We took our children there several times, when they were young. The train ride, the paddle boats, ferris wheel, paint ball, cottages to stay in and so much more! We were sad when it closed down.
Hi Brent, Yes, I'm back to watch this again!!!😅 I also Love trains, boats, planes, amusement sites, old camps....you name, you find it, I watch you explore it😅😅😅 LOVE what you do & how you do it!! WORLD CLASS❤❤❤❤ Stay safe 🙏🏻
Hi Bret, this was an awesome video, such a waste of beautiful space, should tear it all down and build something new.Its sad to think that it was such a vibrant, fun place, loved the old footage, thanks for this treat!!💯👍🏼😎
Sad that it got so vandalised . Have you thought about contacting the owner of the ground to suggest them clearing it all away and putting efforts into successfully building a lot for brand new functional rides and a functional funfair to be put in there , they would make a ton of cash on entry ticket fees @@AbandonedUrbexCanada
I remember going there as a kid in the 90s Stayed in one of the cabins. I cant remember much, but I do remember riding the train around the loop. Went back with a few friends a couple years back and saw the place trashed in about the same condition you saw it. The loop itself was very historic. Hard to say what will become of it, but eventually the government will just likely step in and clean up the old buildings and everything else.
Thank you Brent!!!❤🎉 Another great explore!! Appreciate your hard work and excellent skills to find such interesting places and stories. You truly are gifted ❤ Looking forward to many more ❤ Blessings, Be Healthy & Safe❤
I know the graffiti is ugly but I like to see it. I would rather see it, vulgar or otherwise, than a blur. Simple fact is that as long as humans have been able to doodle, we've been leaving graffiti behind. As always, thank you for bringing us with you!
I grew up a mile down the hill from The Loop. I did a whole lotta trout fishing on that pond as a kid - then Francis Kelly took it over and turned it into a sweet summer cabin and recreation spot. It's sad to see it in this state now.
Another great explore. Looked like it was a nice place to vacation at. I didn’t know Canada had hurricanes. Thank you Brent for sharing this. Hope you find lots of good exploring in Newfoundland ❤️
Newfoundland is a big rock island in the Atlantic Ocean. If you follow Florida hurricanes that go up the eastern seaboard across the tip of Nova Scotia, out to Sea....there is Newfoundland. So no mainland Canada in the middle doesntget many hurricanes, or tornadoes or earthquakes. But the province by the 2 oceans get more than the test of us. Much like the US Midwest or Montana.
You certainly found a unique and very interesting location to explore this time. I appreciate you posting the pictures of what it used to look like. It has sure seen its share of vandalism over the years, sad to see. Stay safe out there!
THANK YOU BRENT FOR WHAT GREAT VIDEOS YOU BRING TO US ,,. This was a really cool explore, Brent! Really sad to see what it looked like before, and then to see it in its current state. I bet there are a lot of memories there.
What a history. Newfoundland is full of hidden gems. I sure would've liked to have been there during the grand opening. It's a shame Hurricane Igor wiped out any chances of salvaging. It looked like an ideal location for an entertainment park. There were a lot of cabins. Many families spending part of the summer there. Really enjoyed 😊 this explore. Thanks, Brent .
So Mr Brent is exploring our New Found Land? Interesting and for me exotic ...never visit there...flora is quite different some how? Greetings from Toronto and Thank you Gratefully !
Hi Brent You always have the coolest videos and this is no exception. It’s too bad those train 🚂 cars had all that graffiti and all that deteriorated from the years of sitting and wasting away. I’m surprised you were able to walk around all that overgrowth. I wish you would post more often but I’m really looking forward to all the good stuff you spoke about. Another 5 star video Brent. Your videos are always worth watching. Stay safe and well. 👍🆒⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ In case you don’t post before Halloween have a Happy and safe Halloween.🎃👻
We went there every summer when i was growing up, sometimes for a day, sometimes for a weekend. The food at the canteen was all train referenced. Railway tie fries, train track sampler pack, etc. I still have salt and pepper shakers with the logo on it at my cabin.
I remember riding this train during a trip with Girl Guides. If I remember correctly, at the time the train could only do a half loop around the pond and went in reverse to get us back.
Ya gotta give up with the blurring in general. It tells the stories of the bored kids who hopefully grew up and changed. It's the rawness of the tales of time, marked up by everyone who comes and goes. Love the work buddy, keep at it. Plus, men have been drawing wieners on stuff since time began 🤣
That's exactly what the train tracks looked like in Red Deer AB in the flood of July 2010. This man had a wonderful park and it's sad that it had to close down.
What a once fun get away for families!!! It is heartbreaking to see the condition of this iconic place now😞😰😢 Sad how vandals have destroyed what once was beautiful 😞😰😢 I have never understood the pleasure that they get out of destroying such a once loved & iconic place 😞😢😰 One day, karma will catch up with them for all of the destruction that they have caused 👍🙏♥️ Thank you for sharing this wonderful adventure with us, I truly loved it 👍🙏💕
Yeah. Of course the vandalism is to be expected. But what stands out is the end of someone’s or someones’ dreams. Both for the owner/operators and the constituency. One provides a little slice of respite from every day concerns, and one brings their family for an unforgettable week or two, building a battery of good memories from which to draw on for the next 50 weeks. It’s a beautiful spot and easy to see the inspiration from both the developer’s and the family’s point of view. Ultimately it was about sharing dreams of meaningful family time. I’m sure there are hundreds of folks who found and shared the dream, even if only for a few days.
You should have stopped at wow. I do agree that historical sites should be respected. But it is hard to say whether they (all) should be cleaned up... and erase from our memories or preserved. I am so grateful to Brent for bringing these captures of real life places that may or may not have lost their relevance. It all depends, but I think there is a enrichment to be caught in the middle of it. Outwardly you might look like a fool, but for those who think and feel deeply, with a ranging plain of perspective that sees beyond the horizon, I woulds say these are the artists of the future. The past unlocks the future.
Too bad they couldn’t use the train cars four a small house for security. Fix them up so security can keep kids from destroying what’s left of the place😢
So many small to medium amusement parks died in the 90s to the late 2000s! You were lucky to find what you did! Thanks for the tour!
We took our children there several times, when they were young. The train ride, the paddle boats, ferris wheel, paint ball, cottages to stay in and so much more! We were sad when it closed down.

Awesome Brent!! Always enjoy your videos! Thanks!👍😊

Thank you for exploring this so I'm not tempted to do so. The site is totally cool, but I'd rather not meet the wildlife. :)
This was awesome to see. Only thing missing was Jesus playing putt putt.
🤣
Of course their has to be two chairs left mentally unstable vandals need a place to rest when they are tired.
You mentioned this is "crown land". Does that mean that no one can buy it and build there? Thanks Brent.
Yes, but township wants to sell it and have someone open it up again
