    Sorry, I'm commenting as I'm watching lol. Love you boob mugs, and I'm sure he will be so touched when he receives too. What a special thing to do.
    Georgous test tile results too, some stunning combos there! I've only done upright test tiles myself but now realising the benefit of doing some flat with texture as I am starting to do more plates and always at a loss how to glaze with combos. Thanks as always for the inspiration.

    Oh Sarah you made me laugh so much today!!! Yes I'm obsessed with Chips but there is only one glaze I've saved in pots of three sizes 😂. It's one I use lots and had too much to fit in one pot, so took advantage of storing them in three pots in different sizes. But I didn't do that intentionally, that is beyond obsessed 😂😂😂 however I do have a lots of pots in individual colours.. I know....totally addicted.
    Love your combo with the black underside, goes so well with the chips inside! Very chic!! ❤

      @Lisa Dewyngaert - I fired it to cone 5.5 to 6 actually. I didn't realise Elements was low fire - hilarious! No wonder I got such an interesting result. I really should read the instructions on the glaze Pot- but wouldn't that be boring??😆

    That Amber Ash is AMAZING! Can you let us all know what clay body you used. Im in the States and actually have a small bottle of AA and would love to know if you used it on porcelain, white stoneware or maybe even a buff colored speckled? TIA for ANY info you can share! Thank You LOVE ALL YOUR VIDEOS!!!! OH, just got to the part with the "boob" cup....1st: its AWESOME and 2nd: Congratulations on 10 years! Thanks so much Marie. I use PB103 white stoneware for throwing as it's the closest to porcelain without being porcelain (which is tricky!). I am grateful to have survived for 10 years post breast cancer and hope by sharing that women will check their own boobs! I will be forever grateful to Avi Agrawal for his skill in saving my life. 😊

    I was able to find that set of 12 new glazes in Spartanburg, South Carolina. I cannot wait to try them. I found a 6 week handbuilding class and I am making a baby nightlight house. The teacher made us all make a coil pot so I made a shot glass. It was dwarfed by all of the large bowls the other students made. I used a leaf stamp on the side. Then I got busy cutting out my house!

These three bowls were going to head into the trash bin, but I heard you whispering "nothing lost if you try REglazing them". and I am over the moon with the results. Thanks for all your tips, tricks and tutorials. and your ADVICE! now to work on this glaze hoard I have before buying some of that new glaze that you shared with us. Hugs to ya friend!

    So happy I have found your channel - love the test tiles. I was wondering what brushes you use for glazing. I’m not having much luck getting an even covering and I’m a tad jealous of the beautiful rich colours that keep appearing out of your kiln.

    Lovely Sarah, would you please share which solar system you use. Is it only for your pottery studio or whole house? I want one just for my studio and I don't know where to begin.
    Thank you.

    • @thepotterycorner
      @thepotterycorner  Год назад +1

      Hi Kathy
      We've had solar on the house for about 10 years now and this feeds into the National Grid as well as running the electricity of the house and studio. We had the panels fitted when IKEA used to do them but I don't think they do them now. The solar power really helps with the cost of running the kilns - especially as the electricity costs are just so high at the moment. Hope that helps. Sarah

    Was the bowl glazed in Amber Ash/Glowing Embers fired at cone 6 or cone 06? Was this on low fire clay or mid range clay? Were the test tiles fired at same cone as the bowl? If so, why such a difference?

    • @thepotterycorner
      @thepotterycorner  Год назад

      Hey Shelly and thanks for watching. The Amber Ash was fired to cone 6 (1212 degrees centigrade) which is my usual stoneware temperature 🌡. My clay is a high fire stoneware called Earthstone Original which has a white clay body. Test tiles fired to same regime but are flat so didn't see how the glaze would move on a vertical surface. Very interesting results! 😁
