The first attempt to merge the 1965 body and the 2015 chassis on the coyote Mustang project part 12

- In this video hopefully all of the previous questions will be answered and everyone will have a clear understanding of what is going on in this build. The 65 body will be completely gutted and we start some trimming on the 2015 chassis. I may also violate a few safety guidelines but would you really expect any less from me?

You really missed your calling as a comedian. Your deadpan delivery is perfect. Keeps me coming back every week.
Thanks, some people get it!
After awhile it is the only thing that keeps you sane dealing with vehicle repairs in the RUSTBELT.
@@vehcor most people do.
Wish I could double like this vid.
vehcor you should have played the Benny Hill theme 😂😂
It’s so satisfying seeing it all go smoothly in Timelapse with commentary. Love the entire series on this project
There’s a 50 year old man somewhere that’s always wondered what happened to his T-Bird that he lost in his moms mustang so long ago...
My first matchbox car was found in the sand at the end of a slide. I have been into cars ever since. 😂
I actually left my green Ferrari Matchbox in my mother's 1964 Maroon Grand Prix because my brother thought it was cool to smash all my matchbox cars with dad's mallet. But, dad traded in the 1964 Grand Prix on a 1969 Catalina. Many years later, I saw a Black 1964 Grand Prix in a Central Ohio bone yard. I checked it out for the memories … and I found my green matchbox Ferrari right where I hid it in that car.
True story. There's a 67 Gold GTO convertible out there that I dropped a Disney vinyl Haunted House record in the rear side glass when I was 6 years old in 1977. Always wondered about the person who eventually found that in there. They had to be like "How in the hell...." LMAO
I remember when I was a little kid, I lost a 1/64 scale toy International tractor with dual wheels in a rental van while visiting my Aunt. Always wondered what ever happened to it. I still kinda miss it and think about it some nights while trying to fall asleep.
I remember reading a story about someone buying a brand new car(50s?) and taking it back to service for a rattle in the rear. Everything checked out. The rattle persisted. Several service shops later, a bottle was found inside the quarter panel. In it, a note, that read "Rattles, don't it?".
Moral? People gonna people.
Wow, I’m awestruck. I didn’t know this was even possible. I get proud of myself when I fix an oil leak or repair a rust area on my junk cars. Then I watch your video and it makes me feel like I’m in kindergarten. I think I’ll go finger paint now. Thanks for sharing.
It’s not possible until it’s finished. Hopefully I’ll make it. Otherwise save me some finger paints! 😂
Congratulations on 100k! I’m loving this project, maybe I’ll be insane enough to try it myself some day.
Thanks for the support. Wait until I am done and I’ll let you know if it is worth it! 😂
@@vehcor great video....but you need some new gloves and you should paint it GT 500 grey
@@vehcor Worth it?? Yikes!!! You already know that you can NEVER get back all that you're putting into this project (and that's FINE! I love it! I had a 64-1/2 ragtop when I lived in MI)
My only query... I thought that pretty much EVERY single body panel for the classic Mustang is now available as a repro from places like NPD...
Wouldn't it have been easier to fit brand new tin onto the 2015?
Frankenstang it is. Whatever you call it it is going to be a wicked machine. It still amazes me how nice the sheet metal is on that car. Looking forward to the next episode. Take care.
I have found some surprises in the metal as I work on it but for a 55 year old car, she looks great!
Finally after all the cuts, it is starting to get a shape :) great work!
It gets closer every week!
I told my ex I was 'in-shape'... Round is a shape!
Currently the only project on ytb worth watching. U show every tiny bit, and thats awesome! Looking foward to see it finished. Brazil need it more crazyness like this .
Thanks for the support!
This project takes some serious guts. But I think I finally see where you're going.
There is a fine line between serious guts and complete stupidity. I walk that tight rope often. 😂
Love this guy and this build! Just the right amount of tech and sarcasm. RIP gloves😣
Thanks, some people get it, some don’t!
7:15 safety experts win. I prefer the safety squints method, when things come flying at your eyes you squint a little and boom your eyes are safe.
I add a measure of safety, safety squints behind safety glasses! 😂
Every time I watch. You inspire me to continue on a 1978 Corvette barn find. Heading to garage right now. Cheers, Jim
Make some videos so you can inspire me to finish my 82 Malibu wagon. 😂 Good luck on your project!
That was fun -can't wait to see you finish the merge on Frankenstang! I might suggest cobalt blue metallic - with a black convertible top!
The top was the best part on the 65. 😂
Fantastic build Scott, and being done the right way NOT hacked.
Thanks for the support!
100 comments in 30 minutes. I can't even imagine lol! Thumbs up from me Scott!
It gets a little busy around here on Friday! 😂Thanks for the support!
Love the channel great to see somebody with a sense of humour puts a smile on my face
Thanks, not everyone enjoys my humor. Luckily I do and that is what matters! 😂
The dry humor, i love it
Thanks, some people get it, some don’t!
Wow! Aggressive build. If anyone can pull it off, it is you. It will be a very unique Mustang.
ON Fords seam sealer is a structural frame member
So are the floor mats! 😂
also the piece of sand paper painted under the rear seat of my sisters 59 Merc and the C clamp still in the fender of a customers car at dads service center, the dealer could not determine why it had that clunk on corners.
When I took delivery, on my new Mustang Mach I, in Dec. of 1969 I discovered 1/2 a bushel basket of loose nuts, bolts and washers when I picked up the trunk mat. Curiosity caused me to pull the rear seats and rear carpet, where I found even more. I asked the final prep guy at the dealership if that was normal and he said that was a shift change car. The last guy working on that car emptied his apron, in the trunk, when the shift bell sounded. Quality goes in, before the name goes on !! FORD QUALITY.

You are doing a great job with this MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE. I know you have a great color. Thumbs up and thanks for sharing this build.
Thanks for the support!
Damn Man, if I'd have known you were working on the Ford this week, I'd have worn my mask!
Level A containment suit! lol
Such an ambitious project! Hats off to you for taking on a project most blokes would scoff at if you were to mention the idea to mates at the pub over a beer. And to take the time to film and share the process takes the cake. So looking forward to not only the finished product, but the coming videos documenting it. Well done! Keep it up! I NEED my Saturday morning vehcor fix now!
Name it "Hell-Enoar" Just to fugg with them.
Nice, I like it!
@@vehcor I wouldn't even risk it!
HIGHLY appreciate the fact that you shoot in 4K...even tho i use a 1440p Desktop monitor...the full screen image of 4K looks incredible in detail and sharpness.
EVERY car chanel on youtube should shoot in full 4K...this is SO much more entertaining to watch.
I own the rights to the name Frankenstang, I’ll be confiscating that car once you get it together
You can have the pile! 😂
B is for Build was wronged by the McDonald s of movie makers!
@SeaDooEric, I don't get it! 🤣🤣🤣
No I own the rights!! You get the car then I confiscate it from you!!

Thanks, it is available in my teespring store if you want your own!
Just look at all the fun you are having, awesome.
I’m actually having fun. You can tell, I was using my excited monotone voice! 😂
"There's three bolts and a nut on the rear bumper." ... Uh, no ... There's two nuts ... you forgot the one behind the impact gun ;-)
I’m usually the loose nut behind the wheel!
vehcor hahaha
I really have not found a more ambitious project on the internet considering you are doing all this by yourself. Can't wait until the finished project and I appreciate you as well for the quality of your videos as I can feel my brain growing watching you work...
"I'm into safety" while using vice grips to prevent the chains from falling off the forks of the frame rack lol.....(this from a guy who built a man platform out of a pallet for the forklift held on with c clamps lol)
The clamps were the safety. 😂
You have made my day working on mustang.
I do it when I have free time
Good evening Vehcor, It's Ford Friday once again & I'm getting worried about you! You're going to develop Ford lung if you keep taking on these rusty Ford projects 🤣
Great job as always.
Maybe the Ford lung will kill of the Rona! 😂
Was on a roof all day doing a compressor change out. Aaahhh.. its Friday.. oooooh look its Vehcor friday.. yeeeaahh..Scott's goona be working on the Mustang. Thanks for sharing as always. Be safe have a great weekend.
Oof, on a roof all day would not be too much fun in the heat! Still better than cold I suppose! Take care!
It's my job..heat or cold.. people want a conditioned area. It's where the equipment was.
"In my day, Ford was all we had.
So we walked a lot."
Haha best comment
I don't believe that. Your kidding.
My dad had a 1971 Ford Torino 351 2V Cleveland which he put 300,000 miles on it. He drove every where with that car. never one break down through all the times we traveled in that car. You know why his car never broke down is because my dad took care of it. Fix the problem before it happens. Changing the oil on time. My dad grew up on a farm which my grandpa taught my dad to check the oil before you drive it.
Or you could try a Dodge. They run long after you get sick of driving it 😀

That 200k Grand Am sure will make someone happy! 😂
I’d go with Canary Yellow for the color. Had a 62 Ranchero I wanted that color.
👍🏻
i had a space shuttle i wanted purple, but i scrapped it after 5-6 flights and besides that the paint burnt off after every atmospheric re-entry
Your a wizard at work! Wow, what a project. 👍
Frankenstang is good, but I also like "MUTTSTANG"
👍🏻
So much work, enjoying watching it progress, wide body is going to look ace, paint it red
So now we got an “E” word to add to our alphabet soup of what not to say. The 8 dirty words, S, P, C, F, C, M, T, N and now E! Color choice for Frankenstang is black with red interior.
Pretty soon our communication will be head nods. But not in an aggressive manor of course, you don’t want to offend anyone. 😂
Aggressively nods head in agreement... Ooooops, sorry
I agree. Black with red interior would be amazing.
So exciting! So close but yet so far! This ending was a total teaser.
Be prepared, lawsuits are coming, even making reference to the "E" word with a Mustang in the video may get your vehicles confiscated, and monetary compensation. The owner of the "E" word has expensive body work to keep herself in shape!
This really is my favourite RUclips channel, skill, imagination and humour... superb! RIP gloves, I had been wondering when you were going to bin them. Lol
Thanks, I was hanging onto the gloves to agitate the safety experts. I was wearing gloves as they recommended. Now they know to be more specific! 😂
Cool I was getting bored .....admit it scott you secretly love rust lol
I must love rust, I keep buying Fords! 😝
@@vehcor AND YOU LIVE IN ILLINOIS ! :-)
Congrats. I always look forward to your videos on Friday.
Thanks for the support!
Pushing counts!! Great videos....
Sweet! First drive, in the books! 😂
This is the way to do it. I question how I did this on a 1950 Bel-air to a 1985 Caprice. All done in my back yard, 2 cherry pickers, some steel scaffolding and a little determination. I manage to get the body within 1/8" of being perfectly square and even. This has to be one of the coolest builds I've seen in quite some time. Thanks for sharing this one with us.
Frankenstang is perfect! And I love that you decided wide body, can't go wrong there.
Project is going well.
Can't wait. I like the Frankinstang, color 69 Chevy Mediterranean Blue
Something I used to do you will probably scod me for.. when it comes to spot welds, I always used a uinibit or step drill bit. just don't drill the second layer the same step. Leave the outside bigger than the inside, you can then weld from the backside without drilling holes in the new panel...
Keep up the good work, you have a fan for life..lol
Thanks for the support. I do use the step drill bit sometimes but this goes so quick, I don’t mind.
Awesome video! CONGRATULATIONS on 100K Scott 👍👍
Thanks and thanks for the support!
Cool find on the little T-bird. Must have been a Ford family. Speaking of finding cash in cars. I guess I had my lucky Moment. About 20 years ago I was buying cars from the police impounds in GA. I bought a 88 Mercury Tracer for $65. Now the rules for the auction was you're buying them AS IS Where is. Including all of the contents. They usually came with a bunch of trash inside. So i decided to clean it out a few days later. When i lifted the back seat tucked up behind the back seat i found a roll of $100 dollar bills. 8 of them to be exact. And something else i won't mention here. Thanks police Impound! Free car Friday!
I used to pull 1985-1991 Grand Am consoles out at the junkyards. Each was good for $20+ in change. The e brake lever was the entrance to Narnia. Never found more than $150 in money though. I have found other valuables though.
Nice touch, can't wait to see it.
Thanks!
Looking forward to see your completed project. In case you wondering what people are talking about in the comments, "B for Build" also doing something similar to what you are doing by making a "E" version but got into trouble with the copyright owner and they took the car away before he can finish it. They even force him to take his videos down. Now he is doing again but doing a wasteland version. You may want to check out his videos.
I jumped up excited when I saw you posted today. Can’t wait to see what the end result. Keep it up man.
Thanks for the support!
I love Frankenstang! That’s perfect! Can’t wait for the color choices to vote for!
Once it is together we can decide on a color. I had a few choices but got some good ones suggested.
vehcor so long as it isn’t Nardo gray, or some granny color like silver, maroon, or brown you should be good lol
The best part of Friday afternoon.
Thanks!
Love the content as always Scott! Keep it up. Your sarcasm is hilarious and I wish I had your knowledge about these builds. Can’t wait to see the final product.
Thanks, my knowledge is a “learn as you go” thing. This is outside my normal wheelhouse but I have learned a lot. Thanks for the support!
Nice work Vehcor and good proyect
Thank you!
Love the build. Great way to lift and drop that body without a lift.
Thanks, necessity is the mother of invention as they say. lol
Just found your channel. This is an ambitious project. I’ll be watching. 👍🏻
Glad to have you with us. I'm no stranger to ambitious projects but they are usually wrecks. This one is just something to occupy my free time.
I see Mr. Spotty is still doing his own stunts. I am looking forward to the future videos in this build! Your attention to the details and pointing out the areas for design improvements are always the highlights of every video. In my opinion, seam sealer hides a multitude of sins.
I love the wide body kit idea man! cant wait to see it!
There is some work to do to get there but it gets closer everyday. Thanks for watching!
The body leveller is a great idea!
Wow that's going to look outstanding. Good luck.
Nice job on the Mustang sir!
Thanks!
Can't wait to see it done great video enjoyed watching keep up the great work

First drive in the books 🤣🤣 well done sir! See ya next friday!
Yes, one of the advantages of building a Ford, running is optional on a test drive. lol
It felt like watching the NASA space Shuttle being put together. Thank you for the laughs. Thank you for the knowledge.

It's getting exciting now, can't wait for first permanent weld between the two, Reminds me of the scene during the grease lightning lightning.
Still lots to do before the first weld! After that, it will go quick!

Hey age and tenacity are paying off for you. Great work Scott, despite being covered in old and new Ford.
I like your approach in doing it right, not fast like other channels. Not rushing to complete it for some show or trying to flex your power of metal and mechanical prowess down our throats.
Great job in all, you've come a long way and I suspect you'll be around for a lot more time. Keep up the good work.

All stuff that didn’t bother me until RUclips came along. 😂
Glad I stumbled across this channel, will look forward to the build. I haven't had time yet to watch the prior episodes, especially interested in the width as I believe the new generation are about 3 inches wider than the 65. Enjoying it so far.
AAANNNDD you addressed that width difference in closing with the wide body kit solution. Glad you're not calling it the E name!!!
Wow! You are patient!
Voting For Charcoal Gray or Metallic Silver. Another EXCELLENT Video!! Congratz on 100K 😎.
I like those choices!
1956 Corvette arctic blue.
With or without white scalloped area! Keep up the good work.
A GM color on a Ford? Are you trying to kill the Ford fans? They struggle with my digs/truths as it is! 😂
@@vehcor I know, i know... it's one of my favorite color's on a car. I had it on my Bricklin.

It's coming together! I'd like to think you've got the worst behind you, but I bet the worst is still to come. Can't wait to see finished product.
For color I think a sky blue and white scheme would look great.

Congrats on 100k, love your videos! Always inspires me to actually work on my car projects instead of letting them sit 😂
Thanks for the support! Glad they help. Sometimes making the videos is what motivates me!
Space is always valuable, at the jobsite and on the project. I think your theme of white won't look bad with the black wheels.
I think white with black wheels would look good, personally.
Nice work, I wish all these viewers with their stupid comments would realize you started this trend and will have the best finished product.
Love your skills and humor thanks.
Vehcor scrape, scrape, and scrape some more! Finds little T-Bird. Waiting on the Knome with massive cash!😂😂🤣
Scrape, scrape, scrape, rant, scrape scrape..... lol
The youtube algorithm brought me here, but I love it, I'm planning something similar with a 68 Charger, but this is badass
Great show. You remind of Norm Abrahms the wood guy.
He would be building a Mustang out of wood! 😂 woodworking is actually my second favorite hobby after cars.
You almost started to mention possible colors for FrankenStang. My last Mustang was a 1967 Shelby GT350. It had crash damage to the passenger rear quarter starting right at the back of the door. The rear end was pushed back and the rear frame torque box was ripped off of the floor. Even the top of the rear quarter was pushed in a bit, but the rear window wasn't damaged. It took quite a while to repair the crash damage, but when it was repainted it's original Candy Apple Red the car looked like it was brand new. So, 67 Ford Candy Apple Red would be my color of choice for FrankenStang.
Perfect Job like you allways do. I hope that wb-kit is not any fiber or plastic. Metal is the one for this car.
Thanks, the Warner Brothers kit will be metal for sure! 😂 They actually don’t make a kit that I am aware of so it will all be custom fab work.
