Your growth over the years is unreal. You have gotten to the point where you not only make money, but get paid to build a car that you wanted. Excellent work dude
And he FINALLY got to build this Mustang swap after all the Eleanor bs lol AND took it to SEMA. Straight flex back in that family’s face 💪🏼 you’re 100% right about the growth in the channel and he’s done it without changing really much at all about the contents of the content, the builds, the format, really there’s not a whole lot that’s changed. If he has changed something then it was out of necessity and done better.
What’s crazy to me is all the cars pretty much just sit in the garage afterwards. Simple math alone proves they don’t get driven all that often atleast. I don’t blame him for keeping them, it would be hard for me to walk away from them also
100% I've been saying this forever. I want a 1967 convertible body on a modern Mustang GT. I finally found the Exact classic I wanted, but upon sitting in it and driving it, I realized I'd have to basically upgrade everything and still probably barely have a car I'd actually drive.
WOW! What an amazing build! Being from that era of 1967-68 (I was 16 in 68), those have always been my favorite Mustangs. I did own a 68 notchback many years ago. It was a wreck and paid all of $400 for it. Spent a year fixing it (inline 6 with three speed), but sold it once I got it going. Of course, looking back now, I should have never gotten rid of it! But don't we all say that? Again, great build, fun to watch you guys (before SEMA) building and and seeing the finished product!
That is the way to go for someone wanting a new Mustang GT. Classic look with that new car smell so to say. My first car was a 67 coupe. Bought it when I was 15 for 950 bucks. Kept it 10 years, had new rear quarter panels front fenders floor pan front and rear valance and a decent paint job. Looking back I wish I would have done a Shelby drop and added a 5 speed. I would have had a lot more fun with that. It didn't handle the curves very well the way it was. This is a beautiful car, thanks for a good show.
40k in parts but what about labor? Three guys working, conservatively, 12 hours a day for 30 days is close 1100 man hours. Figure $150/hour, if you find a fabricator willing to do it for tlhat little, adds another $165k. Now I'm sure he doesn't have that much in labor in it but the average diy guy, would between buying tools and hiring out stuff beyond their skill set, certainly would. I appreciate the breakdown but think that final number of $40k is extremely under reported.
Yup my first swag was well over 150k at standard shop labor rates with at least 1,000hrs billed, plus he bought that huge 3d printed is that costed out to? Smh at least he showed if you did it right and a shop started doing builds like this more than 1 at a time? It could make a turn key 65-70 restomod built on a nice s550 donor sub 100k all in for a simpler build. I bet that kind of deal could find at least 3-5,000 interested buyers a year. Depending on being willing to ship them anywhere? 🤔

It was one of the best builds forsure , stressful time crunch ( usual of course) , crazy mods, huge drive, finished at SEMA , all very entertaining. 10/10
Don't get me wrong... I love your channel. But you drive me nuts doing last minute SEMA builds every year. It's amazing what you do in 30-60 days, but I would like to see what you could actually do in a year. Perfect the car. Do other content builds while you are waiting on parts. But do a year long SEMA build not being rushed to get finished. I have made comments before... You drive me nuts. I know what you are capable of, I want to see a project that you do that is not always rushed.
Nice to see the material costs, I'm guessing labor costs for your team working on this for 30 days would be $50,000. All in all a $90,000 brand new "1967 Mustang Fastback" is probably not too bad considering what you'd have to do to achieve the same performance from an original.
@@BridgeGuitar I guestimated by using the labor rate near me of $100ish per hour for an average of 2 guys doing 8 hour days for the 30 days which is $48,000.

That fusion of new base and the Eleanor body handcrafted so beautifully by your artisan team is a sight to behold. Wishing you guys all the good health so you wont stop making this beauty and bad boy!

That car right there is why I love the S197's and the S550's too.. When you look at them from the side they all have that beautiful fastback look from 65 to 67.. I know the S197's look even closer in the front with a modern touch. But my S550 too...
This is amazing. I miss the 2021 gt i had but needed a truck. I would happily buy this piece of art as a replacement that fulfills the dream car void of a 60’s fastback but getting all the power and handling of a new s550.
I'd really like to see you take your time on a build. I love the fast pace builds, for sure! But I would love to see you start next year's SEMA build in January and see what you can produce. Just my 2 cents. You do you.
All of those pieces that you had laying around the shop whispered to be used this way 👍 Like a jest in your head that slowly turned into a solid vision. Sometimes ya just got to do it cuz you are so curious to see the outcome…. and because you can. This was very cool to see. The final car looks amazing and I’m sure it drives like a new car. 🙌👏👏👏

Great video, it's amazing that you could buy all the body parts to create a 67 Mustang. In theory people could do this with a much cheaper donor car and still look very cool.
Maybe add subtle flares to get some wheels with more dish. Also, hack the front control arms and move the front wheels forward. You'd add some caster but I'm sure it'd be fine. Not sure if MM makes offset arms for this gen, I know they do for older mustangs.
I love body swap videos and I feel your work is more precise and VFM since you used a modern mustang bought cheap and used old car reproduced body panels which saves time and effort
“One of the materials we bought for this project cost $100, but we didn’t use all of it, so I’m gonna call it $30…”. This type of valuation goes on through his entire video. Plus he brushes aside the costs of parts he, “had laying around” as if they never costed him anything at one point. You can’t have it both ways. But he does this constantly throughout the video.
Chris, did you ever see the “Volgatti” done by some talented dudes from Belarus? They use cnc cut building foam to make fiber glass molds. Might be a cool technique to look into also. Might be more efficient than 3d printing for more complicated/larger parts. Plus: the volgatti is just a cool build (albeit work in progress)
I have not seen the Volgatti build (added to my list), but I've seen severeal use CNC to cut styrofoam and buildingfoam to create epic parts. Mike Patey have a lot of this in his build of "Skrappy". (Cub airplane totaly rebuilt in mainly carbon fibre).

18:31 i can’t get over the look of that duck bill wrap. It looks like a sticker and not like paint from that angle on the flat section right above the tail lights. Is that normal with wraps?
Man I know how much work went into building that car. I'm no builder or anything like that just a auto enthusiast with an engineering degree. I just finished my total build of my 67 gt 500 I bought as a teenager in 1982. 18 months of pure hell, replaced all rusted panels, full frame, IRS rear suspension, pro-touring front suspension, (thanks to the roadster shop) mini-tubs shaved bumpers. I done some modern accents and interior, I hate chrome so all accent parts were done in satin black. I done most of the work myself w/ some help from my wife and daughter except for the paint and interior.(A mans gotta know his limitations) Top off with a 1000hp built aluminator w/ a Whipple & a T56. I've been wanting to do it for a long time just to see if I could, it's just for me and my for my daughter when I'm outta here. (My son isn't into cars he drives a Tesla. 🤮 I don't consider that a car, more like a oversized phone charger) I'm only 57 so I'm not going anywhere anytime soon, she'll have to wait awhile. I've always hated that Elenore look I think the 60s gt500 and the gt350 look way better. Good for you keep doing you.
redemption build came out excellent. car looks fantastic, sounds fantastic, drives fantastic. thats 3 for 3! and it wasnt a 6 figure car all said and done. 4 for 3 haha
This is my dream car! I currently have a 65 coupe and a 2020 gt and I would love to have a newer mustang with the old school flavor on it just like this!!!
Anyone watching unless they are a moron has to appreciate your creativity and that of your team. What struck me was you actually disclosed your costs. You have created a one of one and that has to be factored in. Towards the end you gave comparisons with other years of cars. If you were to sell the car at auction, anyone wanting an exclusive car would have to pay a huge premium. Never underestimate the value of B is for Build.
That's insane dude. Really cool work but I'm sad you didn't make some extended walk around at the end of the video, to be able to enjoy the masterpiece.
If you decide to build anymore Mustangs. I fully recommend you source everything from 3rd party manufacturers. From super performance chassis, to all body panels. That would be wild. A true 2024 clone build. Without anything from Ford except drive train. 👍
The only thing that looks off with the proportions is the rear behind the wheel quarters, the side and front splitters... should have kept all three of the factory proportions. The rear quarter makes it look incomplete. As if some body pieces are missing.
Outstanding video series featuring my all time favorite year Shelby. I'm wondering if that OEM gas cap location could be a cool spot for a reverse light?!? Glad you 2 made it home safely 🙏
I have idea for that gas cap in rear panel. Use it to make permanent plug for battery tenter. Or if something crazy put air jack attachment point under the cap.
The fact that almost no other RUclipsr even mentioned this beautiful car, shows exactly why you guys are my favourite automotive channel.
Welcome Back!!! GREAT Car - Fantastic Work!!!
You are right….I bought a 2022 Mustang GT, 5 Liter, 6 manual…one of the best/fun cars I have ever owned 😎😎😎
Amazing work, and beautiful car! Love the channel!
redemption build came out excellent. car looks fantastic, sounds fantastic, drives fantastic. thats 3 for 3! and it wasnt a 6 figure car all said and done.
What a great idea. Looks of the old with all the comfort and conveniences of today. Bravo
I watched every video of the build man and I think looks great. Keep providing great content love you guys have a good night
That's really amazing work guys! Great Job!
Looks like a champ! You forgot to add the cost of, what, 6 sheets of paper towel in the tail lights 😂. Look forward to the next one.
The grey racing stripes really set this build off
That's insane dude.
Amazing build, well done sir!
Crazy build, like usual! Are you getting back on the Merci now that SEMA is over?
Great work! The team made it come together. God bless
This is what people actually want a a new car. Old school styling outside with all the latest tech inside.
OMG, You're awesome and what you did is stunning and out of the box we need more people like you
It’s the perfect build guys absolutely incredible
Oh my!!! If I was a rich person I would commission this build from you!!! How amazing guys lol One love from UK xx
Exceptional Build Quality...on this video. Bravo!
The only thing that looks off with the proportions is the rear behind the wheel quarters, the side and front splitters... should have kept all three of the factory proportions. The rear quarter makes it look incomplete. As if some body pieces are missing.
Glad this 'not Eleanor' build finally got done. awesome!
Outstanding video series featuring my all time favorite year Shelby.
I'm wondering if that OEM gas cap location could be a cool spot for a reverse light?!?
Glad you 2 made it home safely 🙏
A modern vehicle with a classic look OMFG that is a dream and I want one
I have idea for that gas cap in rear panel. Use it to make permanent plug for battery tenter. Or if something crazy put air jack attachment point under the cap.
The fact that almost no other RUclipsr even mentioned this beautiful car, shows exactly why you guys are my favourite automotive channel. Putting actual effort into something and building something unique is what its all about. Not fixing some badly damaged car but turning a damaged car into something completely different and better.
Those stripes really were the icing on the cake
Absolutely beautiful and unbelievable how quickly you guys pulled this off. Kudos to the whole BIFB team!! ❤ and what a fantastic daily this would make!😅
This would be my dream type of car build. The old style with the new goodies.
It would be interesting to see this parked next to an authentic Shelby just to see if its noticeable
