Building a Dog Run Fence for these Pups!

- Introducing Hansel! The newest member of our family. We rescued him from El Paso, Texas and he is just as cute as can be! Doofie and Hansel get along great and play play play all day long! I built a real fence for the dog run with a gate so it's really easy to wrangle these two. Enjoy!

Doofie has a new playmate and brother! So adorable together - Hansel is precious...love his ears! He doesn't seem to know what to do with Gus though. Oh, and great fence and gate too. You have great taste and imagination!
Judging by the line down Hansel’s back, I’m thinking Ridgeback mix. His face looks almost like a skinny mastiff. Adorable addition to the family.

Ben, you did a fine job on the dog run. Me and my wife have two dogs ourselves. Both were rescued from a animal shelter. If you have one dog, you gotta get another so they have a playmate.
I agree! While they may fight and get on each other’s nerves, they always have each other to play with...all day long haha

From his coloring it could be an Rhodesian Ridgeback known for hunting LIONS in Africa . Now that I'm retired I always wanted one it's a beautiful dog when full grown
Carmine Riganti I rescued a puppy at about 8 weeks old that looked identical to your new puppy. Now she’s about 3 years old and her floppy ears stand straight up. She’s part German Shepherd part Rhodesian Ridgeback and She has a little boxer in her too. She mostly looks like a shepherd sans the dark brown and black that they typically are. She’s fully grown and she’s only about 70 pounds. She’s very playful still and she’s pure muscle so she’s incredibly strong. Her name is Cayman since we rescued her while we were on vacation in the Cayman Islands. She too was left in a box behind a dumpster. She has completely changed my life and I couldn’t imagine not having her. Best of luck!

Oh so glad you made Hansel part of the pack! I think any DIY vid is always better with some cute fur kids running in them. Enjoyed the fence info as I'm going to try and tackle something similar. Thanks for rescuing that little guy, I have five rescues myself. Life is better when shared with fury ones.

He looks a bit like a german shepherd mutt, maybe some boxer in there with the coat colour. I'm sure Doofie loves his new brother.
We have a similar dog to your new one. His name is Tank and he is a Yellow Lab/German Shepard mix. Your dog looks a lot like ours, except ours was a lot darker when he was a puppy and lightened up the older he grew.

We have a little guy that looks a lot like Hansel. We didn't know what kind of dog he was either until a trainer pointed us to a breed we had never heard of called Black Mouth Cur. Google it and see if that fits with little Hansel.
Strangely enough we had our vet say the same thing! Had never heard of it before either. That’s what we think Hansel is, though the DNA test we did doesn’t recognize that breed
My puppy looks very much like Hansel, except without the darker line down the back. My puppy is a Labrador cross Bull arab.

Have you heard of Eco Wood Treatment (apply it once, supposed to last a lifetime) and Eco Wood Stain (lasts about 5 years and has different color options). Of course, I have no idea what brand of stain you are considering using on your new and beautiful dog run fence and gate after your new puppy grows out of his teething stage, just thought I’d mention them, as I understand they are eco-friendly products and may be a lot safer for your beloved doggies!
At the end of the video you show the cat watching Hansel. I noticed the corner bead protection on the hallway. Did you make those?
I didn’t make those. They were part of the house when we moved in

sucks when people abandon animals try to find somebody that will want it and love it and take care of it. If you don't want to do that at least take it to Humane Society so it has a chance. I love how much you love your dogs and how much they love you.
