- A Clearwater woman was startled to hear a loud crash overnight, but she was even more surprised when she saw the culprit: A 10-foot alligator that had crashed its way into her kitchen.
It was around 3:30 a.m. when Mary Wischhusen had gotten up to go to the bathroom. That’s when she came face to face with the intruder.
The alligator had apparently smashed through her floor-to-ceiling windows, then thrashed its way around her condo, knocking over furniture and damaging her walls.

We have a large group in our garden - they seem pretty happy over there and not interested at all to sneak inside.The type we have are known to invade homes, but ours are quite settled in the garden, so I wonder if those lizards do it only if they have no other "normal" place to live due to human infrastructure.

Due to escaped or abandoned pets, it's likely that the same species of geckos you have in Goa are also in Florida, although there is also one species of gecko that is actually native to Florida.
