I laughed at it first a few times, but then i saw how he performed , sooo goood, i also had a dream in the past about this song, it pearced into my soul that hurtfull feeling of pain, and i feel it even today in this song , it makes me cry because its soooo full of emotions
This is awesome. It's easy to recognize when amazing renditions of songs appear to come effortlessly to the singer. This is the opposite. It looks like it takes all the strength Art can muster to get the words out sounding *just* the way he wants them to. And it's worth the trouble. Fantastic performance
Although he clears his throat a total of 8 times throughout this song, it is still professionally done and so beautifully sung. A lovely song, evocative of many childhood memories.
Smoked.. Still smokes. Has refused to stop smoking. No professional singer should be smoking. It's the ruination of their voice. Amazing he sounds as good as he does--even back then.

Sarah Vaughan had such an incredible voice but it changed too with time--and we lost her when she was only 66. Smoking is bad for your voice--and your health. Garfunkel's upper register is shot here and you can hear it.
