, until next time... 😀

Out in the woods behind my aunts house is an abandoned 1965 shelby gt.350 with very little rust damage

Your guns must be sore. Haha. Really interesting series. Love it.
Have you ever used a plasma cutter to cut these apart?
So from a VIN standpoint, is this a 2015 with a '65 wrapper, or a '65 with a 2015 foundation?
I had a Ford and I couldn’t figure out why it had a heated rear window. Until I had to push it one winter.
