Thanks bro! It’s definitely crazy how different it looks, I was thinking soemthing wasn’t looking right recently but the sus just tied it all together nicely!
why are the radius rods bolted horizontaly,???...when the pin, allows more movement.???.. or do superior think its better.???... & why are the coils loose.. ??.. they should be tied in top / bottom, so you dont rely, blow a fkng shock.. zeeez you do some sht in this country..@@RoamLyfe
One thing you didn't cover was the rear drive shaft pinion and transfer case output shaft alignment with the upper adjustable control arms. Also a good thing to tighten and torque all arms when vehicle has loaded the suspension on the floor
Ah, following so keenly, you are making followers so jealous I'm sure. I brought my 2016 brand new in Jan 2017. As I knew my payload was truly going well beyond specs, so I opted for GVM upgrade. Only supplier on offer for Federal compliant upgrade prior to rego at the time was Pedders, so Pedders it is. The chassis strengthened at rear towers by bolt in tower braces, rear diff housing reinforced by bracing. Rides great, enough flex for the tourer I was developing, but man that is crazy flex you're getting. Watching so keenly for anything I can incorporate into my build.
Insane! Love that you are doing it all yourself (with some mates helping out of course). Keen to see how the build progresses and what you decide for bar work. Also to keep the snorkel or go stainless? Currently it’s rocking some staunch grandpa vibes.
Two years ago I really wished I owned a Patrol and I’d do this. Now that I own a Patrol, I now wish I had the money to get this type of equipment 😂 Top stuff mate, great video. Now let me go cry myself to sleep and think of ways to make some cash. 😂
@@RoamLyfe if you were to weld a brace in, still curious how you'd fit it in, hope you do a good job of it. I opted for bolt in tower bracing brackets, cause as you say, no room for top bracing, well not without a body lift. Keep up the outstanding mods, making me so jealous.
That rear steer though 😬 You’ll definitely have to get @superiorengineering to send out a long arm kit. It doesn’t just sort out the rear steer. But it makes the lower arms push the car forwards more. Because of the flatter angle they don’t push the vehicle upwards as much under power. They should send me some 16” coilovers at the same time 👌
Would you ever think of doing a buget gq build that is engeered. Maybe a tb with reduction gears or some thing. Some thing that the average Joe could make. Rock sliders and bull bar winch and rear bar with 1/4 chop. And try and do it as much on a budget. Wouldn't have to be a clean rig but a bush machine that can Most go every were
@Roam Lyfe suspension!! @inspire4x4 ..Flat rack awning and solar pannel would be sick thats what im about to do to mine...also a head light and tail light mod. Wouldnt look half bad bro.. also build a rear set up dual battery fridge and all that for when ya not towing the trailer.. and a stainless snorkel make the wheels pop more.. and some more performance mods.
How come you went for 4inch front and 3 rear? What's the benefit? Are you going to go a steel bar and winch which will even it out? I assume the rear would be loaded more. Cheers
it doesnt have the guts to turn 37,s.. plus, all the bearings, ratio,s would have to be changed for the extra weight.. a d44, strong as a 9'' ford diff, will stand 35,s , with no mods, any bigger you need a d60.. maybe watch yank vids,,you learn more..
@@RoamLyfe yeah I don't the front like 2 days after and then looked at tge rear and thought yep that will hit 😅 got the notch plate sitting there just gotta cut and weld it in

Great vid. I ran superior in my old gu 4.8 with 5 inch lift and efs extreme shocks. Worked really well, but this new gen gear they have takes it even further. Keep up the great work. I'll keeping watching and it might be time to swap out the old man emu 2 inch in my 2011 crd to some superior goodness. 👌🇦🇺
Insane how much difference a decent lift does to the look of a 4x4, looks wicked man! Keen to see her off-road!

The only thing I don’t like about these videos is that there isn’t more of them.
I wish I had the time to get more out there!! 😓
That flex is extremely crazy haha I love it. I swear every build you do just gets better 🤙🏼
This is going to be the best build I’ve done by far!
Editing skills are getting mint mate, videos just keep getting better and better 👌🏼
Thanks Shane!!
7:17 funny looking trailing arms haha
😂😂 didn’t even realise I said that 🥹
These videos are so good man keep it up
Wow 😮 that’s sick as looking mint mate. 👍🏽. Can’t wait to see the bar work 😊
Patrols coming along very nice mate, love the clean look, no bar etc.
So sick, mad flex. Well done 🤙
I’m so impressed with this bro! Good job on the build aye.
The mighty GU looking boss bruz haha.
Keep up with the vids brother! Keen to keep watching
Damn Son! That's fley. Such a great build. Really enjoy your content.
Running this exact setup in my GQ. Can not get enough of it!
Loved the video. Any reason you chose 4" front and 3" rear? with all the stuff it will be heavier at a later stage when you are kitted out.

flex is crazy, she would definitely go alright on the tracks. maybe a tuff tight wrap around bullbar would look killer 🤌🏻
You have longer shocks on the 3" coils & shorter shocks on the 4" coils? Please explain
Also, don't hyperflex have more flex than superflex?
what was the reason for doing different sus heights, why didn't you do just both 3 inch or both 4?
I don't think it needs much more to be honest, I'm loving the clean minimalist look, now that it's got some snazzy suspension that is (shaynooooo)

Awesome video, I’d love to see an airbox a nice black staino and a real clean look rear bar with a set of swing aways
These videos are so good man keep it up. Would love to see a read draw set up in it with a sick 12v!!
You have made my decision for my GU! Good job mate.
I saw the pole you did on instagram on what colour bar work! Can’t wait to see how tuff she’s gonna look with that! 🤙🏻💪🏻
Looks mint mate can’t wait to see it have a go up at glassy. Keep up the good work 🤙
Superb work you got there!
Thanks legend!
Flexxy boi 🔥
Go the Patrol! 🛻📹🤙😎
I don't think its a good idea to have missmatched front n rear height ,
you have a different intercooler ..
strange I have bigger lift than u n never had to flip my tailshaft . must be a certain model.
good that you got the wheel alignment done !
Fark yeah boi😂🤙🏻

Good on ya mate , you are a top bloke . When ya coming to WA??
Kinda makes me want to do the front suspension on my car
I have the same patrol. Would love a set up like this
I’d love you see you knock up some sliders like you did on the gq and also a mint bar! Can’t decide what bullbar to go on my series 4!
Is there any reason you didn’t do a rear tower brace while you were at it?
Definitely a missed opportunity. GUs are notorious for breaking rear towers once they are loaded up.
I have rear aircon and brake lines that are a bitch to fit the brace in! I was actually thinking about welding some angle iron across the two!
Ahhh I see, guess that would require some moving of lines and having to lift the cab up I assume

Great stuff, good video
One Badass Patrol Y61
That looks great. Did you put the sway bars on only at the rear? How is the road holding - I'm keen to copy this setup.
That rear steer though 😬

Hell yeah money well spent
This is the tidiest rig out man 🤙🏼
Custom rear bar, and I’ll buy the bumper off you😅
Gimme time, I'm gonna put GU suspension and diffs under a triton and make it flex like that. One day
Yeww, up the dirty triton!
Show us the difference in flex with the hyperflex sway bars in front and rear
Yeah I will do that on Instagram!! I havnt put them in yet 😀
You could’ve drop the diff on the hoist. Watch your brake lines. And keep radius arm bushes tight. It’ll just bind up and stop.
custom headlights and an aggressive bar would be sick

Mint flex 🤩
Me Honestly A Fan Of The No Bar Work Look But It'll Definitely Need Some
Yeah I love the look but it’s a bit anoying not having barwork off-road!
"the family car I'm not going to go crazy on".......... lols
I tell him this all the time 😂
Is truly insane travel, those rims really suit the colour of the car and dude did you lose a bet to grow that mullet ?
I love the suspension 🇮🇳👊🏾👊🏾🥰
Love the end edit

hey mate…what make and model are your rims please where and how much?…cheers
Love it
Thats awesome u got given a 10k suspension set up for free, anything over a 2" lift is a defect in WA tho..
If you get caught 😩
The sway bars are disconnected right?
Amazing. Just wonder will 37” will fit to patrol without any trimming and using same as your choice of suspension?
it doesnt have the guts to turn 37,s.. plus, all the bearings, ratio,s would have to be changed for the extra weight.. a d44, strong as a 9'' ford diff, will stand 35,s , with no mods, any bigger you need a d60.. maybe watch yank vids,,you learn more..
I didn’t see tower braces in the rear. Should of done this while doin the suspension hood piece of mind there common to bend/rip off
Is this the new rd legal lift from superior?
Very neat!!!
Just out of curiousity, can you go 37x12.5x17 without any rubbing issues on offroadings??
are you fkn for real.. it doesnt have the guts ratio,s , bearings, brakes, to handle them.. fk,,wake up..
you earn that bro
Thanks legend!
How good 🥵
So jumped ship from fulcrum to superior?
Are you going to put a spare tire on the back mate?
Thinking about a colour change ?
What do you do for work mate ?
Why 4in in the front an 3in in the back?
fuck yeah congrats on the superior sponno
How did yah gi with the front a rear shaft for clearance bro ?
Flipped rear and it’s still hitting a bit, front isn’t great, Probly going to have to notch it
@@RoamLyfe yeah I don't the front like 2 days after and then looked at tge rear and thought yep that will hit 😅 got the notch plate sitting there just gotta cut and weld it in
Oof that suspension 🤤
Kinda curious to see what rear bar you decide to go for when the time comes
@horrordays
😮. Flex
👍
Suspension, I’d love to see some custom roof racks on the old girl, if not some custom bar work to keep her safe
Nather good video mate and patrol looking mint 👌
And is there a promo code for the website thay have
Thanks legend! I don’t have a code yet sorry!!
Why not long arms this time?
Why would drop the res on the sharft like that.
I actually didn’t mean to haha 😓😓

Rock Slayer suspension it's a double translated suspension system
instead of dropping the diff onto stands you can use ratchet straps to hold the diff up by strapping to chassis
Good idea actually! Thanks mate!
Mental note for when I have to do my leaf bushings 🤔
Awesome stuff mate keep it up
Thanks mick!!
Get the tape measure out to the bottom of the tyre and put up the numbers
Will do next forklift run!
Would love to see a steel snorkel on big rig

The new stuff is nuts, definitely need some under your GU!
@@RoamLyfe yeah the OME was on the GU when i got it but its very rigid gear. Definitely looking into the superior 3 inch kits though.
I wonder how I can market an S4 with $9600 of suspension to the misso 🤔
Tell her it only cost $4100 and just say there was an issue with them overcharging and you’re waiting on a refund
Will give you time to come up with an excuse! Haha
Thats awesome. Pity they didn't give out any discount codes for you 2 share.
А как в реальных условиях поведёт подвеска? Надо тест драйв
Looking wicked Tom, can I ask what a kit like this costs plz mate 👌👌
$9600 for everything including the sway bars, the kit alone without sway bars was around $6500 and minus a few other things
@@RoamLyfe Thanks mate can't wait to see the big rig hit the tracks too buddy 👌👌
TNT__4X4
Did the 4x4 crocs come with the kit? 😂
Это всё интересно, но на углы карданов бы глянуть
How much did all that cost? 😳
$9500 kit for everything, considering how much there was and the quality it’s quite impressive for the price!
Thst makes my old tj Jeep with a 3 inch lift look like a toy 😂🥸
👍👍👍
I don't see the point in having the front higher than the rear, unless you are factoring in the weight of front barwork.
Yeah I am getting a bar and winch!
No need for 100mm bump stop extensions in the front unless u plan on running 37s and 13” travel shocks in the front, just wasting ya up travel
Imagine this thing as the same colour as coal
👍🏻
oooh,,oooh,,, all u.s. 4x4,s have coil retainers, TOP & BOTTOM..
Fuck yea fuck yea 🎉
It’s coal 2.0 with less coal and more of everything else
