    Great video thank you for answering those questions. I especially had the question about leaving the sticks in fpv mode even though that I'm learning how to fly in a simulator and mainly using normal and sport mode right now.

    Hello sr, why you use 0 expo?what pros and cons that have? And also how I do intepretate the center sensitivity? Higher means that there is less sens in the middle? Thanks for your time.

    • @Pineapple22
      @Pineapple22  2 года назад +1

      I have revised my rates over the past year and have pined it to the top of the comments. The center stick sensitivity is just that the higher the number the larger the dead or vague zone is in the middle. This is a link to a Google doc that outlines in a graph what the rates are doing. www.desmos.com/calculator/r5pkxlxhtb?fbclid=IwAR0DfRnnfMaYSUXF5g7moEjfHlwCOi84iq9WMOUaOhVQwauY-ggFDh-KpSY You can also convert BetaFight Rates with this chart. 🍍

    Thanks so much for putting out this video! Just got my DJI FPV and you answered the questions I had. I noticed that in manual mode you double press the Start/Off switch to start the motors and single press to stop. Can the switch be configured so that it's the other way around - single press to start and double press to stop the motors? I'm afraid that I could inadvertently single press the switch in mid air, stopping the motors and losing the drone. If possible, I would like the stop function disabled. I can always use the Pause switch. Greatly appreciate an answer - thanks.

    • @Pineapple22

      To arm or disarm the motors in Manual Mode you must Double Press. Two Click for Both Arm and Disarm. You should be fine if you accidently press the button once during flight. I have pressed the button during flight without problems. When you venture into Manual Mode before you takeoff just put your throttle all the way down then double press the Motor Start Button then you can experiment with it arming and disarming. Single and double pressing it and get a feel about the speed you need to press it Twice to Stop the Motors. You can also change the Arming of the Motors to the Camera Angle Toggle Switch if you would like a more Switch like Experience. DJI added this for people like me that have other quad experience that are used to a switch on the remote that arms the motors. I thought about doing this myself, but I have become accustomed to the DJI way and feel it is the best for me. This switch change was added in the New Firmware just go into the settings under Remote and you will see the options for the switch. You will want to practice arming and disarming the motors. If or when you crash in Manual Mode the motors do not automatically turn off like in Normal and Sport Mode. If the Drone is upside Down it will want to dig its way back to China if you do not disarm the motors. One thing I found if you are using the Turtle Mode you will have to switch the Transmitter Back to Normal mode to access the Turtle Mode feature. Thanks for Watching and the Question. 🍍

    Nice detailed explanation, would you say there's a big difference between this and a standard FPV quad? Obviously DJI made this easier to fly!

    • @Pineapple22
      @Pineapple22  3 года назад +1

      Once you get flying in Manual Mode it flies similar to a 5” Quad. It is not as responsive as a well-tuned quad. For me, the big change is the Digital Goggles and the perspective being different flying through gaps. I think that would be different if I had experience with the DJI Goggles on other quads. If I had to give it a percentage of how it feels like a FreeStyle Quad I would give it an 80% but a FreeStyle Quad will not return home and land itself! The battery life is much better and gives you more time in the air which makes you a better pilot. So all that considered it is a Win 🏁 Thanks for watching 🍍

    Hi, One you missed -
    will the new DJI FPV goggles AND remote work with other digital FPV drones?
    That would be great as all that is needed is another FPV drone with no need for goggles and controller!

    • @Pineapple22
      @Pineapple22  3 года назад +1

      The DJI V2 Goggles will work with the DJI Air Unit and Cadex Vista Unit found in other Quads. The FPV Remote will not work. The only DJI Remote that is compatible with the Air Unit is the older remote that comes with the inspire series. Hopefully in time with some firmware updates the new FPV remote will be compatible. I personally like my FrSky QX7s radio which will work with other quads if you install a receiver connected to the fight controller. Thanks for Watching 🍍

    • @Pineapple22

      I am using a Fat Strap. You can find them on Google they sell them at many of the suppliers like Race Day Quads or you can purchase direct from there site www.fatstrapfpv.com/ and they ship fast and have more options then the retailers. They have a pocket for the battery if you want it on the strap or you can remove it like I do. Thanks for watching 🍍

    I have a question. I dont get a low battery warning like you did. With other DJI drones you do. I saw yours did. I cant find the setting to set it to RTH on low battery. Can someone help. Thanks

    • @Pineapple22
      @Pineapple22  3 года назад

      I just tested mine and when the battery reached 20% it initiated an auto return home. I think the low battery is calculated on the distance from home not a set percentage. The screen displays a message "press the brake button to cancel". So, it does work on mine. When you have GPS and have your phone plugged in with the DJI Fly app it should show its location on the map. I have not tested this, but it is in the documentation. Thanks for Watching 🍍

      What mode are you fling in? I did my quick test in Sport Mode. I am not sure if it will Auto Return Home in Manual Mode. I will try it out tomorrow and let you know.

    • @Pineapple22
      @Pineapple22  3 года назад +2

      When flying in M-Mode (Manual) it will not initiate an automatic return home. The on-screen display gives a message displaying “Return home promptly.” 🍍
