    Great work mate👍 i really enjoyed the west coast trip you done with Tyler aswell, $1000 track was dry as for a change😂

      @timmyhasheart  Год назад +2

      Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed it, yeah bloody oath it was.. I mean still wet but for that place it was pretty dry, I tell you what though some of the bog holes are actually harder with no water in them because you can’t float through haha, just have the full weight of your car in peanut butter. Very tough winch 😅

    Best upgrade to a patrol, definitely check out the rampt long arm fix it kit! And the hoist looks like luxury I done mine on the drive way 😂 keep the content coming! Love your work!!

    • @timmyhasheart
      @timmyhasheart  Год назад +1

      The hoist is definitely a luxury haha, I’m used to doing stuff on the ground too 😅😅
      Not so much the long arms but the hydro bumps (next fortnight ep) would have been borderline impossible to do without a hoist haha, so much assembling, disassembling, testing through travel etc..

    Longer lower arms will reduce flex steer and give a bit more vertical axle path, but will create more pinion angle dip at droop. Can you get longer upper arms?

    • @timmyhasheart
      @timmyhasheart  Год назад +2

      Yeah you probably could but you’d have to modify the upper mounts, would be easy to work it out to get back to factory, just take the % of increase for the lowers and increase the uppers by that amount, but honestly I’ve never had a problem with the Nissan factory geo, they’re just really for aesthetics.. I have had a couple of instances when trying to straddle something slippery and off camber and the rear kept steering the ass into the hole but yeah mostly for aesthetics. 🤙🏻

    • @timmyhasheart
      @timmyhasheart  Год назад +1

      Not a whole lot, I’ve always had really good superior suspension that I rate very highly, if anything it might flex a bit better but haven’t done a lot of hard wheeling with them yet either 🫡

    I have a question for you experts in the 4x4 sector! (and I would like to know if you can tell me if it is true that the ironman nitro gas shock absorbers go well with the original set-up and can be adapted with the +5? I have a Suzuki jimny 4x4 with m13a 1.3 l petrol engine with shock absorbers and standard settings, yesterday afternoon I picked up the new ironman nitro gas shock absorbers and the 4x4 spare parts dealer in Florence told me that these ironman nitro gas shock absorbers are ok for 4x4 off-road vehicles with stock trim or in a second you could put the springs higher and it becomes a +5 high trim is that true? Greetings from Florence Italy!)

    Hey mate
    I just put a patrolapart crate motor in my gq and i know you did the same am interested to know your running in procedure
    cheers mick

    • @timmyhasheart
      @timmyhasheart  Год назад

      Hey dude!
      Yeah sure did, so:
      Do:
      - Get either really good mineral oil that you plan to run in it, or actual run in oil, I used Penrite Run In.
      - Crank it with the fuel cut solenoid closed until you see oil pressure.
      - Run at slightly hotter EGT/lower boost in order to really heat up those cylinders to promote everything expanding and helping to bed the rings in.
      - Drive it at low revs but HIGH LOAD.. For example load the car up wth some weight and labour it up hills etc. and get everything nice and hot.
      Don't:
      - Let it sit idling for any longer than you need to to give it a quick coolant bleed (I kept it under a couple of minutes before I closed the bonnet and found some hills), coolant fully bleeding isn't a priority right away, that will come in time.
      - Let it rev high with 0 or little load, breaking in is about labouring the engine so the rings bite in, not revving it hard that does nothing.
      Breaking in an engine is about labouring it under high load and avoiding the engine not having to work hard. You want it working hard with good cylinder pressure so the rings bite into the cylinder walls. Don't get confused with revs being high is working hard, all you'll do with revving high and without load is coat the cylinder walls with oil and not have the heat or expansion to scrape that oil back off the cylinder walls and it'll stay there and calcify in a way and your rings won't be able to bite in and this will ruin the engine's efficiency forever.
      Doing these will ensure good compression, good power, good fuel economy with little blow by & you won't use oil. I followed this for about 500km and then switched to mineral oil until 1000km and then drove it normally from then on with normal service intervals and mine is perfect. 👍

    Recently put long arms under my dual cab gq.. didn't realise I had to lose my steps. Only ARB steps but was good for thr kids to climb up etc and light stuff (I don't do the crazy stuff anymore) but I can't find anyone for a decent price to make my some sliders as the rear mount goes where the long arm mount goes 😭😭🤣🤣

    • @timmyhasheart
      @timmyhasheart  Год назад

      Superior actually make and sell a mount to go on the long arm mount for that exact reason, I have them but haven’t put them on yet because my sliders don’t have a mount there because I already got rid of it for the extra body mounts from the chop, but yeah search em up on their website 👍🏻
