Thx mate. I would never recommend an automatic. Even my daily BMW 3l diesel is a manual because I hate automatics. 😅 The 3S Turbo has a very good gas consumption. I have a consumption of around 10l/100km. My records at the autobahn was 8,6l/100km. So I think its not higher the the 3S non turbo, only if you boost all the time.

I need to do this with my celica and get some 100-200 data. With my 3.9 final drive and 8200rpm limiter I can do this 80-200kmh test without needing to shift if I start in third gear. 601whp also
@@ZeoRyu It depends on tyres. But based on my tyres (255/60/15 street radials) I can do 340kmh at 7500rpm and top speed of 372kmh at 8200rpm in 5th gear
@@grindstonegarage that sounds good. I remember there was a guy at ebay, who offered to rebuild MR2 gearboxes and optional he offered a taler 5. gear for ~300kmh, but the advertisement is no longer available. I researched for a taler 5. gear option, but can't find something about it.
How come the speedometer only display till 180 km/h limit? Should have changed it to one with a higher speed limit display (in both MPH and KM/H) OR a digital one :-)
Its a original japan speedometer. I don't want to change it, because I like it OEM/JDM. I have a pivot speedmeter in the centerconsole it shows the speed and remove the speedlimiter
Thanks mate. I'm not sure. I did a GPS measuring with my mobil phone and it show 4,0sec. But I can't believe it. I think 4,5sec is realistic. Stock is 5,3sec.

@@まるさん-e2i yes, I think the MR-2 is a underated car. My MR-2 has only bolt ons and running 100-200kmh in 10,2sek measured with a 10Hz GPS box. A Skyline GT-R needs more than 400hp for a time like that. I own a R32 GT-R too and I know, it needs upgrade turbos to make more than 400hp. The 0-100kmh time of the MR-2 is very fast too. There are some 300+hp 4wd cars which are slower. I love the MR-2, but it had an accident a few years ago and the bodyshop did a bad job, so the cars is still apart and needs front repair. 😢

JDM cars are limited to 180 km/h, it's easy to remove the limiter but that is why the speedometer only goes to 180.

Much faster than the Mazda
Almost half the time from 100-200 😅 But the Mazda is fun too, especially at the track or touge.
how many hp ?
@@xyz2url14 I think 300-320hp. I had it at the dyno and it measured 350hp, but thats impossible. Its the stock ECU, stock fuel pump and stock turbo.

@@Janawhitej1 I only drovr the 156hp 3S engine and it was a little bit to slow in my opinion. I think the 170/175hp engine is enough to have fun.
