I completely agree with you. There seems to be some hate toward this drone but it is absolutely the funnest drone I’ve ever owned. And I’ve owned a few. I use the Cozzi rates and love it.
A lot depends on the person, the flying style and where you fly. Pinching is generally more precise than flying with thumbs. Early in the day after 10 Starbucks shots I shake so I stick with more altitude and settings that are less likely to show unwanted inputs. Later in the day when the Starbucks wears off I can do some more sensitive settings and try for gaps.

Going into manual I started with some turtle-slow settings (like 40, 300, .1) and have slowly increased those numbers. I think that plus simulator time has really helped.
Found these settings after having this drone since xmas and was getting a long slowly.. Scepticaly changed to cozzies as was scared if changing what I've already learned... And wow.. Its changed the whole process for me.. So slick.. Confidence which was lacking grows instantly.. Thanks so so much.. 🙏

The rates I'm rocking after a lot of testing on my part from original rates, I remember finding unlocked rates and that gave me a great starting point, I have since raised them at a very comfortable feeling the way I fly, I like cinematic flying close to things but the rates also give me the right agility in doing stunts too, Try my rates for yourself and let me know how they feel. 100-400-0.60 Been rocking these rates for a fairly long time now and I get countless comments saying how smooth my flying is especially in the simulator on Liftoff and TRYP. my rates stay the same in real life too. But I agree keeping the rates slower does make for smoother flying and that's what I like the most, higher rates really are for stunt flying.
Not necessarily. I find Beta flight easier to set rates. With Betaflight you have a graph and a 3d model that shows how the settings effect the stick movements. The settings on the DJI FPV quad don't have anything, not even have proper instructions to tell you what effect you can expect. I'm talking specifically about rates, not pit tuning. I guessing these rate are similar to the "actual" rates in Betaflight but without a graph I have no idea until I'm in the air.

Well said. Caffeine is not n FPV friend. Monster and Mr Croc don’t mix well.

I like the snappy rolls and quicker response on the very high end, and the smooth throttle on the low end

Your flying using the Unlocked rates seemed smoother, but Cozzi's rates seem better when trying to do quick acrobatic moves
