"Man out with camera" is exactly the sort of videos I prefer to watch. It's why I subscribed to your channel over 4 years ago. It's why I watch the same channels week after week, and it's what I do on my own channel. I go out, take pictures, make video. Give us more of that, Henry.
RUclips should be a place to express yourself, not to tickle the algorithm following other people's output. Keep doing what you're doing. It's absolutely you.
"A man having a grand day out, out with his camera" ... you make the videos you feel enthusuastic about Henry, and the viewers will come. Thanks for another grand day out.
Keep them coming. I wouldn't change a thing about the format. Spontaneity is king and I feel like I'm trekking out there with you. Your enthusiasm is what gathered me in in the first place and it is indeed infectious.
Thanks Henry. Just stay as you are. I like your enthusiasm as well as the locations. I don’t know about the statistics, but when I see a title such as “7 thinks to change” or “ do this and be like a pro”, I don’t waste my time opening it.
Do what you enjoy Henry, be honest and yourself. It is not all about the video content it is also about you! Your followers enjoy the video's but also and I would guess a lot more than 50% follow and watch because they enjoy you. Keep doing what you think and want to do, the true supporters will remain, watch and be loyal. Most of all ENJOY and worry not...!
Definitely noticed the recent videos are "hiking with a bit of photography", rather than the older ones more focused on photo techniques. Still look forward to every Thursday, because you take me to places I cannot go myself.
My wife and I have been avid followers for the last year or so and enjoy everyone of your videos. We've noticed the definite shift in the format of your RUclips content over the last few eeeks and we feel that the changes you've made have been for the good. Your natural enthusiasm shines through as ever, but your broader and honest commentary are very positive. As aspiring photographers of the landscape, it's been really helpful to see your struggles as well as your successes as you are demonstrating the very same thoughts and feelings of o doubt most people watching your channel who pursue photography. We recently moved to Scotland from Norfolk, so we're fortunate to have inspiration pretty much outside our front door,. But, through following your adventures, we know that the most fabulous of landscapes are not always great photographic subjects for whatever reason, or that we ourselves may not feel particularly particularly inspired from time to time, and that's perfectly okay. Keep up your brilliant channel doing whatever you feel is right for you, because it does reach out to people.
I like seeing your little adventures and seeing the photos you get out of it, regardless of location, regardless of photo quality. I simply enjoy seeing you get out there with your camera. Period. Just keep making the content that you like. I’m not going anywhere.
I think if you go out to create for the sake of creating, then there is a risk that you lose the buzz, so I would say, do what you want to do and work your videos around that Henry. Today is is a good example in that we get to share a relatively new experience with you (granted its and abridged version of your day out) and in that time many of us (including me) are seeing somewhere different. Loved that image too with the really intense light on the fells against the dark foreboding sky
Love your approach... like you said, a guy out photographing, doing what he loves to do. I come to you channel because I can relate to you just being a guy out photographing what he loves. UBU Henry!!
Keep going Henry, still my favourite photography chanel always inspires me to get out with my camera albeit not fel walking alas. But I think when we like a chap or lass we tend to stick there. Your enthusiasm for photography and landscape will continue to inspire many more present and future generations of photographers 👌👍
Watching your videos makes me want to grab my camera and run out the front door... then I look around and realize I don't have these beautiful mountains and vistas. love watching these videos.
Hi Henry. This type of video is exactly why I subscribed to your channel a good while ago. It shows your passion for the area or locations that you love and enjoy being in plus an insight to the photo opportunities you see on the hike. Carry on mate as I feel we get to see the real Henry out in his favourite environment. All the best Karl
At 13.35, the walking track snaking back up and along the hill. You didn't get camera out, proving we all see different things and opportunities. Love the videos.
Your videos are a breath of fresh air. You have a wonderful way to taking us along on your adventures. Keep doing what you love, and how you love doing it.
I so enjoy your videos because you take the viewer among with you and share your appreciation of nature as well as your enthusiasm for photography. Also, I like that your videos aren’t over-produced -they feel personal and serendipitous. By the way, I thought your first photo was quite brilliant, especially because of the inclusion of the dark clouds.
You are at your most creative when you enjoy what you are doing. This will result in high quality content that we, the viewer, enjoy and find informative. Keep up the good work and hi from across the Solway.
I’m a fan of your style of both videos and the photography you present. Keep doing what you enjoy as we will always follow your entertaining and informative style.
Hi Henry! I'm actually the bloke you met at the top! It was great to meet you and to be introduced to your photography, the videos around the lakes are a great break from city life 😊
Still enjoyed every bit of it Henry…it’s real life isn’t it? Sometimes there’s an epic shot, sometimes just one for the memory and other days you come home with nothing but enjoyment of the day out.
Sometimes the best shots are behind you! Thanks for another great vlog Henry, I love your honesty about the photography game, it's not always epic photogenic scenery but the enjoyment is more about being outdoors. Just keep doing what you enjoy!
Henry, this is awesome content. I have noticed the change. One thing remains constant, your images are excellent, but the true magic is your love and enthusiasm for being out in nature, hiking the Wainwrights, capturing these amazing images and, bringing us along for the journey. Well done mate 🙌🙌
Keep hiking Henry your videos are more than photography they are about getting out there and enjoying yourself, clearing your head and as a bonus you take some photos, I've been out before and later on viewing my shots they've all been crap, but I've had a wonderful day out, so keep them coming
You and Ian Worth are both my favourite to watch on RUclips. Always feel like im there with you and it's both inspiring and relaxing. These videos lately of you vlogging, talking to us and hiking are brilliant. Definitely different and refreshing. Rather than cutting straight to a location with a composition talking about camera setting. Lol sorry bit of a mouthful that. Take care pal.
I completely agree with many of the comments below. I subscribed to your channel because I love the landscapes you love and I particularly like that you are so good at conveying your emotion when in those beautiful and dramatic locations. I didn't particularly enjoy the "5 things photographers should stop doing" sort of videos that you have done recently, so I am very happy to hear you say that you're done with them. Landscape first, photography second - that's what you do best 👏
I love seeing your adventures. Since I can't travel as much as you can, your adventures let me take little trips with you and enjoy the scenery of another country. I will continue to join in on your adventures as you post them and enjoy your awesome personality, cool landscapes, and amazing photos. Cheers.
I have found, staying true to ourselves is one of life's biggest and most rewarding lessons to learn and one you should never feel the need to apologise for but rather embrace! I have always loved your honesty and integrity as you share your 'all' in your videos with us, it's honorable - and I bet your mum is proud 😊 As a newbie, I appreciate it when you say you sometimes find it hard.
Always enjoy your videos Henry. Your authentic and your passion for photography and the great outdoors is infectious. Looking forward to visiting the Lake District next month.
I look forward to every Thursday cause you put your videos up, I've learnt so much from watching you and I enjoy the adventures you take us on. Keep them coming
Just love your adventures climbing the Wainwright’s, Henry! Bland or not, it’s of interest to this Aussie as we have nothing like it around where I live. Keep up the banter too, you’re not just speaking to yourself, but to hundreds of viewers, once video is posted😊 Keep enjoying your walks, cause I’m enjoying them and your creativity too.🇦🇺
Henry, thanks for sharing the adventure... I learn more by seeing the beauty that you see (and shoot) in God's creation than a dozen videos on aperture, ISO, noise and gear. How many summits still to climb?
I’ll always watch your content because they entertaining and also educational. To be honest I just enjoy watching the adventures and ultimately the photography
tbh i haven’t noticed anything different still love watching your videos seeing where your heading ect your enthusiasm for what u do is second to none Keep up the good work young man 👍
G'Day Henry, Just do what you like doing the real "You" shines through when you do that. I am sure we all love what you do :). I know I do! When you do "you" I feel your pain and anguish and your delight and pleasure. Thanks for all your efforts.
Oh the struggles of photography. I'm always struggling to create new content to engage the viewer. Recently added to my kit the Nikon Z30 for vlogging and the DJI RS3 Mini Gimble. One thing I found out after the purchase was I can now create moving timelapses. So something new to try to see if it gets more viewers to my channel. Don't get me wrong as the main point is the photography, but yes the bleak days makes it hard to get inspired. Still good to see you out and about and putting in the effort.
On a Tuesday I'm looking for your videos....what I'm trying to say is, do more! I enjoy them, it allows me to see this scenery vicariously through you when I can't get out and see it for myself living down in flat old Hampshire.
I really appreciate your videos, thanks for making the effort! I started watching you recently because I’ve just gotten my first full frame camera ever, and I appreciate the technical and artistic advice you give. But also, I’m two years in a new city without having gotten out of town to explore the countryside very much. I like how you balance your goals of photography and your enjoyment of the trekking, it seems like the two interests energize each other, and you’re inspiring me to work towards the same thing for myself. Cheers!
I love this style of video, it feels more real. As for doing the Wainrights one at a time, I admire your discipline. I love a ridge walk and the Lakes have the best ridges in the UK IMHO. I'd never be able to come down off a top and ignore a long ridge-top path like the one you had there but it inevitably would mean doing more than one Wainright in a day. I love the purity of your concept but I'd never be able to stick it out.
You go out with your camera, we follow you 😊 Henry, could I please request a video on focus point (where to focus for lanscape), with and without a subject.
Always enjoy your videos and your honesty, casted your video to the TV tonight, feels like I'm there with you. Keep up the good work. P. S I also like your adventure videos were you include some hints and tips.
I enjoyed the video as usual Henry. Go for it mate, do what you want to do. I will still watch your video's regardless. I think that you will give everyone a chance to see a different side to your content if that makes sense. Look forward to the next one mate.
Henry good decision, really enjoy your videos and had noticed there was less emphasis on taking photos. Let’s be honest, if you’re not going to enjoy doing the videos to a formula then that will show and that’s the point people will stop watching/following. Thank you for your honesty.
Welcome to my part of the world Henry; u could nearly see my house from the top if Dent wasn’t in the way 😂. It’s a bit different scenery from the dramatic central lakes but as u say, remote, bleak but beautiful in its own way. Makes u look for compositions.
If you try to make content which does not inspire you, it will show. Your viewers would dwindle based solely on that. So, if your channel was going to dwindle, it would be so much better to be making the best, most exciting to you videos you can, and folks either like who you are and where you are coming from, or they don't. But the whole time you are genuine and genuinely you. Personally, I don't think you have to worry. I think your viewers are made up of people who really do like you for being you; honest and genuine, down to earth and caring. Not to mention the beautiful photos and very useful advice and explanations. Keep on being, Henry Tuner. That is who I watch and why I watch and why I am subscribed and why I have your calendar on the way...again. Cheers!
You said there are 214 Wainwrights, but you didn’t explain why they have that classification. Most people will probably know, but there will be those that don’t. Lovely walk as always and some beautiful images. (But I would like to see a few more if possible) Keep up the good work👍
There you go Henry a new twist to your videos. You should get sponsorship from Tesco and advertise their meal deals. We can look forward not only to your photos but to see what meal you bring with you
I really like your videos lately. I mean I liked the ones before too, but the new ones are class! As a wheelchair user, I think it's great that you take me out to places that I can't go myself 😊. I have a question Henry: do you use the action 4 more than the Pocket 3 in your videos? For example when you walk with your "selfie" stick, which dji is mounted to it? I think the Pocket 3 is great, but the missing waterproof really bothers me. Your footage looks great, so I wondered which camera you used.
This is the best bit of advice you’ll get all month and I can sum it up in two words…. “Cheese triple” Knocks spots off the chicken 😂 Lovely shots as usual 👍🏻
Hey Henry, You do You mate. RUclips is killing peoples creativity by pushing them to make loads of the same click bait crap. I'd much rather watch an enthusiastic photographer like you with your travels in the UK than a lot of the other RUclipsrs all following each other to Iceland, the Faroe's, Svalbard etc etc.
Henry, I've enjoyed your recent videos hiking in the Lake District. I wonder if you plan another Autumn woodland shoot. The images you captured and shared with us last year were stunning and I hope to see what this year brings.
Sorry for the late reaction, I didn't get to watch earlier. We've been to Austria for a week last week (where I got to photograph snowy mountains, and for the very first time for me also the Northern Lights, and right away with mountains! How awesome is that??), so I didn't get to watch it sooner. I love these kinds of videos, and I don't think the first image is boring at all, I like it a lot!
Great video, great to see some reality. If you want some more reality start bagging Birketts, some of those really test your enthusiasm 😀.. I notice your backpack, it has a really wide waistband and I imagine it takes a lot of the weight off the shoulders? What make is it? I cannot take much weight on my left shoulder due to ICD implanted on that side.
Have you saved your GPS tracks on all the Wainwrights? That's a little side hobby of mine. I download an offline map and walk every path on the page. A project on the scale of yours would produce a nice map to print out!
Great 'real' video and 'real' thoughts on a very different landscape than your norm. One thing I must say is, is that a Herdwick hat? It's amazing. Where can I get one?
Where are all the trees? It's so unfortunate sometimes when you're filming, that you miss some intetesting shots. I thought a close up of a jumble of stones would have been something of interest, or perhaps a shot from the top of a hill straight down a rolling hill. There was one time when it looked like the screen was divided diagonally . The hill line behind you and the distant fells and sky on the top half. Just an observation.
Hi Henry - great video as always… just wanted to be a total pedant about something though - you often refer to the grass species in some of your videos, and to be fair, many others do too, as reeds. These are in fact rushes, and probably in this case common or spike rushes - not to be mistaken with reed mace or bulrushes - tall with large fat brown/tan cigar shaped seed heads. Reeds are a very different grass species, generally at least 1-2m tall, with feathery heads of flower/seeds, that grow in water beds, and are the grass species mainly used for thatching roofs. As a former reed harvester in the Norfolk Broads, and a partially trained thatcher, and an ADHD perfectionist, who appreciates your skills, knowledge and talent, I don’t want to come across as a ‘corrective twat’, more as just wanting share my knowledge, like you do with your brilliant vids. Hope you don’t mind fella 😊 keep up the great work 🤟🏼
I have always loved your videos, and watch them every Thursday, and will continue to. If I am honest, your videos are not as engaging and informative as previously. My feeling is that there is a bit too much chat and rambling to camera, and perhaps not as much 'camera out' time. I hope you find a new mojo that is good for you and pleasing for your subscribers. All the best to you.
"Man out with camera" is exactly the sort of videos I prefer to watch. It's why I subscribed to your channel over 4 years ago. It's why I watch the same channels week after week, and it's what I do on my own channel. I go out, take pictures, make video. Give us more of that, Henry.

"A man having a grand day out, out with his camera" ... you make the videos you feel enthusuastic about Henry, and the viewers will come. Thanks for another grand day out.
You make the effort to produce your vids and people make the effort to watch them, another great vid Henry
Keep them coming. I wouldn't change a thing about the format. Spontaneity is king and I feel like I'm trekking out there with you. Your enthusiasm is what gathered me in in the first place and it is indeed infectious.

Always do what makes you feel good! Thanks for taking me along!

Hi mate oh that's class, thanks for leaving a comment. Lovely meeting you and thanks for the chat man
Your enthusiasm always makes for a great video ! Don't get demoralised and do what you do
Still enjoyed every bit of it Henry…it’s real life isn’t it? Sometimes there’s an epic shot, sometimes just one for the memory and other days you come home with nothing but enjoyment of the day out.

Henry, I haven't noticed. I simply enjoy going along with you on your photo journey. Keep it up!
The first picture is not boring but rather dramatic and conveys a sense of mystery.
I like it.
No trees or shrubs, not even a rocky outcrop to get excited about.
Still, it’s such a beautiful part of England, thanks for sharing Henry.
70/214 🥳 🇦🇺

Excellent video. Very realistic so enjoy the journey.
Thank you very much!
I enjoyed the video as usual Henry.
Go for it mate, do what you want to do.
I will still watch your video's regardless.
I think that you will give everyone a chance to see a different side to your content if that makes sense.

I do enjoy your adventure videos, really enjoyed advent series last year

love the sheep hat! no good light, go black and white!
Henry it is very simple if you enjoy it we enjoy it. !! great video
Work's for me Henry
Great video Henry love this type of video, at the end of the day you have got to do what you enjoy most keep it up mate 😍
You said there are 214 Wainwrights, but you didn’t explain why they have that classification. Most people will probably know, but there will be those that don’t.
Lovely walk as always and some beautiful images. (But I would like to see a few more if possible) Keep up the good work👍
True, it's hard to get all the info in this videos sometimes haha
Love these types of vids from you man 👍😊
Great video, nice to see the herd wick hat come out again!
There you go Henry a new twist to your videos. You should get sponsorship from Tesco and advertise their meal deals. We can look forward not only to your photos but to see what meal you bring with you

I think the Pocket 3 is great, but the missing waterproof really bothers me.
Your footage looks great, so I wondered which camera you used.
Thanks a lot!! I have definitely been using the Action 4 mostly recently, much prefer it
This is the best bit of advice you’ll get all month and I can sum it up in two words…. “Cheese triple” Knocks spots off the chicken 😂
Lovely shots as usual 👍🏻
I’ll make that my next sandwich!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Yes definitely will do a woodland shoot soon
Sorry for the late reaction, I didn't get to watch earlier. We've been to Austria for a week last week (where I got to photograph snowy mountains, and for the very first time for me also the Northern Lights, and right away with mountains! How awesome is that??), so I didn't get to watch it sooner. I love these kinds of videos, and I don't think the first image is boring at all, I like it a lot!
wowww that's amazing!! Happy for you, what a treat
@@HenryTurnerphoto Thank you! It definitely was a treat!
Minimalism. Sometimes you don't need all extras to make a good photo.
Yes it spreads the weight out well, it's from Mindshift
Enjoyed the video, if you can get Vessi shoes in the UK check them out, comfortable and waterproof
Have you saved your GPS tracks on all the Wainwrights? That's a little side hobby of mine. I download an offline map and walk every path on the page. A project on the scale of yours would produce a nice map to print out!
I haven't done it but I should
@@HenryTurnerphoto Uh oh, back to the start. 🤣
I've restarted a few walks after the tracking malfunctioned. A little more exercise never hurt anyone.
Great 'real' video and 'real' thoughts on a very different landscape than your norm. One thing I must say is, is that a Herdwick hat? It's amazing. Where can I get one?
Thanks! I got it from a tourist shop in the Lakes, I don;t remember where exactly but there are loads around and about!!
@@HenryTurnerphotothanks Henry, I must have one!
Fantastic meal dealif youlike chicken!
Henry you do you… I’d far rather watch you enjoying a Wainwright than the RUclips formula “seven secrets of…” and “five tips to….” … ugh!
How many of the Wainwright's have you conquered so far, Henry?
70ish!!
Hope you don’t mind fella 😊 keep up the great work 🤟🏼
love that info, thanks a lot!! I will try to remember but I am terrible once something gets stuck in my head haha
👍👍📷😎
Would you be averse to doing a few video's from the van of your editing process / workflow?
I should do more editing videos, just always end up outdoors haha
@@HenryTurnerphoto Not a bad place to be at all tbf. Do what you do and love it!
Yeah I like this style…just follow along. Bit over five top tips or this one thing will change your….
Feel short changed....needed 35mins of boring, sensational 😊
