i hit 20k farming for watchmaker with nothing but L4-5 traces by accident with only mei's buffs and everything below the hat of the theatre bonus ability unlocked so i expect to at least 40k+ when i actually finish the build
One thing that came with harmony tb is the tracking of separate gear sets for tb's various forms. So you don't have to remember what fireblazer was using even when you switch back and forth.
Yes! When I saw They Keep the Artifacts and LC not having to change everytime made me so happy, I wondered why did we have to change LC and Artiffact when we changr Element/Path and now I can keep my Physical Buil and Harmony Build!

Super Break is a really cool mechanic. It’s nice to see Hoyo continuing to work on make different team archetypes work. I’ve got a pretty scuffed Watchmaker/Hackerspace combo. So I’m hoping for a better LC and relic pieces eventually. I don’t have Ruan Mei, so I don’t think I can pull off any of the cool combos for this playstyle… yet. This does make me curious about what Harmony Path in the Simulated Universe might do in the future…
@@guobacertified For sure. I fully expect we’ll continue to get Break supports now, like the DoT-apalooza and FUA Fiesta. In the meantime, we’ll see how my Stellar Jades look after Firefly’s banner and see if Ruan Mei is a possibility.😅

I love that all 3 versions of MC have their gimmick. Physical MC has “2 ults”. Fire MC has taunt (though will probably be implemented on future units too). Harmony MC now has Super Break DMG which is awesome extra damage for the team.
I think that's indeed how MC's kits should be designed. Let them have unique mechanics that no other characters - even the Limited 5* chars - can attain. Huge credits to HSR devs for bravely designing such unique kit honestly.

Yes, their kits are unique, but the problem is that the first two are currently quite weak. Fire Trailblazer is one of the weakest characters in his role, and Physical Trailblazer is so weak that it's disheartening to think about. Harmony is good, and I hope that Harmony Trailblazer doesn't become weak over time because its kit seems promising, but who knows.
@@tyrkdlesath fire trailblazer problem is his shield passive imo. hard to balance with how easy he gains his shield. imagine if the shield is reliable, you just stack spd on him and your team is invincible while also providing sp.

I think giving her free means people will be more incentivized to pull eidolons for boothill and firefly (both break focused units), they did this before with Ratio, giving a central unit for a specific team comp for free to get people to pull units to fill the rest of the team

U don't need to build them well , their traces don't matter except for the energy one , relics are just break effect stacking and their eidolons are free, same with LC options. Honestly it's the best case scenario ever
As someone who has spent most of 2.1 trying to get better than "fine" relics for Gepard, I feel this comment. Why are the Preservation relics the only ones I CAN'T get consistent defense sub stats on???

There is just one single note to remember - the buff from the fourth Eidolon doesn't count towards passives that grant bonuses to stats from Break Effect, such as Gallagher's Heal Bonus conversion, and if we get one in the future it won't help with any other future Harmony units that grant a buff from their Break Effect. The Break Effect from the Ultimate and Watchmaker still apply to such effects, so you're still getting some sweet value from the pairing on top of the synergy that Super Break Effect has with anyone who already wanted Break Effect, but if you're doing math to try to exactly cap such an effect, make sure to exclude the fourth Eidolon, since it doesn't work for that purpose. In an inverse case, if you are ever trying to meet a Break Effect based effect activation goal (such as a theoretical future Planar Set), the fourth Eidolon WILL count for that, since this isn't a no fun allowed rule, just a provision to prevent things like Sparkle/Bronya generating infinite Crit Damage, no matter how convoluted the setup is or how long the chain is.
Is there proof of the non conversion? That'd suck if that's the case. Otherwise, lemme get back to this after finishing the story and trying it out myself.
i would hope this would work differently from bronya or sparkle since they added the clause of "excluding the trailblazer" to it which would block the loop of itself.
@@minecraftliker3I assume they mean all scaling conversions have this limit because if a second character has the same scaling, like sparkle and bronya buffing each other’s crit damage, it would infinitely increase if both increased based on each others boost, thus buffing each others crit boost, increasing their buff and so on… so it’ll be in place in case TB was paired up with another BE sharer.
Building both my harmony mc and Gallagher for upcoming unit Firefly. If Ruan Mei gets her rerun also, I'll pull for her as well which completes my full on break team for Firefly! Harmony mc's super break buff really puts a 'harm' onto those weakness broken enemies. While they are niche for break effect teams, they are definitely the core for them. Glad that they're really good and a step up from their previous paths.
I feel like any break focused DPS will love Harmony TB + Ruan Mei, I really need to build Stelle for Harmony. I never cared much for the other paths but this one feels like a genuine 5 star character.
If I counted right You get 1 eidolon for completing the main story quest and 4 leveling the clokie statue (1x at lvl 40, 1x at lvl 45 and 2x at level 50)

we still dont have preservation that do a classic taunt like the mc preservation do so ithink it will take time for it to be powercrept as at the meantime
If leaks are to be believed everyone aside ruan, robin, avenchurine and archon will be powercrept soon. Unfortunately they do it in typical gotcha matter and make all new units noticably stronger. They should add some cool mechanics and gimmicks instead but powercreep is just easier and brings more money.

@@eliskastrnadova7902 most of the time stacking break effect and speed is enough so long as you have a weakness broken enemy and their ult up you will be dealing really good damage due to how high super break can actually scale then you would want speed for more actions which means more energy and more attacks

As someone that loves using Sushang and Xueyi when I saw this Path appear during the story and I started to read their Traces and Skills...well, it was like bloody Christmas for me.
Gonna have so much fun with HTB and RM. Time to wipe the dust from Sushang, Xueyi and Luka Also that Himeko, Herta, HTB, RM team for PF looks nice, gotta try that
It's awesome that the Trailblazer is getting some love. I used her in fire spec for a long time, but then I got better tanks like Gepard and Fu Xuan and my Fire MC kind of fell out of use, but I love her as a character and I've always loved her look, so it's great that she's actually a beast now and worth using again.
Thanks for preparing such a good video explaining. I have to save for firefly, but if there is a Ruan Mei rerun I'm so getting that LC just for Harmony MC.
Regarding Himeko, I can see her being one of the used characters for this mecanic. As she always hits with her FUa whenever anyone is ALREADY broken. So it means she always will deal the super break at least to one enemy. With the MC buff depending on the number of enemies, she could even deal some damage to one target =)
she has both synergy and anti-synergy with HMC, since HMC has Imaginary breaks + passive delay + Ruan Mei delay, so there's not much breaks for Himeko.
The only problem I have with Harmony MC is that there is not too much option when it comes to Lightcone. I dont usually go for the three-star LC, four-star Memory I only have one copy and that thing is staying with Ruan Mei for good, and there is no good 5 star for them. If only there are more options
@@alvinhow7996 if you mean the Penacony Harmony one (the one with Clockie at the front with other cast) then it is not good. It doesn't contribute to any stat for Trailblazer, not to mention if Trailblazer takes any action (be it Skill, NA or Ult), allies gain the same action buff. So if you use an unfavorable action, it would very much decrease the team overall dmg. I should know, I used that on Bronya for awhile until I got her 5 star LC for her. And my Hypercarry Seele badly performed at that period
Well Ruan Mei is re-running probably in 2.4 and that means her LC as well which happens to be best for both RM obviously but also HMC, so that is an option down the road. Till then, just use whatever you have. Meshing Cogs or Dance Dance Dance.
another team which can eventually be made with harmony TB will be using firefly. that also gives more reason to use the break rope to help firefly's break effect requirement. it is a team i will be going for. sadly i don't have ruan mei (or even silver wolf for my acheron team) but will aim to try and get her on rerun
people loves comparing this to hyperbloom but honestly it felt more like Furina Xianyun C6 Bennett team where it turn everyone into a Pyro plunger. since the mechanic isn't at base game but tied to specific characters. can't wait to pull Firefly and Break every body and spirit in my way
You can get to E5 HMC on this patch, 1 from the traiblaze mission and 4 from the clockie statue Still can't find the last one, probably locked on future mission
The Amber Lord was overseeing my relic rolls because I only have 2700 Hp, but 2400 DEF. Managed to get 230% break and 146 speed though. Glad I hoarded watchmaker pieces while I was farming for Acheron.
I do wanna give a shoutout to Misha. Misha can reliably get all his Ult stacks, and his Ult can do a lot of toughness damage (and since RM is already a staple on Break teams, perhaps a Penacony Planar set might work?).
That E6 skill adds up to a titanic amount of ATK% multiplier so they may not be as bad at running a crit build as you might think! Could be fun as an alternate loadout for some content.
I don’t see how, though. You want to build lots of BE and SPD, how will you also a get decent crit ratio and atk? It will be very mediocre and not worth the trade-off.
@@guobacertified I'm not totally sure what 110% is referring to (the full skill is 7*55 = 385% ATK at E6 iirc) but lowest base ATK is admittedly pretty brutal for attempting this alt build.
@@daemonicBookkeeper hmc can easy do 100k+ super break rn and with e4 mc give teammate more BE base on how many BE he/her have in results more super break for the team, i just not see why you drop BE for crit
I would still prefer more Team DPS boost performance than solo, since HMC basically makes everyone a Sub DPS via Super break. E6 is only better in terms of Skill Spam build, since you get 2 more bounce hits which is equal to 12 more energy and more toughness DMG that leads to more Break DMG. And there are times when you just need to do Basic attacks and relief some SP issues for your actual main Break DPS...Especially Gallagher less ones.
I'm a Himeko and Serval fan, also I had Ruan Mei. And I planned roll to Boothill. Break effect is my fav thing in HSR. So I wanna build my HMC right now. I love new meta.
When the 1st time i tried Harmony MC in the trial mode, i was so impressed with his overall kit. Since i lost 50/50 to Gepard in the Robin banner, getting Harmony MC is like a bonus.

As a soon to be Boothill haver I'm in shock. Like, I have 0 limited harmony, harmony TB is a blessing from the gods Also omg my Himeko is about to be popping off
It's awsome that even though my Xueyi is E0 she'll now be able to deal a lot of damage thanks to her high BE. This Trailblazer variation will also allow me to finally make my E6 Sushang with BE rope shine brighter than ever.
Just for giggles I built harmony Stelle as a crit DPS with break and speed subs and she surprisingly doesn't do abysmal damage all things considered. It's nothing spectacular, but it's pretty great by harmony standards. Between 10k and 15k on skill (on unbroken enemies with Ruan Mei's field up). I hadn't checked the eidolons before building relics, so I didn't think there was actually any break scaling (which is weird for HMC's gimmick, but I was just going by what I saw in the traces), so I didn't realize I'd need to seriously invest in break effect for max benefit... Oh well, I've got a couple of break broken keels sitting around, so it's not the end of the world. Edit: Call me a heretic, but I pulled Robin's lightcone for HMC. All my other good harmony lightcones are in use already and that free energy regen is pretty nice, on top of providing the team with a non-break buff on ult so there's still some benefit if the enemy hasn't been broken yet. If I had Ruan Mei's LC, I'd be running that, but alas I do not. Memories is already in use by Ruan Mei, so my options were limited. Works pretty well tho.
Im planning to play Asta as a break dps, she does a ton of break especially in single target, and the speed Buff is perfect for break teams, Im so excited 🎉
Break had three problems that never made it appealing to me: it was dependent on the element weakness type, whether or not the toughness bar could be broken, and whether or not the break character dealt the breaking below. To jump through three hoops just to deal satisfying damage always turned me away. But with HMC fixing the third problem and weakness implants like with BootHill and Firefly fixing the first, I’m all for it.
Was finally able to 36star this moc with Harmony MC + Ruan Mei + Gallagher+ Xuiye and Robin IPC FUA comp. This patch was so good to me. Lost 50/50 to bailu but got both Robin and Topaz LC's and a Robin!! Couldn't be happier with this update Would love to see a HMC + DHIL + Yukong + Sparkle team that can fully utilize what everyone is bringing to the team!
TB's new in game portrait is so unique compared to everyone else's. Also, I love how TB is really really good for the meta/version they're released in. Fire MC was considered viable for a while, and now Imaginary MC is super good! Unlike another Traveler that I know >_>
Would really like to see some data without Ruan Mei. A lot of people don't have her and the difference without her seems considerable. I do wonder if it's worth building a team for HMC if you don't have ruan mei, or is it possibly even better with more characters with built out break effect. Also of course the fact that break depends on enemy weakness type, which also makes it so that it won't be easy running HMC all the time. It's a complicated situation for most players, I think, and a sort-of go-to team building philosophy would be appreciated, especially for people who don't have a lot of top tier characters at their disposal (like ruan mei, which from a distance would seem like trying to build a DoT team without Kafka).
Welt is a great breaker and his vulnerability and ult delay are a godsend for keeping the enemy broken for a long time, so yeah, sustain welt + harmony mc is a great comp. Not sure about using acheron with them though, her toughness damage is very mid, leaning towards the weak side(at e0 at least)
I love that I have E1 Ruan Mei with sig LC and a built Gallagher (E0, but that'll do). I can now build Xueyi as a proper break DPS with all these busted break supports. A full Break meta team is a surprise not alot of people saw coming.

This guide is exactly what I've been waiting for. I had a feeling Watchmaker + Talia was the way to go, but I wasn't sure if Messenger/Fleet/Keel might have had better numbers somewhere, so hearing it from you is reassuring. My Sushang's been collecting dust ever since I pulled a real DPS, so I'll definitely be putting her back to go use. At least... until S/HE arrives 🔥🔥

I'm considering E1 Clara, Harmony MC, Hanya and Luocha as my team. I can't speak for its efficacy obviously, but I figured Hanya could offer some boosts for skill point usage, so MC and Clara can spam their skills a bit more. Physical damage from Hanya and Clara for the big break explosions, Luocha for basically keeping everyone alive. It was originally going to be Danny instead of MC so I'd say she's going to be a big buff for Clara.

I think giving her free means people will be more incentivized to pull eidolons for boothill and firefly (both break focused units), they did this before with Ratio, giving a central unit for a specific team comp for free to get people to pull units to fill the rest of the team

@@nicolas._.2294 Didn't remember, which levels contains his eidolons, but get it to 50 not that hard. I didn't even collect all chest end already get it with 600+ left. (There will be added exchange for 5k credits for every 200 tickets after 50 level. No more free rewards, I guess)

U don't need to build them well , their traces don't matter except for the energy one , relics are just break effect stacking and their eidolons are free, same with LC options. Honestly it's the best case scenario ever

There is just one single note to remember - the buff from the fourth Eidolon doesn't count towards passives that grant bonuses to stats from Break Effect, such as Gallagher's Heal Bonus conversion, and if we get one in the future it won't help with any other future Harmony units that grant a buff from their Break Effect. The Break Effect from the Ultimate and Watchmaker still apply to such effects, so you're still getting some sweet value from the pairing on top of the synergy that Super Break Effect has with anyone who already wanted Break Effect, but if you're doing math to try to exactly cap such an effect, make sure to exclude the fourth Eidolon, since it doesn't work for that purpose.
In an inverse case, if you are ever trying to meet a Break Effect based effect activation goal (such as a theoretical future Planar Set), the fourth Eidolon WILL count for that, since this isn't a no fun allowed rule, just a provision to prevent things like Sparkle/Bronya generating infinite Crit Damage, no matter how convoluted the setup is or how long the chain is.
Is there proof of the non conversion? That'd suck if that's the case.
Otherwise, lemme get back to this after finishing the story and trying it out myself.
i would hope this would work differently from bronya or sparkle since they added the clause of "excluding the trailblazer" to it which would block the loop of itself.

@@minecraftliker3I assume they mean all scaling conversions have this limit because if a second character has the same scaling, like sparkle and bronya buffing each other’s crit damage, it would infinitely increase if both increased based on each others boost, thus buffing each others crit boost, increasing their buff and so on… so it’ll be in place in case TB was paired up with another BE sharer.
Building both my harmony mc and Gallagher for upcoming unit Firefly. If Ruan Mei gets her rerun also, I'll pull for her as well which completes my full on break team for Firefly!
Harmony mc's super break buff really puts a 'harm' onto those weakness broken enemies. While they are niche for break effect teams, they are definitely the core for them. Glad that they're really good and a step up from their previous paths.
Pray with me that Ruan Mei rerun is not same time as Firefly banner 🙏🙏🙏

I feel like any break focused DPS will love Harmony TB + Ruan Mei, I really need to build Stelle for Harmony. I never cared much for the other paths but this one feels like a genuine 5 star character.

If leaks are to be believed everyone aside ruan, robin, avenchurine and archon will be powercrept soon. Unfortunately they do it in typical gotcha matter and make all new units noticably stronger. They should add some cool mechanics and gimmicks instead but powercreep is just easier and brings more money.

so long as you have a weakness broken enemy and their ult up you will be dealing really good damage due to how high super break can actually scale
then you would want speed for more actions which means more energy and more attacks

It's awesome that the Trailblazer is getting some love. I used her in fire spec for a long time, but then I got better tanks like Gepard and Fu Xuan and my Fire MC kind of fell out of use, but I love her as a character and I've always loved her look, so it's great that she's actually a beast now and worth using again.

Regarding Himeko, I can see her being one of the used characters for this mecanic. As she always hits with her FUa whenever anyone is ALREADY broken. So it means she always will deal the super break at least to one enemy. With the MC buff depending on the number of enemies, she could even deal some damage to one target =)
she has both synergy and anti-synergy with HMC, since HMC has Imaginary breaks + passive delay + Ruan Mei delay, so there's not much breaks for Himeko.
The only problem I have with Harmony MC is that there is not too much option when it comes to Lightcone. I dont usually go for the three-star LC, four-star Memory I only have one copy and that thing is staying with Ruan Mei for good, and there is no good 5 star for them. If only there are more options
Could make do with just r5 Meshing Cogs or Dance 3x LC for now.
Keeping the HMC's Ult Buff uptime ASAP is more important than giving the MC more "BE".

It doesn't contribute to any stat for Trailblazer, not to mention if Trailblazer takes any action (be it Skill, NA or Ult), allies gain the same action buff. So if you use an unfavorable action, it would very much decrease
the team overall dmg.
I should know, I used that on Bronya for awhile until I got her 5 star LC for her. And my Hypercarry Seele badly performed at that period
Well Ruan Mei is re-running probably in 2.4 and that means her LC as well which happens to be best for both RM obviously but also HMC, so that is an option down the road. Till then, just use whatever you have. Meshing Cogs or Dance Dance Dance.

another team which can eventually be made with harmony TB will be using firefly. that also gives more reason to use the break rope to help firefly's break effect requirement. it is a team i will be going for. sadly i don't have ruan mei (or even silver wolf for my acheron team) but will aim to try and get her on rerun
people loves comparing this to hyperbloom but honestly it felt more like Furina Xianyun C6 Bennett team where it turn everyone into a Pyro plunger. since the mechanic isn't at base game but tied to specific characters. can't wait to pull Firefly and Break every body and spirit in my way

The Amber Lord was overseeing my relic rolls because I only have 2700 Hp, but 2400 DEF. Managed to get 230% break and 146 speed though. Glad I hoarded watchmaker pieces while I was farming for Acheron.

I do wanna give a shoutout to Misha. Misha can reliably get all his Ult stacks, and his Ult can do a lot of toughness damage (and since RM is already a staple on Break teams, perhaps a Penacony Planar set might work?).
That E6 skill adds up to a titanic amount of ATK% multiplier so they may not be as bad at running a crit build as you might think! Could be fun as an alternate loadout for some content.
I don’t see how, though. You want to build lots of BE and SPD, how will you also a get decent crit ratio and atk? It will be very mediocre and not worth the trade-off.
Lowest base ATK in the game, 110% ATK multiplier.. need to stack break and SPD, nah.
@@guobacertified I'm not totally sure what 110% is referring to (the full skill is 7*55 = 385% ATK at E6 iirc) but lowest base ATK is admittedly pretty brutal for attempting this alt build.

I would still prefer more Team DPS boost performance than solo, since HMC basically makes everyone a Sub DPS via Super break.
E6 is only better in terms of Skill Spam build, since you get 2 more bounce hits which is equal to 12 more energy and more toughness DMG that leads to more Break DMG.
And there are times when you just need to do Basic attacks and relief some SP issues for your actual main Break DPS...Especially Gallagher less ones.
I'm a Himeko and Serval fan, also I had Ruan Mei. And I planned roll to Boothill. Break effect is my fav thing in HSR. So I wanna build my HMC right now.

When the 1st time i tried Harmony MC in the trial mode, i was so impressed with his overall kit. Since i lost 50/50 to Gepard in the Robin banner, getting Harmony MC is like a bonus.
I lost the 50/50 on Topaz to Gepard, saving for Firefly now which means not pulling at all till she releases.

as soon as I saw the extra hit damage I was like oh that's broken lmao
Just for giggles I built harmony Stelle as a crit DPS with break and speed subs and she surprisingly doesn't do abysmal damage all things considered. It's nothing spectacular, but it's pretty great by harmony standards. Between 10k and 15k on skill (on unbroken enemies with Ruan Mei's field up). I hadn't checked the eidolons before building relics, so I didn't think there was actually any break scaling (which is weird for HMC's gimmick, but I was just going by what I saw in the traces), so I didn't realize I'd need to seriously invest in break effect for max benefit... Oh well, I've got a couple of break broken keels sitting around, so it's not the end of the world.
Edit: Call me a heretic, but I pulled Robin's lightcone for HMC. All my other good harmony lightcones are in use already and that free energy regen is pretty nice, on top of providing the team with a non-break buff on ult so there's still some benefit if the enemy hasn't been broken yet. If I had Ruan Mei's LC, I'd be running that, but alas I do not. Memories is already in use by Ruan Mei, so my options were limited. Works pretty well tho.
Im planning to play Asta as a break dps, she does a ton of break especially in single target, and the speed Buff is perfect for break teams, Im so excited 🎉

Break had three problems that never made it appealing to me: it was dependent on the element weakness type, whether or not the toughness bar could be broken, and whether or not the break character dealt the breaking below. To jump through three hoops just to deal satisfying damage always turned me away. But with HMC fixing the third problem and weakness implants like with BootHill and Firefly fixing the first, I’m all for it.

TB's new in game portrait is so unique compared to everyone else's. Also, I love how TB is really really good for the meta/version they're released in. Fire MC was considered viable for a while, and now Imaginary MC is super good! Unlike another Traveler that I know >_>

Would really like to see some data without Ruan Mei. A lot of people don't have her and the difference without her seems considerable. I do wonder if it's worth building a team for HMC if you don't have ruan mei, or is it possibly even better with more characters with built out break effect. Also of course the fact that break depends on enemy weakness type, which also makes it so that it won't be easy running HMC all the time. It's a complicated situation for most players, I think, and a sort-of go-to team building philosophy would be appreciated, especially for people who don't have a lot of top tier characters at their disposal (like ruan mei, which from a distance would seem like trying to build a DoT team without Kafka).

Welt is a great breaker and his vulnerability and ult delay are a godsend for keeping the enemy broken for a long time, so yeah, sustain welt + harmony mc is a great comp. Not sure about using acheron with them though, her toughness damage is very mid, leaning towards the weak side(at e0 at least)
I love that I have E1 Ruan Mei with sig LC and a built Gallagher (E0, but that'll do). I can now build Xueyi as a proper break DPS with all these busted break supports. A full Break meta team is a surprise not alot of people saw coming.
Hey there Guoba. I think there's a small mistake at 8:23. You mentioned attack% main stat orb. It should be either Hp or Def.

I'm considering E1 Clara, Harmony MC, Hanya and Luocha as my team. I can't speak for its efficacy obviously, but I figured Hanya could offer some boosts for skill point usage, so MC and Clara can spam their skills a bit more. Physical damage from Hanya and Clara for the big break explosions, Luocha for basically keeping everyone alive. It was originally going to be Danny instead of MC so I'd say she's going to be a big buff for Clara.
Clara depends on enemies to attack her, but HMC has IMG breaks + passive delay. They don't work together.
